Avatar f tn About a month later my wrists started to feel better, but I started getting the same pain in my ankles, and my left knee. It really hurts alot when I walk or have to lift my knee. My knee almost feels swollen. I have never heard of a joint pain that moves around I am so lost. I am tired of taking Ibprofin and sleeping on a heating pad! I went to my primary DR. He took blood, x-rays and urine, but they all came back normal.
Avatar n tn About a week ago, my knee started feeling sharp pain only when pressure is applied. I don't remember what exactly my position was (maybe I kneeled, maybe my leg touched the under side of a table). But anyway, whatever it was that touched my knee felt like a tiny sharp needle instead! There is no swelling or any visible sign. I tried to find out what it was but there was nothing there. I rubbed my knee, sort of poked at it to try and pinpoint where the pain came from.
Avatar m tn Often the person feels a popping sensation on moving the joint. Pain worsens on walking. It can also be tendinitis due to inflammation of tendon at the knee joint. You will need X-rays and MRIs of the knee to find the exact. Treatment will follow correct diagnosis. Do consult your orthopedic specialist at the earliest. Meanwhile do not bear weight on that leg, give it rest, apply ice pack, and take an anti-inflammatory pain killer. Take care!
Avatar f tn ll look around and see what I can find. Hopefully it will help. When you experienced this did you have this problem when sleeping in bed? I've never experienced this in bed, only when sitting on the couch.
1961313 tn?1326290364 I have problems with my knees, just general stiffness-but one day I had to get down on my right knee and the pain was extreme,it wasn't necessarily in the knee but to the right side of the knee,it felt like the skin was splitting into,I look and the skin looked fine,so I don't know if it's the tendon or the muscle what ever it is,is very painful,in fact I can't get down on my knees any longer
Avatar n tn I am a 200 lbs 24-year-old male 6'1" non-smoking. I try and workout daily and I played a lot of outdoor basketball between the ages of 18-24. About three months ago I had knee pain (not sure exactly what caused it) and it hurt to walk up and down stairs let alone jumping. I've stayed off my legs for the most part and my knee feels better, but it cracks and crackles now when I squat. I cannot see a doctor for another month and was wondering if I should be concerned.
Avatar f tn I was dating this guy for a few months, and when we finally decided to have sex, he wasn't able to get it up. Now I know that this is an embarrasing situation for the male, but what exactly could have gone wrong? He recently hurt his knee pretty badly during while playing a football, and he blamed it on the pain in his knee. But i was talking with my girlfriend, and she says it's because he was nervous. Now I don't know if I believe that, because he's been with many girls...
Avatar f tn I was told that I have patella feminel pain, I am use to having trouble kneeling and walking after a shift at work and and my knee being weak and the knee cap moving around, but lately even when I am not doing anything it feels as though something is push up on my knee cap, and extremely painful and I cant get the pain to go away. At time it feels as though something is being wedged under my knee cap.
Avatar f tn My leg around the knee area hurts a lot when I got up this morning my knee was pretty stiff and I have pain going down my leg all the way to my ankle should I get this checked out? Could I have fractured something or could it be just banged up? Is it even possible to fracture anything in that area? Can some one advice me please.
Avatar m tn I was putting in padded flooring in my home gym for about 4 hours. Since then I've had pain in my right knee only when kneeling on my right knee (like when tying shoes). It's to the side of the knee and feels like something is being stretched laterally at first, before I get a sharp pain that feels like it's stinging/tingly. It is not completely on the side of my knee, but in the softer area to the side of my knee cap.
477608 tn?1238527958 I was at my last job about a month ago moving furniture and twisted my knee. No immediate pain but, boy...it crept up later. Now I am in near constant pain (inside of my left knee) that gets worse if I squat down, go up stairs, put weight on it when I bend it. At times there is a 'catch', other times a 'grind'. My knees have both 'popped' when I squat for years...like 30+ years.
Avatar m tn On Behalf of a friend Barman with mystery pain in right knee mainly focused on the underneath the cap, no pain most of the time but after long shifts on feet, getting a stabbing and aching pain. Doesn't happen after sport when knee is most active. It tends to be when stood up and not moving. Any Ideas?
Avatar m tn for the last four years I have been experiencing sharp pain on the outside of my right knee starting usually after running about 3 miles. no pain when I am not running. It comes on gradually but I eventually need to stop running. The pain is located in the vicinity of the lateral meniscus and is most intense when my foot is off the ground and my leg moving forward. I have had no major injury to this knee. What is going on? is there anything I can do?
