Pain always there just worst when bend it. Pain has woke me up at night if sleep with knee bent. Xray snd MRI normal so orthopedic said PT and if pain continues come back in a month. PT has me in tears. Should I get second opinion could MRI been read wrong. Help me i feel crazy and feel that the pain is in my head.
Avatar f tn I have had pain in my right knee under the knee cap.its gradually getting worse and kneeling or going up and downstairs(particularly going upstairs ) causes quite severe pain .it has given way at times as well.I've seen my doc who is sending me for physio and to see a specialist where she said he will probably have to perform a knee wash .does anyone know what might case this pain is and what a knee wash is?
Avatar f tn 3 weeks ago i noticed that my left knee started clicking when i go upstairs or when i stand up from a seated position. It is painless with no history of injure or discomfort in the knee, i thought it will disappear by its own in few days but it is still there 3 weeks later, it does not sound like the normal popping that most joints does, it is a loud sound that i did not hear before, any suggestions? I am hoping that it will go away by itself. I am 29 years old female and am 7 weeks postpartum.
Avatar f tn It will require more advanced imaging than an x-ray to diagnosis your knee pain. An MRI will provide a better detailed picture of the structure of your knee. I encourage you to request one. In my opinion you may also benefit from an Orthopedic Consult. Be assertive. I hope you'll let us know how you are doing. We'll look forward to hearing from you soon.
Avatar f tn There is bats in the upstairs of my boyfriends house, theyve owned this house for 20 years and dont think its a problem since they used to sleep upstairs, it needs to be rennovated before they can be turned into rooms again but they want to have a room upstairs for my son when hes born, im not sure when they plan on that and iv been staying here half the time because my bf would rather be here than my apartment, they have picked up the poop thats up there but your not suppose to do it yourself y
8464451 tn?1409883976 I used to live in a upstairs apartment but my landlord let me move downstairs because I was carrying my two year old up and down every day and I have to have a C-section due to a previous one. It starts to hurt but I think it might help the baby drop and get into position.
Avatar m tn My MRI result showed degenerative Medial Meniscus and stretched ACL - and I am wondering what the way forward options are - my specialist has advised arthroscopy for the medial meniscus but my ligament doesn't feel too stretched!
7607740 tn?1396730863 I'm 33 weeks and having a problem with our neighbors upstairs. We just moved into this apartment less than a month ago to upgrade sizes for my son. Every single night since then, our upstairs neighbors have kept us up. At first we could just hear walking and I was okay with that. Now it sounds like stomping from 12am-6am. No, they aren't having sex. Trust me.. we can hear that too. If it isn't the stomping, sex, or loud fighting at 2am.. it's the random noise they make.
Avatar f tn for about 2wks now my right knee has been giving me problems in 33 years old and im on high blood pressure meds and the reason unknown why i have it and my ?
Avatar f tn Wrap the knee with ace bandage or black knee support until u can get to the doc. does your knee crack? Take ibuprofen as directed for swelling. Hope you can get to the ER or doc soon.
Avatar f tn leg weakness (causes my walking to be more of a waddle) - numbness - calluses - knee problems (due to the weakness which would cause more pressure to the knees.) That's my theory but from the neuro's mind I don't have no problem even though he was the one that noticed the weakness.:( Sorry for the vent. Just had to get it out!!
Avatar n tn I got my knee problem initially while running as well. It doesn't mean it happened because of what you did that day, it might have been building up for awhile. I don't know why you haven't seen an orthopedist to get an MRI and see if there's a meniscus problem, which it sounds like it might be, or to see if it's just tendinitis. Hopefully, it will just require physical therapy to rehab, but I don't think at this point it's just going to go away. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Right knee tries to buckle going downstairs and it is hard to straighten the knee when going upstairs. Could this be nerve damage? I am 76 years old and have had peripheral neuropathy in both legs and feet for eight years and had a mild stroke that damaged my right side two years ago. I have no trouble walking on level ground and have resumed playing golf.
Avatar f tn About 3 weeks or so ago I got up outta my chair to go upstairs and thought i was just sitting wrong because it hurt a little going up the stairs, but coming down the stairs it felt like the inside of my knee was just on fire and immediately swollen. i ended up dropping everything and almost falling down the stairs, being a mother with very limited transportation i just loaded up on tylenol and rode it out hoping i just pulled something...
Avatar f tn But there is defintely no pain. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn I have had a really painful right knee under the knee cap,its gradually becoming worse when I kneel down or go up and downstairs(particular going upstairs) I have to hold the rail going up as the pain is really bad.my knee does give way at times and if I turn awkwardly I get a severe shooting pain in my knee.I have seen my doc who is sending me to a specialist and arranged physio.what is a knee wash and what does it entail ,she also thinks my menisca is damaged.what treatment can I expect?
1830047 tn?1321667793 Hi all! I have been absent for awhile bc I don't seem to find a lot of answers and I haven't needed much moral support. However, here I am again with pretty much the same question... does anyone else have memory issues/gaps? Most recently I am having numerous tiny gaps where I can't remember anything seen or heard (etc) for no more than a few seconds. I have had gaps here and there for at least three years now but most were missed without someone else pointing them out.
Avatar m tn It's possible that it caused the problems in your left knee, but it's also possible that the cartilage tore for other reasons, like overuse or aging. Did you do physical therapy after you have your surgery? Why have you needed to favor your right knee all this time?
Avatar m tn The pain occurs directly behind her left knee, and sometimes on the front left side of the knee. I can easily feel a pop in the front left side of the knee when her leg is extended. When she went to physical therapy, the physical therapist pressed on her knee several times in different locations and also extended and contracted her leg to see if there was any pain, but she felt no pain. Her physical therapist said that her mechanics are off.
Avatar f tn When I was a freshman in highschool I had seen a Doctor about my knee problem, and was tolded that my knee caps were making new knee jionts by themselves. They had done surgery on my right knee. I was wondering what the medical name was for this type of knee problem.
Avatar n tn My bone that is on the side of my right knee is bigger than the other side. After walking for a halh hour my knee starts hurting and my leg from the knee down gets numb. I even get pain sometime even lying down. I have a bad back but I don't believe it is from that because the pain does not radiate from my back down to my foot like before. I have a herniated disc at my L5 S1 disc and I have some Arthritis on the L4 disc.
382218 tn?1341181487 Not sure if anyone's mentioned this here already, but in case not, I wanted to share this great resource. It's called AXS Map, and was created by Jason DaSilva, the filmmaker who premiered his film about life with MS, called When I Walk, at Sundance this year. Anyway the gist of it is that anyone can go to the website www.axsmap.com (or look up the mobile app) and enter reviews about the accessibility of various restaurants, govt buildings, medical facilities, shopping malls, etc.
