Avatar n tn I HAVE HAD A BAD COUGH FOR MORE THEN 2 MONTHS NOW AND IT MAKES ME HAVE BAD CHEST PAINS AND I ALSO COUGH UP BLOOD AT TIMES WHAT COULD IT BE?
1100598 tn?1413127426 Ever since then, I have had chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting spells, weakness, back pain, a worseneing cough, low grade fever, chills, rash on my belly or chest, and nausea. The swollen lymph nodes have also returned. My doctor says I have bronchitis/walking pneumonia and put me on doxycycline on tuesday, but I am not feeling any better. I only have one day of antibiotics left.
Avatar f tn Well, my husband had the same symptoms as well, but when he woke up today, it was harder for him to breathe so he went to the hospital and found out he had walking pneumonia but was given nothing to treat it because they said he has to get over it himself. Now I'm worried that it might also be what I have, but they found out by X-ray, and I know I shouldn't get an X-ray while 20 weeks preganant. And even if that was it, would they even treat me for it?
Avatar f tn One ounce of Magnesium Chloride flakes (Pharmaceutical grade) per one liter of spring water, sipped very slowly throughout the entire day. Repeat for 3-4 days. Your symptoms indicate a viral or bacterial infection and are consistent with bronchiestasis. If it is viral, no medicine can help, once the virus has replicated. If bacterial, amoxicillin is the antibiotic of choice for bronchiectasis. You may want to consider Breathing Exercises for Bronchiectasis.
Avatar f tn s as a kick start. Had the same thing and did Zpac and a shot to get it in my system. You need to watch out cuz green phlegm isn't a good sign. It's bacterial, watch for bronchitis, pneumonia.
Avatar m tn some kind of lung infection, bronchitis, just to warn , There were 2 times when I had severe pneumonia, and my temp. was low , which just meant my body was not fighting the infection at all. So even if your temp is low, you must go, it will only get worse if its pneumonia, will not go away on its own. I hope you feel better, get to the docs!!
1609219 tn?1298104935 Sinus infections that last for 4-6 weeks that take multiple rounds of antibiotics to cure, and walking pneumonia 3x within less than a year. I just saw an Immunologist last week... waiting on blood work results now.
627818 tn?1271777026 Liquid diet, pain meds and rest and he will be fine. I am on another Z-pack - went from a viral laryngitis to a cough so doc thought better safe than sorry as I was getting up "crud". Just had pneumonia and I don't want to go there again! I will try to check in more often!

Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia two weeks ago. I was given Z Pack. I took it. It seemed to work for a couple of days then the symptoms returned. Doctor gave me another Z Pack. Same thing. It worked for a couple of days and then the mychoplasma returned. Question 1: Why did Z pack not get rid of it? Question 2: I'm on Doxycycline now. Will that get rid of it? I'm terrified to even get out of bed for fear that I will relapse again. I want my life back. Please help.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm a 36 yo female and prior to catching walking pnemonia 4-5 weeks ago I was very fit and active (gym 6 days a week and ran about 40km a week). I didn't realise I was that sick as I was still exercising during part of it (struggling though and quiet dumb in hindsight) and going to work (during the time crackling in lung was identified but I did not get diagnosed till a week later after doc said to come back for check up. As the crackling got worse I took an xray).
Avatar f tn t a category for walking pneumonia or upper respiratory infection , so here it goes anyway. Ok, so Last week on februrary the 2nd I got a sore throat, the next day I had a runny nose and felt like **** for a few days after that and then I developed a cough, I went to the doctor and he said I had upper respiratory infection (bronchitis).. so he gave me a z pac which lasted 5 days, and after day 3 I started feeling better and after the last pill, I felt fine. No cough, no sore throat, nothing.
Avatar f tn I have had walking pneumonia for 3 weeks. I took two Z packs and I'm 5 days into my Doxycycline and I still feel bad. I have no energy and my throat still hurts. I can't take Avelox or anything in that family because I am allergic to them. How long does it normally take to start feeling better on Doxy? Maybe I just haven't been taking it long enough? When do you think I'll start to feel normal again?
Avatar f tn I had the Flu in January, followed by cold and laryngitis. Lost my voice, got it back, but with this persisitant dry sudden cough, that can come anytime. I wake up with it, usually a coughing fit lasts from anywhere from 1-10 mins. After the coughing is over, i have to constantly clear my throat, until all the choaking sensation is gone. Its almost like swallowing into the wrong side of your throat.
Avatar f tn Hi and sorry you are ill. I have had this too. Usually, it is more common to get "walking pneumonia" or bronchitis after having a viral infection like the flu. I don't think you are reinfecting yourself. Did you have a virus recently? Also, usually walking pneumo is caused by a bacteria , mycoplama or chlamydia pneumonia. Did you get any antibiotics for it the first time? If not perhaps the bacteria was lingering and when you got overtired or ill you got it back.
Avatar f tn Okay, since 1992 I have had lots of throat infections in 1995 I had my tonsils and adanoids removed to help however it never did. And still had aleast 7 throat infections and laryngitis a year but since January this year I have had 20suvere throat infections all with laryngitis.
Avatar f tn I keep losing my voice and I have seen an ENT (vocal chords red and swollen) and asthma doctor. Concluded that I have asthma but very mild put on Symbicort. This has happened about 9 times since last July. Last anywhere from 3-4 weeks. This time I have been fighting it for 4 weeks.
