902868 tn?1242156798 Hi; I have a lot of problems with my right butt cheek. When my lower back is on fire, my butt cheek will be as well. I don't take any chances riding a street bicycle I have a knee replacement and the very thought of falling on that knee kinda makes me ill. I do have an incumbent bike and I still have problems with my butt cheek getting really tender after riding it. I try to ride it very slow everyday, I get a little exercise that way. Take care.
Avatar n tn It seems to run along the edge of the knee cap. At first the pain was only when I walked up and down stairs and had to put all my weight on one knee but now I can hardly extend my knee without getting sharp pains on the inside of the knee. Also, not sure if this is relevant, but there is a painless bruise on the middle of my knee right below my knee cap and I have no idea where it came from. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn Hi all, 6 months ago I broke my tibia and fibula in a motorbike crash. They were comminute fractures at the top, just below the knee. The tibia was fixed with a large plate but the fibula was left to mend itself. I also had several small fractures in my foot. I used crutches for 5 months and then a walking stick for the last 4 weeks, now for the last 2 days I've been walking on my own but with quite a limp due to weakness.
Avatar f tn It sounds like sciatica. Did you have any kind of injury? Ever get pain from riding a bicycle? I think mine is from periformis syndrome, but that's always a guess because it's virtually impossible to correctly diagnose -- it's more a process of elimination. Whatever caused it, go on YouTube and look for exercises to stretch the periformis. Even if you don't have that problem the exercises should help loosen it up. Hot baths in Epsom Salts helped me.

Avatar m tn In cases of hernia, a prominent bulge along with testicular pain is there and in cases of kidney or ureteric stones, pain during micturition may also be there. In your case, it can be due to excessive bicycle riding or kidney or ureteric stones. Lab investigations like complete blood examination, urine examination, ultrasound lower abdomen and sometimes a urethral swab will help in diagnosis. Treatment will be started thereafter. My advise would be to consult a urologist.
Avatar m tn Its been hurting a few months now, even when im not lifting anything, just walking sitting or riding my bicycle. i normally try to limit my movement to less than say 500 feet in a day and limit my cycling activities what do you think is the cause and whats the cure?
Avatar n tn So was my daughter when she was hit by an automobile making a right turn, so was I when I did a face plant. You can never be too careful on a bicycle and its why I now do my bicycle riding on an exercise bicycle. Stay safe Paul.
Avatar m tn Hello, Testicular pain can be due to injury, infection (Epididymitis or Orchitis) or inflammation, testicular torsion( most common in young men), excessive bicycle riding, hernia, varicocele or kidney or ureteric stones.Lab investigations like complete blood examination, urine examination, ultrasound lower abdomen and sometimes a urethral swab will help in diagnosis. The symptom of painful nocturnal discharge points towards the possibilities of prostatitis.

Avatar m tn Testicular pain can be due to injury, infection (Epididymitis or Orchitis) or inflammation, testicular torsion -- most common in young men between 10 and 20 years old, excessive bicycle riding, hernia or kidney or ureteric stones. As there is no swelling or inflammation or redness of the scrotal sacs, so the chances of epidiymitis or orchitis are rare. pain due to torsion comes suddenly and is severe and acute in nature. Moreover it is often accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
Avatar m tn Hello, In young males, trauma during masturbation or intercourse, testicular torsion, excessive bicycle riding, hernia or kidney or ureteric stones are the commonest causes of testicular pain. Other than that, infection (Epididymitis or Orchitis) or inflammation also needs to be ruled out.
Avatar m tn Your symptoms sound like the ones I had a few years ago - at which time I swore I had some type of UTI. I thought UTI because not only was the pain in my groin, but the pain would travel to the head of my penis when stabbing and throbbing, and even when I would urinate. This went on for several months - dr would give antibiotics, it would get better, come back, more antibiotics, get better, come back.... Finally, I thought I was having an apendicitis attack and went to the emergency room.

Avatar m tn Hi, I had hemorrhoids for many years. It all started when I was 23. I'm young, eat healthy and I'm active, still the hemorrhoids didn't care. I've had a great proctologist for the last 5 years and he told me that being active is great but that I shouldn't exaggerate with the bicycle because riding the bike puts pressure on the afflicted area. If you have a doctor you should ask about it.
Avatar m tn I recently was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My PSA was 4.8 and a gleason of 3+3. I also do a lot of bicycle riding. I've already had an elevated PSA when I was tested 12 hours after a 35 mile bike ride. My question is, how long should I wait from my last bike ride before taking another PSA test.?
