Avatar m tn I had a stent for 1 week after my 1st stone was removed. Since the removal of the stent, I have had waves of severe back pain similar to the initial pain I had when I discovered the stone. I heard the ureter can spasm as it heals and this blocks the urine flow in the kidney causing the pain. How long should this last? What is the best way of managing the pain?
Avatar n tn Can you tell me the results of your one ovary removal surgery? Have you had recurrence of endometrioma? Are you on oral contraceptives?
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar f tn and just recently got laser removal.....
Avatar n tn Regarding the hair loss, when I started going through menopause at age 47 I would find a hair ball in the shower. Lasted for a while and then stopped. I've read that hair loss can be attributed to a lack of estrogen. So not sure if you're at that age or not. Hair loss is also a symptom that some people with lupus deal with. I've had some estrogen issues just recently and have noticed my skin is a lot drier than usual, probably a result of the lowering estrogen.
720604 tn?1230853479 I told 2 healthcare professionals about my Hep C status: my dentist (via letter, since when I found out I was way between appointments) and my laser hair removal nurse. With my dentist, I see that they've added "HCV+" to my chart, but have never asked me anything about it. As with all my dentists out here (in Ca), regardless of the HCV thing, they ask you first thing if your health has changed in any way, and ask you to sign a release form.
748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
1498386 tn?1403031253 I just bit the bullet and got laser hair removal done. It was the best money I ever spent! It is not 100% gone but I am ok with going to get a touch up treatment about once a year. Trust me, for your peace of mind....laser it the way to go.
Avatar f tn The good news is that he said it is not and will not become a tumor or cancer--the shin is just inflamed in response to the pigment. The doctor basically gave me the options of laser treatment to remove the tattoo or to cut the tattoo out which will leave a big scar. But I know this Dermatologist to be very conventional and mainstream his thinking so I am researching other options.
Avatar f tn I found a book online called The Atlas of Craniomaxillofacial Osteosynthesis Its a medical book for sale and you can only see a couple pages, but from the index there was a whole chapter on plate removal due to immunologic response. Also.... Allergic reactions to metal implants: Influence of wear debris Properties of implant materials and particles.

Dont be embarassed to get them checked out you would be surprised at how common these lumps are! Avatar n tn I want to get it covered up with another tattoo. I tried laser removal, and it seriously hurts more than childbirth so i never went back. i have been reading articles whether or not it was safe to get a tattoo while pregnant and i'm confused. Although there is no medical proof that getting a tattoo while pregnant is dangerous to the fetus, some articles say yes, others say no. What do you guys think?
Avatar f tn I am undergoing surgery for the removal of axillary breast tissue under my right arm. The surgery is scheduled for 20 Aug 07. I was briefed throughly that the casuses could be hereditary, due to lactating, etc. I noticed mine shortly after nursing my youngest child (23 months) and it has been bothersome ever since. I have gone to the doctor so many times and they always tell me maybe it is my lympnodes or cancer.. I had a breast ultrasound done and there is no trace of cancer.
Avatar n tn Except for maybe one thing that I found in almost all body, face and hand creams, and makeup and even hair conditioner that maybe our problem. It is called methylparaben, and it is and additive that is prevalent in most of our external products we all use daily. It has been banned in Europe and Canada but not in our own beloved USA! Shockig to say the least. I went to a web site called www.cosmeticsdatabase.com and typed in my favorite hand cream.
Avatar n tn i too hve the same problem... Cn ny 1 suggest me nythn ... I'm tird nw...

211940 tn?1267884866 My husband and I have to shower together because I can't shampoo my own hair even. Even combing or brushing is an effort. And so far they are searching for the answer to this one. They have taken x-rays to make sure nothing is broken again. But leaning more towards an arthritic condition or tendonitis I think. I don't know but I'm not so sure. Personally I was thinking more bone cancer as my family is riddled with it but I'm no MD.
Avatar f tn I never really felt any better though and so the only thing that happened was that any time I told someone I did not feel good, they thought it was all in my head. Little by little, I lost muscle strength and became more and more fatigued. My hair started falling out, I had some joint pain, etc. all my lab work kept coming back normal, however, so no one thought anything was really wrong with me. This past January, I was under a tremendous amount of stress.
Avatar f tn My own issue is not only because I have struggled with this my whole life, but living in NY, the men in the street make very rude and nasty remarks in language that I do not use nor do I approve of. Happened just this past weekend. He said it in Spanish, figuring that because I am quite pale that there is no way I would understand what he said, wrong ! I was a Spanish major in Uni 30 years ago and understood every word he said.
298579 tn?1192250448 Yet another woman here, relieved to find she's not alone. I've had the same symptoms since age 33, and I'm 53 now. Mine started when I had a botched laser cone biopsy of my cervix which left my cervix a mass of scar tissue. I always assumed that my pain had something to do with my screwed up cervix. My symptoms were so weird that I never mentioned them to my doctor. I've done a bunch of Google searches but never got the right one to get any information.
Avatar n tn Can't wait till he's done. Do smells bother any of you -- like car fumes, hair sprays, perfumes? I'm just wondering.
Avatar n tn Ringing lots of bells here, but I'm still no closer to ny answers! Still got my cough and sniffles two weeks on :-( Good luck!
Avatar m tn I notified all of my doctors when I realized what was going on and they all told me that the belief that mercury fillings cause migraines was quackery and that insurance would not pay for the removal. They all wanted to give me drugs to mask the symptoms. At the beginning of 2009 I decided to just pay out of my pocket to have the fillings removed. I then followed the removal with a heavy metal detox called HMD.
Avatar n tn Can anyone shed some light?...I have had two myringotomies in the past...one for fluid removal and one for air pressure buildup....my eardrum also burst before the first myringtomy to remove fluid that was there. Any help would be appreciated?....I just don't know if I should have yet another myringtomy.....the doctor will do it but doesn't know if this will help...I also hear crackling, popping noises in my ears and the right one will open up and stay open, but the left is troublesome.
Avatar n tn The oxygen resulted in Retinopathy of prematurity, which was treated with laser surgery to both eyes. He was in hospital for 97 days. My son is now 6 YEARS OLD, & very healthy. He wears glasses only for distance and has never required any other surgeries. He is very intelligent showing no side effects from the brain bleeds. His only-on going treatments are physio and occupational therapy for low muscle tone which may/may not be linked to prematurity.
Avatar n tn I wake up tired every morning no matter how much sleep I get the night before - I can't shampoo my hair without my arms getting tired and extremely sore/heavy. I can't hold up a phone for more than few minutes. I cant' drive without pulling over and taking breaks to rest my arms. I am typing now and can feel my arms starting to burn. I've tried so many days to go about life as normal, but each time I push myself, I suffer later with severe pain and fatigue.
