laser acne scarring removal

I just got back from the Derm today and he reviewed my skin and he said that my acne redness is scarring.. Now i thought scarring is indentions in the skin? Is it not and that acne redness will fade with time because according to my derm he said that my acne redness is scarring and that the redness wont go away and that theres nothing that can be done about it. He said that i'll have to live with it for the rest of my life and that the only possible treatment for this is laser.

HI There, I had laser hair removal treatment carried out on my legs, underarms and bikini area 4 days ago. Whilst my underarms and bikini are healing well, I have broken out in an "acne" type rash which is itchy on my legs. I have been taking a piriton at night and piriteze during the day and also using sudocrem on my skin. Is there anything else that I can do to alleviate the itch, speed up the healing and prevent any scarring?

I have a scar on my face and I had a scar removal incision done on it to reduce the appearance of the scar about 2-3 years ago. however, it is STILL red and the apperance i believe have gotten worse than it was prior to the surgery. when wil the redness go away?

I was not well informed by my dermatologist about what I can expect my scarring to be like during the course of the accutane. She just said that if we stop the acne, we stop the scarring, then several months after we can look into their array of scar treatments.

they seem pretty shallow to me...and all this time i was searching for something that helps with acne scarring (since they seem very similar to me) cause there is nothing about electrolysis scars... and...you didn't answer to my question from before - "what can I expect from any treatment ( be it laser or medical peel) diminishing or disappearing?" thank you very much for your answers! sorry again for bothering! take care!

i understand that the best tthing to do would be to come to terms with it and find someone that can accept it as well but im only 23 and i wanna be able to have fun and not be concerned with such a small imperfection i was watching videos on laser scar removal and the resaults were very good and im sure that it would clear up my situation but what i was wonder is if were even possable to treat that area of the body with laser or if there were any other options for scar removal in that area id be

Hi i hope i spelt it right lol well anyway i have sebacciouse hyperplasia on my genitals as far as i know its a condition that blocks my oild glands and causes them to swell up *kinds of like acne* i have been given cream which does not work and my dr does not seem to help much.

Hello. I have been on Accutane for the last 5 months. My acne is clearing and I have no new breakouts, however I have lots of red marks where the acne was (post inflamatory hyperpigmentation possibly?)? Anyway, I was just curious if blue light or red light treatment would help, and can I use the light treatment while on Accutane? If not, what else could I do to reduce the appearance of the red marks? The acne is on my chest and is very hard to look at.

Okay I know this topic isn't acne, but I couldn't find any other place to go too, and I'm wondering if I'm going to get a permanent scarring from my Cold Sore. I've had Cold Sore for a very young age, and before it wouldn't scar even when I first got it I was doing everything wrong. (rubbing it, itching it till it bleed, peeling it off when it was like exploding) and even through that it didn't scar it just went away without a mark.

A couple of months ago I woke up to fing a pock mark on my cheek. I never had acne or any infection in that spot. Recently, on the other cheek I have noticed to tiny holes (like big pores). I have really oily skin, lots of white and blackheads and acne scarring (dark spots) resulted from these pimples. I was then prescribed Differin and Finacea..no results Abt two months ago, I was prescribed Solodyn, I use neutrogena creamy wash, Retin-A and some hydroquinone for the dark spots. The solodyn make me break out in a HEAP of HIVES !!
