162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.

Avatar n tn Also use good quality cosmetics, apply mild mositurisers and exfoliate your skin regularly. If still the symptoms persist then chemical peeling or laser removal can be done. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Avatar n tn net/follicle/folliculitis.shtml Some stubborn cases of folliculitis have been responsive to laser-assisted hair removal. This process uses a laser to destroy the follicle. This reduces the scarring that results from folliculitis. Let us know if you need any other information and consult a skin specialist if the lesion is persistent. Regards.
363243 tn?1331037450 This is an ongoing problem and I think the only options that will completely remove the hair is electrolysis and laser, both of which are expensive, and the laser hair removal can be tricky with dark skin. I completely understand how you feel and I'm here for you when you get frustrated. If you learn anything let me know and I'll do the same. Take care.
Avatar n tn But I too cannot wait till I can afford laser hair removal.
574673 tn?1234129578 The problem seems to be a Yag laser would be done first and then the refractive laser, which obviously increases the explantation risk. ( I know I have been all through this before and I am driving myself and anyone else crazy) Anyhow do you know where I can find out the reputation of The Boston Eye Center (Dr. Samir Melki) and TLC Laser Vision ( Dr. Eric Donnenfeld). These are the two people I contacted so far who could do either explantation or Yag and laser. They lean toward not explanting.
328927 tn?1227765440 However, equally, it means that there is no way of really knowing how good a doctor is or what the success rate is. They can say whatever they want; there's no one who regulates anything. I went for laser hair removal once and the doctor who was lauded as having studied in Germany BURNED my leg because she didn't know how to use the laser properly She also lied to me about the kind of laser she was using and it should not be used on tanned skin.
Avatar f tn I found a book online called The Atlas of Craniomaxillofacial Osteosynthesis Its a medical book for sale and you can only see a couple pages, but from the index there was a whole chapter on plate removal due to immunologic response. Also.... Allergic reactions to metal implants: Influence of wear debris Properties of implant materials and particles.
Avatar n tn Ive been to like skin clinics and gthey charge like upto 3k fr the treatment but yet its not a gaurantee to get rid off it as its a laser treatment. The cons are that i could get burns and the skin colour could go darker or i may have pale marks on my legs after the treatment. Therefore i never went for the treatment. I am loking for a treatment which is more effective and does not have any side effects. I saw the forums posted and was woundering if someone could guide me the right way.
Avatar n tn I had one laser treatment but it was a freebie and did nothing (SmartXide Dot laser) I've done all this for well over a year and NOTHING has improved. I look like a 40-year-old with an 80-year-old's arms. I live in Canada, so have more opportunity to cover my arms than someone living in Florida and cover them I do. I am embarrassed by them. I feel shocked when I look in the mirror. So ladies, I empathize fully. If I find a solution, I will post for you all.
Avatar n tn Keep badgering your doctor like I did and they might give you something stronger. I'd love to try the laser treatment or surgery, but I know those methods are only for extreme cases (or the rich kids!) I actually work in an STI clinic on reception (ironically!), and I can tell you now warts are the least problematic queries I have to deal with. It is a very tame STI with little to no health complications, compared to a lot of the other infections.
Avatar n tn that she had to order a MRI. The next day she called me in and had me go to a surgeon in Boston MA. right away, We did 3 injections, with in 5 months and I had very little luck. As of this time my only med. has been Motrin. I did not like the feeling of pain killers. My Surgeon told me my only choice was a Fushion. With in 6 months of my MRI I was going in for surgery.

Avatar n tn In order to cut down on the smell and keep things clean, I've removed my public hair with laser hair removal. My husband is a doctor and while I have never specifically asked him about this problem (I'm just too embarrassed and this is not his specialty), I am convinced it's bacterial and has to do with the change in PH inside the vagina, which is why the yogurt seems to help.
Avatar n tn I was very thankful for the finding and removal of the turmor But! I had another ct last week, my brain seems to be ok, I can't get him to tell me a thing about the chiari, I told him I the reason I came to him in the beginning was the pain I have all over my body, now the dizziness, it moves around and sometimes it is so bad I can't stand it.
Avatar n tn I have had 4 biopsies, and have had 2 laser surgeries for VIN 11. However, I still have the vulvar itching. I have gone back for another biopsie and nothing was found. I also have a clear discharge (alot) everyday. My labia is always itching, I also feel a very small bump on my libia. My doctor has prescribed creams, allergy pills, but nothing is working. I am so depressed not knowing why I have this ANNOYING itch. It makes me feel like I am dirty.
Avatar n tn The oxygen resulted in Retinopathy of prematurity, which was treated with laser surgery to both eyes. He was in hospital for 97 days. My son is now 6 YEARS OLD, & very healthy. He wears glasses only for distance and has never required any other surgeries. He is very intelligent showing no side effects from the brain bleeds. His only-on going treatments are physio and occupational therapy for low muscle tone which may/may not be linked to prematurity.
