laser

Avatar n tn 3 weeks after laser surgery I still have loads of floaters in left eye, with a haze. Are these normal side effects of laser surgery ? And will they go away? It is disturbing my vision.
Avatar m tn l have been taking azarga eye drops twice a day for ten years and only noticeable side effect was some minor dry eye which l take lubricating eye drops. was wondering if l keep taking azarga for another ten or twenty years could the eye drops themselves cause any long term serious eye problems that could affect my vision ? What is the safest glaucoma eye drop with least side effects to take long term or are they all pity much all safe.
Avatar m tn I was told one of the side effects as the result of the operation was hypotony. Apparently the hypotony from the operation has resulted in folds in choroid. The doctor put a contact lense on my left eye but it has not helped to increase the pressure. The pressure in my left eye varies between 4 - 7. At this point I can not see out of the left eye... everything is blurry. I have no sense of depth, my balance is very bad, and I have double vision. Also My doctor wants to do surgery again.
Avatar m tn Without looking at your eye there is no way to tell if you needed the laser peripheral iridotomy (LRI) but if your angles were occludable they without doubt you needed it to prevent acute angle closure glaucoma which can blind an eye in just a few hours. Would suggest you get second opinion about your eye situation from a respected Eye MD ophthalmologist.
Avatar m tn One of the laser shots made me cringe backwards from the pain I felt. The catract operation on my right eye, the weaker eye, was successful, and my vision improved. However the vision in my left eye became weaker with foglike obstraction. The catarct operation on my left eye was also successful, according to the doctor, BUT he told me I needed another operation on in my left eye.
Avatar m tn In terms of the risk and side effects is it better to have YAG laser now in the early stage or is it better to wait until the PCO is more advanced or does it not matter when l have the YAG.
Avatar n tn and the left eye has been cured by laser treatment...and the right eye had some critical problems so she had an operation in her right eye in Singapore last year...even after that operation she is having problems in that eye...and there is non-stop headache ......and the eye remains dirty even after washing it thoroughly .............She is using optical glasses for her normal eye power....What do u thing what should we do now?
Avatar f tn The young doctor wants to do both eyes at the same time. No symptoms. 52 year old female 20/20 & 20/30 vision Eye exam Jan 2014 measured eye pressure to be 15 and 23. Feb 2014 it was 14 in both eyes. Plan to have a Yag-Pi in April. Seeking second opinion advice since such a dramatic drop in eye pressure is unusual. Am I'm being over-diagnosed with preventive operation? I'm getting really scared that I won't be able to do photography anymore.
Avatar f tn Thank you so much for your quick and informative response. Do you ever notice a specific timeframe when the pupil returns to normal? When pupils do not return to normal- are they generally dilated much more than the other eye? I'm sure every case is different but this is a new world for me. Thanks again.
Avatar n tn Hey, I have a question about night driving and glasses, after I had laser to seal some small tears and holes, my eye developed a little glare and halo effects around street lights and car lights... So, I found this glasses for night driving... http://www.polarizedoptics.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=221 Are they good, or should I buy some "name" glasses with quality, or is it the same, I have 20/20 vision, so no dioptre is needed.
574118 tn?1305135284 My doc wrote omnic (flomax or tamuslusin) 0.4 mg. I got all the side effects (stuffy nose, put on weight, back pain, more urge to urinate, ache in penis and bladder, etc....) I wonder would it be better to do an operation. my doc says drug is better than operation, that I should continue on the drug fearing of obstruction one day. I am not a doc , rather an engineer, I learn in my field to destruct something if something goes wrong than to keep trying fixing it.
Avatar f tn I have done a operation 2 wks ago and has laser the last time i went back to see doc on Monday. But I still see watery curve on my left eye. If I lie down straight, the watery curve will be horizontal. Can someone tell me if I am recovering or I still need to go for operation to place in oil/gas?
Avatar n tn another opthalmologist just told me that i am not suffering from exotrophia, but just an eye power problem. i was told by him that my right eye has a positive number and the right eye goes out of focus towards my ear when m not wearing glasses. he will be able to reduce it to normal by laser. i would like to know how much could be the success chance in my case and does the laser have major side effects?
Avatar m tn In my left eye i had retinal detachment operation,,,,its been almost 3 months now i am seeing flashes of lights.
Avatar m tn t experienceing any vision problems in this eye prior to the laser retinopexy procedure, as the tear was detected during my annual eye exam by an eye physician. It should be noted that this was my "good eye" prior to the procedure, as it was rated better in the vision test over the other eye. After the laser retinopexy procedure, I have experienced wavy lines at the center of my vision of the repaired eye that won't go away.
Avatar m tn before the operation, the nurse did the eye pressure check using a "pen" like device. I have done this test before, although you can feel the pen, it doesn't feel any pressure. But this time I did feel some "pressure" on the eye ball, it doesn't hurt though. After that, she gave me some dilation drops, and my eye feels hurt and burned. I have had eye dilation many times, this is the only time I feel the burn.
Avatar m tn I have an operculated hole in retina in my right eye and I need to go for a cataract operation on my right eye. Is it safe to for the operation?
