I am scheduled to have orthoscopic knee surgery on my right knee to correct problems I am having related to osteoarthritis. Does this type of surgery prevent osteoarthritis from returning? Is this surgery safe? What is recovery like after surgery? Any information anyone has regarding this topic will be greatly appreciated.

On my placebo pill week I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend like I usually do after my period finishes. So, in my opinion, you must discuss the risks and then first go ahead with aneurysm surgery and then with the knee surgery. Depending on the location, risk of hemorrhage, risk of rupture, family history, etc, your surgeon will estimate the risk. Also ask your ortho specialist whether there are other options for you except knee replacement surgery. Then if your neuro-surgeon feels you can wait for a year or more and have MRI in between to monitor progress, then you can wait this time.

hi everyone its bee a while sense i posted anything, i just had knee surgery last thursday on june 30th and it was the worst pain in my life :(, but im healing and im hoping this will be my last surgery on my knees. the only problem is that from limping my hip has been getting worst and its hard to walk around because the pain shoots up my spine :(. so hopfully after my knee heals my hip will be next.

I have a full exam scheduled for next week. My question is are these infections due to my knee surgery, can they effect my recovery of my knee surgery or are they just different problems although? I know they said infections can be very dangerous.

About 3 weeks ago I had knee surgery. The Doc did 3 seperate things to my knee. He cleaned out more arthritis, repaired my minicus, and a lateral release. Since the surgery I have developed a hugh lump on the outside part of my knee and my whole leg swelled. My doc said that the only thing that will help all the swelling would be a compression stocking. The stocking helped from my knee down but did nothing from my knee up. The lump is still as big as ever.

SINCE HAVING KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY IN MARCH 2009 I HAVE HAD SEVERE HEEL PAIN. NO ONE HAS FOUND THE CURE. THIS INCLUDES THE KNEE SURGEON, A PAIN DOCTOR, A FOOT DOCTOR AND A NEUROSURGEON.

The anatomy of knee or knee joint configuration would have changed after the knee fusion surgery to do any sort of surgery after that. Yes I think an orthopedic surgeon experienced in knee replacement after knee fusion could possibly with difficulty could have done it. Keep me informed if you have any queries. Bye.

At what point does an orthopedic surgeon come to a conclusion that a partial knee replacement is the only option? I had surgery for a torn meniscus on my left knee over a year and a half ago. Since then, the knee feels worse and is progressively getting worse. I have been on steroids, had injections, take a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, went through PT...and even continue to exercise the knee now.

I could walk fine before the surgery. Now I have a limp and am in constant pain, not only the knee, but my other knee, back and hip from compensation. DO NOT GET THIS SURGERY!!

the more i do my exercises the more stiff it gets... I was wondering if this was normal after artho knee surgery? My knee gives out more now than before the surgery and now my knee wants to lock if i don't step just right.

my knee feels very weak and stiff like it did before surgery. i have some swelling and sharp pains when i pivot on my knee. anyways, is there another surgery i could have to fix this problem or am i going to have to live with it?
