Avatar f tn I will be doing a lot of traveling this summer, lots of airports; does an orthopaedic boot support both knee and ankle? I use Voltaren gel and take Tramadol twice a day.
Avatar m tn Hi, first time outbreaks would be at point of contact like you penis shaft or pubic mound area not your leg below the knee. Unless your knee made rubbing contact with her vagina or mouth.
Avatar n tn Hi all, I am not sure why I am writing down all this. I guess I am looking for some support. It's been almost 5 months now since my high risk exposure. The anxiety gets worse and worse, so I finally decided to go back to my home country to do the final test. I've been tested negative after one week and 39 days. It didn't really give me much relieve. rather the opposite: I got so anxious that I couldn't go to a further test.
Avatar f tn Gday is there anyone in Australia on these forums having trouble with tramadol...I am in Queensland..
Avatar f tn This morning (the day before valentines day here in australia) my partner suggested we go for a walk to a local lookout that overlooks the entire town we live in. We reached the top and took in the sights before my partner told me he loved me, and got onto one knee. Love comes at any age and I know there is a lot of negativity about young people having children and getting married, but honestly, you are as mature and ready for these things as you let yourself be.
Avatar f tn if you use it for three weeks after a painful knee reconstruction you are unlikely to relate trmadol to happy thoughts and addiction is uncommon.
Avatar m tn Because of the atrophy in my leg, I will have to wear a brace for the rest of my life and this brace seems to be the one that gives me the most support. I hope your knee is better and you do not have to wear a brace indefinitely but if you do, I recommend the Donjoy Defiance III. It is a custom fitted brace. Your doctor should be able to help. Best wishes to you and stay positive. You'll be fine...
Avatar f tn On monday I smacked my knee extremely hard into the mule post at the bottom of the stairs the pain was extremely bad, i've been limping ever since the knee looks deformed there was a massive purple bruise which has now gone down. There is still swelling on the knee cap and the leg feels numb yet painful and tingly to the toes. It's my right leg so it's my main leg and I don't know what to do. I can move my leg but its really painful.
Avatar f tn I had a knee arthroscopy July '12. It didn't help and I developed an egg sized Baker's cyst on the inside of my r/knee. I continued with anti-inflammatories and swam regularly and the cyst has all but disappeared. A degree of pain persists and varies with activity. I am itching to travel this year but am concerned that travelling will aggravate the knee and I'll get stuck in a foreign land unable to walk.
Avatar f tn Do you think Australia will eventually use rapid hiv tests to combat the hiv rates in Australia. I know Australia has great resources but read that they have not implemented point of care rapid tests.
Avatar f tn http://www.nami.org/ And independent living centers as well (for all disabilities, though some have support groups specific to various disabilities, including mental health): http://www.ilru.org/html/publications/directory/index.html and this is worth reading and has some support and interaction sections: http://www.nycvoices.org/ I'll see if I can find any more but I consider all of those to be responsible. People can and should feel free to add. Thanks. Good idea for a thread.
Avatar f tn See your chiropractor, seriously, I have a knee that does that, he works on it and it is fine. In the mean time, try wearing a knee brace to give it support.

Avatar f tn Why is there so much debate as to whether or not there is Lyme in Australia? Is it because when someone says "Lyme" they only associate it one particular strain? I know I have potentially thrown the cat in amongst the pigeons but I think it is a valid topic for those in Australia suffering with Lyme Disease.
Avatar m tn Hi my name is Lee i am 26, from Australia. I came on here because i had a car accident about 6 years ago and my knee has had a fairly large hole put in the cartilage, I just read the scans then it says a 3cm lesion in craniocaudal dimensions. I have the MRIs at my reach if need be. Since then accident i have used it as much as i could, mainly because i had alot of problems at the time, took alot of drugs and in reality couldn't settle to realise the full impact that my knee had done.
Avatar n tn Bioceutical's Thyroplex contains a list of nutrients to help support thyroid function and some might find they improve because they were low or deficient in various vitamins and minerals essential for thyroid hormone production. It would be worth trying a low dose of T4 to start with to see how you go. Just to warn you that hypothyroid symptoms could get worse before they get better. Give it about 6 weeks and see how you feel. List of thyroid hormone products in Australia...
Avatar f tn I am a 30 year old female with severe arthiritis in my right knee. I have been dealing with this situation for over 10 years now. At this point, I have about 40 degrees of movement in my knee and no cartilage left. Was temporarily diagnosed with Pigmented Villanodular Synovitits, though this was not validated with Pathology reports from my first two surgeries, so we are working with Arthiritis as my diagnosis.
20909564 tn?1624320701 What Strength and Length of support hose are prescribed after Varithena? Why does Venaseal not also require it? Note that even the lightest-support knee high's cause me rebound pain upon removal of the hose, and if it goes over the knee (and above), my circulation is permanently affected.
Avatar f tn Hi ladies, I'm 8 weeks today! Suffering from bad anxiety. I'm Australian but will be having my baby in the UK away from all my family & friends. I'm literally a world away from my support network. Is anyone else in the same or similar situation?