Avatar m tn A piece of torn cartilage may get caught between moving parts of the knee joint and causes the sound. A clicking sound may be heard when moving the knee. The pain may be worse when squatting. I hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Hello, thanks for responding the pain has not gone away and it has been almost three weeks, the area of the pain feels to be a little under my knee cap in front and slightly moving to the left side of the knee cap area. When I bend it and try to put weight the pain is a instant sharp shooting pain and it looks a tiny bit puffy on the left side of the knee cap but I put ice and it don't go down. Had xrays done and I was told by ER dont look bad, should I not listen and get a MRI?
Avatar m tn When I started reading your message I imagined that you were a fat old lady. What a shock when I got to the bottom to find that you are only 15 years of age. The crunching and popping that you hear is called crepitus. I agree with the others that you do need to go and see your doctor, possibly he may send your for xrays to find what is going on with your knees.
Avatar m tn A couple of months ago i had really bad pain in front of my knee and could not hardly bend it cause it also hurt in the back of the knee too.It is still sensitive and at night if i lay on my back with my legs flat to the bed to pain is so bad that it wakes me.I have an appointment the middle of this month with an orthopedic dr.I can't hardly wait to see what this pain is it one of the worst pains i have ever had..What do you this is the problem?
Avatar f tn The knee xray showed no fracture or other issue - the reason for another doctor ordering xrays was that I am unable to put any direct weight on the knee (kneel on it) and it graunches and carries on when moving it, though this causes no pain. I have no pain on movement, the bruise that was present for six weeks has gone and it is no longer swollen but still this problem remains. Any suggestions as to what it may be?
Avatar m tn I am a 53 year old male who has been walking my whole life, lately my right knee has been locking up and I get a bad burning pain just about were my knee bends. This just came on all of a sudden about two weeks ago. It dosen't happen all the time, but when it does the pain is a hot burning type pain. It burns for awhile and I have trouble walking and then it just goes away for days at a time until it happens again. Does anyone know what it could be or what is causing this pain.
Avatar n tn My right knee clicks when moving down stairs. I have stiffness and pain in my right hip (particularly after running, but also when I don't run). Any ideas what I can do to fix this?
Avatar m tn It started two days ago after finishing a hike with steep declines and seems to happen most with lateral movement. I can see it move when I lay down and bend my knee slowly and it appears to be a tendon (or vein or nerve maybe) passing over a bone. There is no sound when this happens. It does not hurt, but it is uncomfortable and my knee feels a little weak (although this may be in my head). It does not seem to be getting better or worse since I noticed it.
Avatar n tn Also, my right calf gets sore and very weak but not all the time. I also can get severe pain in my left hip when sleeping on it at night. I have tendinitis in my wrist and this is not the same. This is stiffness and sever ache through the whole knee area in both knees. Pain is also bad in the morning when i wake up since the knees are very stiff. I first thought arthritis but this is definitely more than joint pain.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I fell Christmas 2015 running for a train and fell on a large concrete step straight onto my right knee cap. It was cut and badly bruised at the time but over a year later I can't kneel on that area of my knee without it hurting badly I'd say 9/10 pain rating. When I put pressure on it with my fingers it also hurts. The location of the pain is under my knee cap. I've recently started running which mostly just makes the area stiff.
Avatar m tn It has had extensive physical tests and on the third day in i hurt my knee. The pain was sharp and intense the day i hurt it on the outside of my knee. My knee never buckled or twisted or popped to indicate something bad happened. I was just walking up stairs after a short jog about 100m and my knee began to lock up and have intense pain that day. I fought through the pain that day and made it to the next day of training.
Avatar f tn I would say to rub your leg with vapo rub or ben-gay something like that & then put some socks on & cover yourself with a blanket & go to sleep. That makes my knee pains go away quick when their bad. I've had knee pain all my life.
4671444 tn?1357794171 felt like I had no control weak knee then it pop not once put three times omg did it hurt, swelling, stayed off it but came back. I had a torn tendon 4 yrs ago so today I got a MRI hoping that will explain.
Avatar f tn This doesnt feel half as supportive as my knee keeps moving in the splint as i cant keep it straight as my knee keeps swelling up alot. I'm also getting a lot of knee and leg pain aswell as knee spasms and pins and needles. I'm worried i should still be in a cast as the specialist was so adament about it. Should i be worried and ask for another opinion?? Im still waiting for another hospital appointment.
