Laser hair removal eyebrows

Common Questions and Answers about Laser hair removal eyebrows

Avatar f tn I do not want to explain to her why mommy is in there. I had my first Laser Hair Removal Treatment on the 27th of June, next appointment is August 2nd and this time they will use numbing cream!!! I'm worried that this will be ongoing for the rest of my life because of the PCOS. My question is has anyone gone through these treatments and if so what was your success do you still do touch ups?
Avatar n tn even my hubbie, he has never said anything to me about it but when we are getting it on I have to be very carfeul not to let him touch my face.. So enough is enough I am ready for laser hair removal. Does anyone know how much it might cost to have this done and how often do you have to go in for the "treatment"?
Avatar m tn In 2002, I got laser hair removal done between my eyebrows. Ever since, something strange has happened. My right pupil dilates more than my left, and sometimes my right eye's veins are more red than my left as well. Also, on my right eyebrow, white hairs are appearing. And I'm only 27 years old. Anyone have any idea about this??? Could the laser hair removal affected my veins?
Avatar m tn I am not a doctor but I am really hoping to get some responses regarding potential eye damage when being treated with the Palomar Starlux laser for hair removal. I will try to keep this short. Today I was being treated with this Laser and was wearing goggles to protect my eye. The opthamologist assisted was lasering an area on my stomach. She asked me a question about what area I wanted to have treated.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately over the past few years I paid quite a lot of money for laser hair removal (which is supposed to be permanent! ) but since getting pregnant I'm back to shaving every 2nd day :( not happy with my hormones!
Avatar f tn If you really are seeking for a long-term or permanent process, you could always look into laser removal. Just be careful because there is always the chance of something going wrong. My cousin used to shave her arms until the hair on top became super thick and she just wanted to get rid of it. She went in for laser surgery and they burned her skin - now she has a horrible white scar on the top of her arm.
334776 tn?1249972181 Everywhere else though I shaved every other day! I am so glad i'm getting laser hair removal my SIL (who does it for a living) gave me gift cert for birthday to get it done then I found out I was pregnant. but now I am able to get it done since I had the m/c last month. I had one treatment so far on my underarms and the hair hasn't grown back but bikini area i've had two treatments and it's still there but thinner and some smooth spots.
Avatar n tn I was very self conscious about it growing up- for I couldn't find anything about girls with nipple hair. I actually had laser hair removal when I was 16, but it has all grown back which is unfortunate because it cost a lot! I still pluck when their long enough, but they do become ingrown and I end up having some scarring as well. My boyfriend never even noticed when we first got together, I couldn't believe it. It goes to show that men miss detail. It was a huge relief for me.
Avatar n tn I am a bit worried that i could have some sort of disease or somthing wrong inside my body? I have read that laser hair removal could help, it's soo expensive, and I have so many areas to treat. I wish that someone would do some reasearch and find out whats going on, im just glad im not alone though. Lastly if anyone has a sucsses storey, please tell.
Avatar n tn shtml Some stubborn cases of folliculitis have been responsive to laser-assisted hair removal. This process uses a laser to destroy the follicle. This reduces the scarring that results from folliculitis. Let us know if you need any other information and consult a skin specialist if the lesion is persistent. Regards.
Avatar n tn But I too cannot wait till I can afford laser hair removal.
Avatar n tn I believe it must have happened when they first shaved my face (standard procedure for laser hair removal)- yet the shaving opened all the little acne bumps and must have allowed it to spread. Someone mentioned diabetes and menstral cycle problems. I have very irregular periods and have been diagnosed with " PCOS " (a pre-diabetic stage). I know my facial hair is rooted to this problem, yet I do not know how to fix it.
Avatar f tn My husband believes that this was a loose hair that got trapped but I noticed a follicle at the end of the strand, which leads me to believe that the hair actually grew up there. I am thankful that removal was pain free, but am dreading another occurrence.
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar f tn Also you can go in for laser hair removal which causes permanent reduction of hair and does not cause folliculitis also. Please consult a good cosmetologist/dermatologist for that. I hope it helps. take care and regards.
