Now pain located vicinity of lateral collateral ligament and behind knee. Sharp pain behind knee upon straightening/standing. Also pain behind knee hen bending (I.e. Getting in an out of car, drivers side). Flexing foot to put shoe on cause sharpe pain around lateral collateral ligament. Knee slightly swollen an somewhat warm. Any ideas.
For the last two hours I am not able to bend my knee and trying to move it is very painful. I feel a sharp pain on the right outside of my left knee. Is there anything I can do to make it unlock? If not what will be the best option. My knee has been hurting and swollen for three days now but I haven't had it lock on me before. I was able to walk around before now.
t understand why my knee is giving out on the outside and hurting behnd my knee on the outside if the tear is on the outter rim of the inside of my knee. Is this common? Also right above my knee cap really hurts, like something is tugging at it. I haven't been able to walk and am extremely frustrated that this Dr. is not taking an aggressive approach on me knee since it has been almost 3 months since the injury now, and nothing has changed- if anything it is getting worse.
other than draining the fluid wth needle, what can I do to afford fluid from building on knee after I run

I had a sebaceous cyst on the back, outside part of my calf about six inches lower than my knee. It has been there for five or six years anyway, maybe longer. It never has hurt and other than being ugly, it was not a problem.
Recently I was push starting a motorcycle and as I hopped on the bike (wearing shorts) I bumped that cyst up against the side of the engine, which was very hot at the time.
The pain is 10/10 and I can only unlocking it by hanging my knee over my other leg while lying on my stomach relieving pressure on the outside of the knee. This all started beginning when I injured my knee sliding on wet grass my cleat got stuck and twisted my ankle. At first the locking would occur multiple times a week and was extreme. Mri’s including a contrast were clean. I no longer deal with the problem except for the fact I cannot preform the exact slide that injured it.
I know this is not normal knee pain when i look down at both knees i can tell this knee is more swollen then right knee, On the right knee i can see indents and things like a normal knee should look on the left it looks round with definition in some areas. i can bend it i can go down to pick stuff up and come up fine. It just always feels uncomfortable. below is a list of the feelings

I had a knee scope 2 months ago. The doctor repaired the menicus on the outside and inside of my knee.
He also scraped the arthritis off the knee cap.
I have been going to rehab, and last week the doctore gave me a cortisone shot in my knee.
But, what I am so frustrated with is I have a sharp, piercing pain under my knee cap, and a bit
to the inside of the knee cap. This pain stops me in my tracks. The doctor is not helpful.

If my puppy lays against the outside of my thigh,its excruciating pain all the way down. Even behind the knee is swollen and warm to the touch. The pain is also down my shin bone. Is there a possibility of a blood clot this long after surgery? Even my calf hurts. I don't get Any Sleep and even my toes hurt to move them. What should I do? My surgeon is out of state and quite a drive. I thought about going to the E.R. but I'm sure they wouldn't do anything.
Today I CANNOT put weight on it and it is swollen. The pain originates on the inside of my knee, not in the soft spot next to the patella, but outside that. At this pt. the pain has spread all over my knee, but to touch it is super tender in that inside spot. I have iced it and put heat on it. Not sure what to do at this pt. My foot on the side of the injured knee feels asleep.
Can someone give me advice. Should I see a doctor? Or can this be dealt with at home?
My knees bruised slightly but the back my legs behind my knee is causing me to have pain; it feels like the vein is sore and the left is slightly swollen. I iced it before my last TRX class and it felt so much better but I wonder if I should continue with my exercise? Is there something that I can do to make it better?
Hello everyone. I way diagnosed with patellar sublaxation which is a fancy way of saying my kneecap dislocates. It comes out very often and I can easily put it back in place. Today is a bigger problem, its dislocated about a centimeter out of place. No matter what I do, when I put it back it immedly slips right out again. I'm not swollen today, I don't understand why I can't put it back this time.
The knee xray showed no fracture or other issue - the reason for another doctor ordering xrays was that I am unable to put any direct weight on the knee (kneel on it) and it graunches and carries on when moving it, though this causes no pain. I have no pain on movement, the bruise that was present for six weeks has gone and it is no longer swollen but still this problem remains.
Any suggestions as to what it may be?
Aside from the burning warmth internally no but the skin outside surrounding the inside area around my right knee is numb. This is all so scary to me...just a month ago I miscarried and that same day the dermoid was found I then had to have a dnc and the laporatamy a few weeks later..I feel so lost.
When fluid is outside of the actual joint space, and in the soft tissues surrounding the knee, the most common cause is prepatellar bursitis. This condition causes fluid accumulation in the bursa just on top of the kneecap. Usually the fluid can be felt on top of the kneecap, rather than underneath the kneecap.
Physical examination by doctor is necessary, to determine what fluid it is and depending upon that whether to remove the fluid or use antibiotics can be decided.

I had this procedure done and I am using the cpm and walking as required I am already at 70 degrees on day three but the knee is swollen and I was able to lift my leg on my on for the first few days but now my thigh is swollen and I can’t lift it at all without help. My knee was very damaged and I had many surgeries prior to total knee replacement had Donated bone placed in the knee many years before this procedure.
Recently, 5 days ago I think, I fell on this knee pretty badly and as you can imagine this brought a world of pain. When I got home, I rubbed some Hotemin cream on the knee, I put a wrap on it and I took an Acteric tablet to help with the pain of walking (or limping, in my case).
The wrap was one of those you just pull over the knee, not an actual length of cloth wrapped around the knee and at first I thought it was just the right fit, being a little tight.
By dec the knee was still swollen and i was unable to completely bend or straighten the knee,still tender on the inside so much so i slept with a pillow between my knees and still unable to turn over in bed, so i went to my GP who reffered me straight away to a o/s. The o/s ordered an MRI saying if anything showed up he would operate ASAPif not he would send me for some phyisio.
t painful, however, and there was also no heat (usually associated with swelling). My knee continued to be swollen over the next few months, off and on. I hit my knee really hard one night and then the swelling increased a lot for about 2 months. I also was having IT Band problems (very tight it band) which caused sharp pain when I ran. After going to physio and learning stretches the pain caused by a tight IT band went away but I continued to have a slightly swollen knee.
