Common Questions and Answers about Laser hair removal vulva

laser

Avatar f tn A mild corticosteroid cream like dermacort will also help. Also you can go in for laser hair removal which causes permanent reduction of hair and does not cause folliculitis also. Please consult a good cosmetologist/dermatologist for that. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn For the past year, I have been experiencing burning and stinging in my vulva (which is NOT made worse by peeing), which comes and goes but can last for over a month and is extremely uncomfortable. The area looks normal, and there is no unusual discharge. The last time I had these symptoms was in March - they came on suddenly with a stinging sensation, and lasted for 6 weeks.
Avatar n tn I am a bit worried that i could have some sort of disease or somthing wrong inside my body? I have read that laser hair removal could help, it's soo expensive, and I have so many areas to treat. I wish that someone would do some reasearch and find out whats going on, im just glad im not alone though. Lastly if anyone has a sucsses storey, please tell.
Avatar f tn My husband believes that this was a loose hair that got trapped but I noticed a follicle at the end of the strand, which leads me to believe that the hair actually grew up there. I am thankful that removal was pain free, but am dreading another occurrence.
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar n tn One method that seems to be effective and creates minimal scarring is the use of a hair removal electric needle; another promising technique uses a CO2 laser. The goal of therapy should be the destruction of the tumor with minimal scarring and no recurrence. There are no studies to prove the evidence of newexin in the treatment of Syringoma. Hope this information helps. Best.
Avatar f tn I did notice one small red dot beside my buttcrack (but I had shaved the area and gotten laser hair removal recently) that did not itch or blister or scab or hurt but once I noticed it the area felt sort of tingly.
Avatar f tn Well the top part is easy enough but underneath gets harder. I had laser hair removal back in 2004 or 05 and now that I'm pregnant it's definitely coming back!
Avatar n tn No, I get folliculitis in my buttock and I don't shave that area. In fact, I don't shave at all, had laser removal a few years ago. My dermatologist says it's staph. My symptoms were textbook herpetic, but my tests results are not making any sense. You see, during the first episode I had unilateral swollen lymph nodes, a bad sore throat/flu and around 6-8 ulcers spread on my vulva. None of my partners is positive for HSV2 and neither I am.
377493 tn?1356505749 Basically it is dysplasia on the vulva area (some of you may remember I had this biopsied a while back). It is most definately not cancer. It is uncomfortable, and a fairly large area. I have to have it removed. This is done through laser, but is a bit more complicated then I had orginally been led to believe. It means an overnight stay in the hospital, I will be put out, and my Dr. tells me a fair bit of pain afterward. I am scheduled to have this done Jan. 13th.
Avatar f tn shtml Some stubborn cases of folliculitis have been responsive to laser-assisted hair removal. This process uses a laser to destroy the follicle. This reduces the scarring that results from folliculitis. Let us know if you need any other information and consult a skin specialist if the lesion is persistent. Regards.
Avatar n tn another person question: Do you shave your pubic hair or trim it really really short. I know that when I trim mine really short and the 1-2 times that I have shaved, it got severly itchy until the hair grew back. It was like 2-3 weeks before the itching went away completely. I know that my legs get really itchy from shaving, so after I shave I put baby oil on them. You might try using baby oil to moisturize the area.
Avatar n tn Shaving does not help it at all and i have been told its better to usr hair removal cream but not to sure if it helps! Dont be embarassed to get them checked out you would be surprised at how common these lumps are! I used to be to scared to get them looked at but i am glad i get them sorted out now its a lot less pain to deal with and with treatment i dont get as many!
Avatar n tn I wonder if laser hair removal is an option. At this point, I'd go for that if it would stop these painful lumps.
Avatar n tn My fissures are located between the vagina between the vulva and left labia. They started about six months ago. I had been taking Hydroxycut and lost 22 lbs in 2 months. I was also working out five days a week (heavily) for at least 45 min. a day. My husband is also large in the genatalia-so I think this may be a factor. I have been using vagisil to stop the itching. I do not think it is due to yeast infections, but I do believe that it is due to diet.
Avatar n tn I THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT BECAUSE I SHAVE DOWN THERE AND THOUGHT THEY MIGHT JUST BE HAIR OR RAZOR BUMPS. BY THE NEXT DAY THE BUMPS WERE MORE PAINFUL. IT WAS BEGINNING TO BECOME UNCOMFORTABLE TO SIT, STAND, OR EVEN WALK. I THEN GREW CONCERNED. BY THE NEXT DAY THEY HAD OPENED UP AND WERE OPEN BLISTERED AREAS. NOW THEY LOOK REALLY BAD AND IT SEEMS TO BE SPREADING. THE LESIONS HAVE A WHITE ***** LOOKING FILM OVER THEM. THEY 10 TIMES MORE PAINFUL.
Avatar f tn sometimes sensitivity comes with this, sometimes not. When I say sensitivity I mean that every little hair, underwear or anything that touches my inner labia or clitoris is an irritant!! I can't wear underwear and I can only wear loose fitting clothing or the symptoms get worse. I've been dealing with this for 8 months now. I've seen 2 doctors and 1 specialist, none have really told me anything and all tests always come back negative (I was tested for herpes as well.
Avatar f tn I am undergoing surgery for the removal of axillary breast tissue under my right arm. The surgery is scheduled for 20 Aug 07. I was briefed throughly that the casuses could be hereditary, due to lactating, etc. I noticed mine shortly after nursing my youngest child (23 months) and it has been bothersome ever since. I have gone to the doctor so many times and they always tell me maybe it is my lympnodes or cancer.. I had a breast ultrasound done and there is no trace of cancer.
Avatar n tn In order to cut down on the smell and keep things clean, I've removed my public hair with laser hair removal. My husband is a doctor and while I have never specifically asked him about this problem (I'm just too embarrassed and this is not his specialty), I am convinced it's bacterial and has to do with the change in PH inside the vagina, which is why the yogurt seems to help.
Avatar n tn Except for maybe one thing that I found in almost all body, face and hand creams, and makeup and even hair conditioner that maybe our problem. It is called methylparaben, and it is and additive that is prevalent in most of our external products we all use daily. It has been banned in Europe and Canada but not in our own beloved USA! Shockig to say the least. I went to a web site called www.cosmeticsdatabase.com and typed in my favorite hand cream.
Avatar n tn Not only do i have to have a gross period, now I have to feel as if someone is stabbing me in the crotch with a knife.. and then I get to have hot flashes and facial hair and dry crotch!!! Thanks scientists.. you're really doing a bang up job. No wonder men like younger women. No wonder lesbianism is becoming a growing trend! I'd like to NOT feel like my ***** is being held at knifepoint someday.. can you "doctors" do SOMETHING for us?!