145992 tn?1341348674 I am so ready for laser hair removal! Of course I am still debating whether or not to shave my legs on the 3 Day. No power there and i am not sure the showers are roomy or whether we are afforded the time necessary to shave.
Avatar f tn If still the symptoms persist then chemical peeling or laser removal can be done. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Avatar n tn other hair removal methods I tried didn't bring the desired results. When I tweeze hairs that grow under the skin (they're so dark you can see them through my skin), I often cause bleeding and need sharp tweezers to do the trick. How can I prevent ingrown hairs? Recently I got a huge swelling on my chin (no fever) and the skin formed big flaky scales (I think around hair follicles). Loofah sponges or scratching to remove the flakes cause bleeding/oozing of clear, slightly yellow stuff.
393685 tn?1425816122 Most Dermatologist now have the laser hair removal... I think that would be the way to go if you can do it!
Avatar f tn You must check out the electrologist and be sure that person is well qualified and has a good track record. Laser hair removal is effective too but the results vary for different racial types so you must get an experienced doctor. Creams and topical treatments do not work for most women and you may have PCOS which requires other medical treatment. If you have other problems like acne, use a skin-care regimen for your skin type. The skin will gradually normalize if there is no scarring yet.
233488 tn?1310696703 It is done by skilled surgeons using prosthetic iris implants that have been clinically tested and approved by appropriate national agencies. Nor is this using a laser to alter iris color although I would never recommend this surgery to a patient of mine. Nor are we talking about contact lens to alter the appearance of the eye iris color when worn if the contacts are fit by a skilled ophthalmologist or optometrist and worn by an informed and meticulous patient.
363243 tn?1331037450 Hi coco727272, I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I am not African American, I am of Sicilian decent. I also have had problems with hursutism. I had something called laser hair removal on my face to remove upper lip hair, chin, neck and "sideburn" hair. It is really very effective and permanently removes hair as the laser kills the hair's root. You'll probably always have some hairs because you can grow new ones at any time in your life but it kills the hairs that are there.
Avatar n tn ) I know I appreciate it, and hopefully your partner does too ;) As far as laser hair removal goes, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get that down, unless there are certain risks that go with the area. Your best bet would be to call in and find out.
479589 tn?1208142779 Porn stars get laser hair removal. I swear I heard it in a radio show interview. Really...seriously.....I swear!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn But what I have noticed is that the only place my hair stoped growing is my eyebrows!!!! Sunday was the first day I re-plucked them since over 1 month! Go figure!!!!
Avatar f tn I would advise you not to get electrolysis or to use harsh chemicals if you have hyperpigmentation. The only non irritating form of hair removal is shaving, which I very happily did for many years before the mishap. Take care and let me know how you get on.

Avatar m tn i also found useful removing any light around the mirror so i can't see the pores. 2 - for my legs, i did the laser for permanent hair reduction. i am still doing the treatment so i still have some hair. however, because the treatment costs a few thousand dollars and if i pull my hair again it will make my hair growth back, i don't pull my legs' hair anymore. however, now i became obsessed with my split ends: i cut them with a scissor and i can't stop for hours. today i hide the scissor...
Avatar f tn they did a biopsy shortly after i did this post, and nothing specific came back. i've had it treated w/ medication (pills and topical) and also laser and it'll seem to look a little better for a few days but then i'm almost to square 1. it just will not seem to heal. just today they decided to do a second biopsy, because they also find it odd and worrisome. they did diagnose me with rosacea b/c in general i am very pink with capillaries close to the skin.
Avatar m tn It even states that taxidermists use them sometimes to get the hair off of animals. I can get my hair soft only briefly with olive oil or lavender lotion and lots of rubbing but then it is not more than an hour before starting from those bumps the hair gets all stiff and crunchy again. I am so scared. I already went through breast cancer and just want to be healthy. I am moving and hope things will be better but fear this infestation is on me!
