m also thinking the guiding principal is to slam a correlating body part, so to fix your foot, you might need to slam your knee in the door instead. ROFL Cheers..........

s a general practioner in India. when and if you get a podiatrist to treat any ankle or foot related problems, do as much research about that doctor as you can don't just go for the one closest to the house.

I hurt my foot about 4 months ago. The pain originated on the top of my foot near the 3rd and 4 th metatarsals. I felt a piercing pain with each step, so I wrapped it and stayed off of it. Now it is healed (well at least no more pain) but the back right side of my knee is in a lot of pain...It hurts when a run or walk and RICEing it doesnt seem to help. Please help!!!!

When I fold my left feet, I feel a bump on the inner side of the knee. When the foot is stretched I cant see the bump. I did not find it earlier. It must have developed in last few months. It surely was not there. Or at least it did not pained earlier. Even now it does not pain much. Occasionally and very slightly. But it pains (again not too much) when I fold my knee fully. So I avoid folding my left feet fully.

My daughter is a college soccer player and is having knee pain on the inside of her knee/near the medial meniscus. It hurts (dull pain) when she straightens it and puts weight on it. It gets sharp when she goes into tackles and her foot gets turned out. Anyone know what could be causing it?

thanks, I figured that was what was causing the pain, but wasn't sure. I am still on anti-inflammatory drugs from when I first hurt my knee. I have an appointment Wednesday for it, so I suppose I can have him look at my foot as well. Back to the crutches I guess.

A week ago I went to my doctor because I was having pain in my left foot,.lateral foot pain. It's been going on for about 6 weeks. It would dull ache most of the time with sudden bouts of extreme pain in which it felt like a knife was digging in my foot. He did an xray and said it wasn't broken and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. A week later and now I can't bend my left knee back and it's hurting to put pain on my knee.

It feels like cramping or a deep soreness. When you raise your toes or pull your foot towards the front of your leg your pain should intensify. These are usual SX. DVT can occur without SX - or with only some of the SX. The pain of DVT is not usually based in your knee. However - and again you should consult your medical provider. I am one year post Unicompartmental bilateral knee replacements and the lateral pain/pressure continues. When I bend the knee beyond 90 degrees I have a sharp pain on the lateral side of the knee cap. I have tried to be positive, but I don't see things getting better. Last year all I did was swing my legs out of bed and stand up when extreme pain shot through my knee. For the next 2 weeks I was limping and the pain was pretty severe. Ever since then, I have had a bad, achy pain in the right side of my knee on the joint line, especially when standing and I pick my foot up. My doc found mine when he held the bottom of my foot and flexed it up quickly at the ankle. The ankle started tapping my toes down against his hand over and over. My doc says my drop foot is caused by my spasticity, because I can somewhat flex my foot at the ankle when I'm sitting, just not when walking.
