Common Questions and Answers about Laser hair removal in atlanta

Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.
363243 tn?1331037450 I've had laser hair removal in the past. It was the best and the worst thing I could do. The hair was gone for like 3mos...but it was extremely painful because the pigment in my skin is darker.. I literally couldn't close my legs for 3 day! Yes I was ice packed down. But the hair went away. You have to do sessions and it takes at least 3 to inhibit the hair growth. Make sure someone who is familiar with African American and lasers.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have the same problem and it's awful! Anybody who says it has to do with your razor or shaving lotion, etc has no idea what you're going through. It's the hair growing back & having to push up through the skin so your best bet is to shave as infrequently as possible. Strangely, I only experience this on my legs but it is so incredibly bad. I can't even get by with scratching just using my finger nails.

748543 tn?1463449675 TMJ' as it is wrongly called by many) is easy to treat and self-manage or that it may all be in the patient's mind. The sources in the article stated that, "TMJ problems were originally thought to be caused by dental Malocclusion but that this was an infrequent cause of the problem". The American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), an organization of some 40,000 of the nation's leading dentist, recognizes the relationship between maloclussion and headaches.
748543 tn?1463449675 One of the most difficult concepts to get across to my TMD patients and other doctors is the connectivity of the Jaw and the Neck. In fact, it is my strong belief that TMD/TMJ should really be classified as a Craniocervical Disease and hence fall under the umbrella of medical coverage rather than treated strictly as a dental problem. To the Neuromuscular-minded dentist, "Occlusion" is an extension of general Postural Consideration.
Avatar n tn It's an at home laser hair removal machine. It costs like $600 but I bought it since it would be cheaper than laser hair removal at the doctor. I hate to sound like an ad, but it seems to be working very well. About a little less than half of the hair is gone from my arms and armpits but I don't use it that much on my legs because of the itching after shaving. About a fourth of my leg hair is gone right now.
Avatar n tn I ask her about the numbness after the last treatment, she said this is normal due to the fact that they do go through nerves with the injections. I'll update you in a couple days when I am not in pain - lol. Don't let this discourage you all. It is working - I can defiantely see a difference.
393685 tn?1425816122 Found macroadenoma (pituitary tumor) and hormone panel showed my growth hormone and IGF-1 were through the roof with a resulting dx of acromegaly. Had tumor removed Feb 09 at Emory in Atlanta and am 6+ weeks post op now with still severe fatigue. Blood tests showed a vitamin D deficiency and I have taken my first dose of 1.25mg of Vitamin D per my endo. I am desperately waiting for it to "kick in" and my energy level to get back to normal.
Avatar n tn About a week after I was sent home, I ended up back in the hospital in extreme pain in my back and legs. They fed me morphine (which was the time) but then nothing else was done. The tests showed nothing and they sent me home a few days after Christmas 2005. Well, I've continued to experience pain in my lower back, buttocks and of course the nerve damage on my left, outer thigh. My pain just feels like they tightened those screws to tight and radiates to my pelvis area too.
211940 tn?1267884866 Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night). I even have the same pain, in the same place, in my left arm, but to a much lesser degree (maybe a 5-7 at night, but bearable). I have tried many unsuccessful web searches, trying to find something that might lead me to an answer for what this is, so here I am grasping at cyber straws.
Avatar n tn I have tried EVERYTHING. Though it was because I shaved and let the hair grow in , BIG MISTAKE, it was 10 times worse. I am very clean , and also work out every day. The sting of sweat is enough to drive you crazy!!!. I am glad I am not alone. I have taken breaks at work to go scratch..I am wondering if there is a connection with heat as well or maybe even sugar intake. I was off sugar for alomst a year and started eating it again at Christmas and have been bad ever since.
Avatar f tn of the sites I have found, supposedly there is a place in Atlanta, GA that does this as well too.. but I haven't found any Dr's websites that offer good or reassuring pictures.. but I will be calling some Dr's again here shortly, b/c I am DETERMINED to look HOTTTTT for my 30th Birthday Aug 2011 !!! I will be back and I will come back later to post all the links that I have found !!!!!
940391 tn?1255758976 I have multiple non calcified nodules in both lungs. One is described as spiculated. Most 2-3mm. One spiculated one in lower left lobe is 4x3mm. Smoked only for about 2 years in late teen years. I'm 38 now. They have been following these for 3 years now. They thought the big one may have grown the beginning of this year but they did a nodule protocol in the CT scan which does smaller slices of film, so they repeated it 3 mos later with the other type of CT scan and said no change.
