Avatar n tn But I too cannot wait till I can afford laser hair removal.
485259 tn?1519050626 it hurts to get into bed if your bed is higher than usual, it hurts to reach.. Now, all this to say--- they had me watch a little video at my Drs.preop visit.. the "patient" was a teacher. She had the procedure on a Friday.. she was back to work Monday or Tuesday.. That may be pushing it.. But, back to your question.... I had an ovary and tube removed...
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar m tn Hello PATMfix, Please let us know how you are doing in a week/month. I have actually been going to a laser hair removal place for 2 yars to have my body hair removed. Still have PATM but I might try your suggestion. Thanks.
Avatar n tn I'm also planning on getting laser hair removal done if the Dr thinks that would help.. For the rest of you, you have nothing to loose by using some colotrimisol, over the counter antifungal cream for 10 days or so. Might as well treat the easy part first.
134578 tn?1546634665 Then after that, we face the situation of finding Basmati an indoor home where they won't care if he sheds like he invented cat hair, or pees on the wall. They love him at his (regular) vet, and once before I was hinted to by a tech that he would make a great clinic cat, but the vet this time didn't pick up the hint when I dropped it. At least if he were to live there, I could see him sometimes, and he'd be around people all day, which he also loves.
Avatar n tn Regarding the hair loss, when I started going through menopause at age 47 I would find a hair ball in the shower. Lasted for a while and then stopped. I've read that hair loss can be attributed to a lack of estrogen. So not sure if you're at that age or not. Hair loss is also a symptom that some people with lupus deal with. I've had some estrogen issues just recently and have noticed my skin is a lot drier than usual, probably a result of the lowering estrogen.
Avatar f tn they did a biopsy shortly after i did this post, and nothing specific came back. i've had it treated w/ medication (pills and topical) and also laser and it'll seem to look a little better for a few days but then i'm almost to square 1. it just will not seem to heal. just today they decided to do a second biopsy, because they also find it odd and worrisome. they did diagnose me with rosacea b/c in general i am very pink with capillaries close to the skin.
Avatar m tn It even states that taxidermists use them sometimes to get the hair off of animals. I can get my hair soft only briefly with olive oil or lavender lotion and lots of rubbing but then it is not more than an hour before starting from those bumps the hair gets all stiff and crunchy again. I am so scared. I already went through breast cancer and just want to be healthy. I am moving and hope things will be better but fear this infestation is on me!
Avatar n tn The same hormones are responsible for giving pubic and underarm hair their extra pigment, it's also why they are curly even if your other hair is not. Honestly, I don't think you should resort to bleach or whatever those creams are, the active ingredient causes cancer. It's not worth it, guys don't care/notice anyway. If they are naked with you and are busy staring at some slightly darker skin, they have bigger problems! Find a guy who isn't a waste of time, at least that's free.
720604 tn?1230853479 I told 2 healthcare professionals about my Hep C status: my dentist (via letter, since when I found out I was way between appointments) and my laser hair removal nurse. With my dentist, I see that they've added "HCV+" to my chart, but have never asked me anything about it. As with all my dentists out here (in Ca), regardless of the HCV thing, they ask you first thing if your health has changed in any way, and ask you to sign a release form.
Avatar n tn Shaving does not help it at all and i have been told its better to usr hair removal cream but not to sure if it helps! Dont be embarassed to get them checked out you would be surprised at how common these lumps are! I used to be to scared to get them looked at but i am glad i get them sorted out now its a lot less pain to deal with and with treatment i dont get as many!
Avatar m tn i also found useful removing any light around the mirror so i can't see the pores. 2 - for my legs, i did the laser for permanent hair reduction. i am still doing the treatment so i still have some hair. however, because the treatment costs a few thousand dollars and if i pull my hair again it will make my hair growth back, i don't pull my legs' hair anymore. however, now i became obsessed with my split ends: i cut them with a scissor and i can't stop for hours. today i hide the scissor...
Avatar m tn Apparently the astigmatism I had has been corrected (toric lens) but I am now slightly shortsighted (I had hoped for good vision overall). It has been suggested I could have laser surgery to correct this. My main worry is that I have what I feel is quite bad flaring from car headlights at night and also lots of circles around the lights, presume this is haloing. I see you talk about haloing and I am wondering if this has diminished/improved for you as time passes after the surgery.
233488 tn?1310696703 surgical or laser corneal relaxing incisions; toric IOLs or toric mutifocal IOLs; rounding the cornea at time of surgery with brand new (2013) femtosecond laser; post operatively using lasik surgery to remove residual astigmatism. 9. In cases where one eye has a cataract that is symptomatic and causing problems with important functions such as driving, reading, recognizing faces, glare avoidance, etc.
Avatar n tn Ladies, you are suffering form Multiple Miliary Osteoma Cutis as am I. This is a very frustrating disorder and I have tried laser removal (never again), retina-a (doesn't make a big difference) and manual excision by a doctor (best results). I'm desperate for a name of a doctor or esthetician that will remove as the plastic surgeon I saw said his practice is too busy for him to now do this type of procedure. Any success on removals or info would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn That seems to help but I have to use it every day along with warm compresses and a cleansing routine or the blurry vision gets worse. She now wants to perform laser surgery on me for a slight astigmatism I have. She says this will help, they gave me glasses to try on with the way it should look after surgery. I can see clearer but still double vision and she doesn't know if that will go away.
Avatar f tn I found a book online called The Atlas of Craniomaxillofacial Osteosynthesis Its a medical book for sale and you can only see a couple pages, but from the index there was a whole chapter on plate removal due to immunologic response. Also.... Allergic reactions to metal implants: Influence of wear debris Properties of implant materials and particles.
Avatar n tn Very interesting that you bring that up as I am a cutter and am also obsessed with skin picking (any bump on my face, chest or arms must be picked at) and hair tweezing (I spend *hours* tweezing out each individual leg hair). Good luck kicking the oxy habit! From what I remember when a guy I knew went through detox from oxy, swimming helped a little with the tightness in his skin/aches/etc.
Avatar f tn http://www.powaychiro.com I don't have enough room to post the entire transcript. To read the full transcript see my journal entry below: http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/182243/Hashi-patients--Are-you-TH1-or-TH2-dominant :) Tamra "An autoimmune condition occurs when one branch of the immune system over dominates another branch. This is called an either a Th1 or Th2 dominance.
Avatar n tn Suspecting a lost tampon might be the cause, but feeling both embarrassed and nervous about removing it myself, I then came across a video from a doctor named Doctor Gurley. I highly recommend looking up her video if you think this is your problem. Her humorous approach might help put you at ease and make you feel more comfortable and informed about what your options are to fix the problem. She made me comfortable enough to try and tackle the problem myself.
Avatar n tn Keep badgering your doctor like I did and they might give you something stronger. I'd love to try the laser treatment or surgery, but I know those methods are only for extreme cases (or the rich kids!) I actually work in an STI clinic on reception (ironically!), and I can tell you now warts are the least problematic queries I have to deal with. It is a very tame STI with little to no health complications, compared to a lot of the other infections.
211940 tn?1267884866 My husband and I have to shower together because I can't shampoo my own hair even. Even combing or brushing is an effort. And so far they are searching for the answer to this one. They have taken x-rays to make sure nothing is broken again. But leaning more towards an arthritic condition or tendonitis I think. I don't know but I'm not so sure. Personally I was thinking more bone cancer as my family is riddled with it but I'm no MD.
Avatar n tn My lower abdomen still has swelling - definately much softer, though. It was so tight that my hair folicles could be seen - they looked like big pores. Sorry, for being so descriptive, but figure somebody might want for comparison. The brusing is just light yellow, now. No pain except when I push on it. It had hurt so bad, even when I sneezed or coughed. All that is gone - last at least 48 hours this time. How many shots did you receive in each area? We're you nauseated at all?
948349 tn?1294383837 Irritation of the eyelids Rash Headaches Nausea Blurred Vision Mood Changes Stomach pain Rectal Bleeding Skin yellowing Joint and muscle pain. Delayed wound healing. Hair loss... (Occuring years after the drug is discontinued) Increased sunburn, less excretion of melanin. Decreased night vision. Okay, if those minor side effects aren't bad enough... this may convince you otherwise. Depression, suicidal thoughts. Increases levels of LDL. Terrible birth defects. Permanent vision loss.
Avatar n tn Except for maybe one thing that I found in almost all body, face and hand creams, and makeup and even hair conditioner that maybe our problem. It is called methylparaben, and it is and additive that is prevalent in most of our external products we all use daily. It has been banned in Europe and Canada but not in our own beloved USA! Shockig to say the least. I went to a web site called www.cosmeticsdatabase.com and typed in my favorite hand cream.
Avatar n tn My period is 10 days away and I just started itching again tonight. At first I thought it was because I used a hair-remover cream to remove hair around my pubic region, but the itching continued. I itch a lot before and during my period and it's painful once i scratch and have to go pee. I was scared but because I'm still a virgin, I knew there was no way it could be an STD... I'm wondering about the whole eczema thing though...
Avatar f tn I never really felt any better though and so the only thing that happened was that any time I told someone I did not feel good, they thought it was all in my head. Little by little, I lost muscle strength and became more and more fatigued. My hair started falling out, I had some joint pain, etc. all my lab work kept coming back normal, however, so no one thought anything was really wrong with me. This past January, I was under a tremendous amount of stress.
Avatar f tn The surgery itself was removal of the skin and fat. The procedure was not painful and it was done with local Anesthesia. The beauty of this procedure is that the dr can also remove any excess skin from the vaginal lips. I am extremely happy with the results. I feel all your pain. Just know that we don't have to live like this. Praise God for cosmetic surgeries!
