Avatar n tn I run alot. And when I run I get this sharp pain in my left knee, it kinda feels like It needs to crack, but it never does. Then when I put alot of weight onto my left leg my knee will start to hurt again. Is this serious? Or should I jus ignore it for now?
Avatar m tn I laid off the knee for the remainder of the week, but when i started lifting the next week, anything that put stress on the knee hurt. Squats, Legpress, Deadlifts, they all hurt right at the middle of the knee behind the patella. It also hurts when I try to jog and occasionally go down stairs. I saw an athletic trainer and he believes that it may be a bruised femure.

Avatar f tn My daughter has been complaining of pain behind her knee it is when she has her knee bent for some time, if she rides on my shoulders, when I lift her down she can't walk and cries with pain, can anyone give me me some advise on what this could be
Avatar m tn Just making sure, when you say "flexing the knee and hip to the 90/90 position and rotating the hip internally produces pain and popping," do you mean lifting the knee up and bringing it towards the chest and rotating it inward? Do you think the wrap eliminating the pain eliminates the chance of a labral tear?
Avatar f tn My office chair rolled out from under me as I sat this morning and I ended up on the floor. I only fell on my rear but my left knee was flexed to it's max. You need to know I have arthritis in both knees and no cartilage left under knee caps. My knee instantly was hurting but mostly when trying to walk normal. I can walk stiff legged and it doesn't hurt too bad but flex the knee and it has sharp pain like i have walking up and down stairs because of the knee caps.
245285 tn?1220498346 I would suggest you to apply ice packs on your knee joint 4-5 times a day till the pain and inflammation decreases. Take NSAIDs, rest and avoid weight bearing for couple of days. If your symptoms continue then I would suggest you to go for scans (X-rays and if required MRIs) to diagnose any bone or soft tissue damage. Always wear proper shoes and walk and exercise on suitable surfaces and avoid concrete and hard surfaces. Take care!
Avatar f tn I tripped and fell crossing the street yesterday and now my knee just below my patella hurts when ever i bend it with pressure on it. it also hurts when i press on it though their isnt a bruise could it possibly be hyper extended?
Avatar n tn Do you have access to a gym? Or is this for at home exercises without any equipment?
Avatar m tn He is having severe (and I mean real severe) pain just below the shoulder blades. MRI, FNAC test are non suggestive. His blood and other related tests came out normal. The pain is there for about a month. I earnestly request medical professionals to kindly suggest me what should I do. my email is fosiul.
Avatar m tn 30, with my gf and my knee got super tight and after another step a SHARP pain shot through it and I nearly fell. We had only gone about 4 miles and had warmed up properly and stretched, the weather was warm so I wasn't cold or tight when it happened. I have seen my medical department and they suspected ITB or Meniscus problems. However after about 2 months of aggressive icing, stretching, and physical therapy I can now run LESS and less before the pain comes back.
Avatar n tn I have had to do some heavy lifting the past few weeks and the pain lessons in the morning but still hurts quite a bit. Is it possible I've injured it again or is it possibly being 51?
Avatar f tn Older woman here, developed knee pain 2 months ago. It thankfully went away, but then about a week ago started hurting again, this time in different location, just to the left and medial of my knee cap. Every step is excruciating, only way to describe it. Guess I have meniscus tear? But has anyone experienced this type of horrible pain with Every Step? If so did you find a remedy?
Avatar m tn One of the reasons I started weightlifting was so I could try to fix these imbalances. Foam rolling and wearing a knee sleeve helps me a lot when lifting heavy weights, as it makes me feel almost no pain even when doing, for example, squats or similar exercises. In the last week or so, I noticed that my left knee got a bit swollen. It feels tender to touch, as if it's filled with a liquid.
Avatar m tn they have prescribed all kinds of anti inflamatories and pain killers non of them work at all. the pain is unbearable when i stand or walk for more than 10-15 minutes. the pain reaches a level 10. and when i sit down it completly goes away in fact it feels like there is nothing wrong but as soon as i get up it comes back again. The Pain it starts inside the knee, along with a tingleing sensation along the outside, then it travels down the outside of my caff.
Avatar n tn I have also been diagnosed with a mal-tracking problem with my left knee, meaning when I do anything movement where my knee bends and has weight on it, the knee moves slighting forward and inward, instead of just forward. This has caused me some minor knee pain sometimes, however it's not prominant right now. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I get unbelievable pain from my knee down to my ankles when I jog. After about 40 minutes that pain is some what tolerable and I can jog for 4-5 minutes straight. For the rest of my day my ankles are sore. Does anybody have any idea what this is?
Avatar f tn When your knee hurts, it throws off the way you walk, stand, even sleep. So it's no wonder your back hurts as well. What kind of arthritis were you dx'ed with? Osteo (injury or wear-and-tear related) or rheumatoid (an autoimmune disease)? FWIW, I had a hip replacement at age 37, but I've had rheumtoid arthritis since age 5 so my case is a little different than yours. Ask for a referral to an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knees.
Avatar f tn I have no idea what to do about my knee pain, i went for lifeguard training today and i cant even push myself because my knee give out even with swimming :( im sick of this pain :(((
Avatar m tn I was still experiencing pain and tightness in my knee as well as in the quad tendon but have been able to resume training with running, squatting, jumping, etc. Laying on my back, lifting my leg, and bending my leg back and forth usually creates some discomfort and a little grinding in the knee. At night prior to going to bed I always stretch. The other night I was performing the couch stretch. During the stretch I heard and felt a very loud pop directly in my knee.
Avatar n tn Over the past year I have gotten recurring pain in my left shoulder, a swollen left wrist ( a couple times), groin pain, and most recently a swollen left ankle, and a swollen left knee. With all of these the pain subsides over a couple days and I feel normal for a couple weeks. Right now the left knee is still a bit swollen but does not hurt anymore, my left shoulder pain has come back, and my middle and ring fingers in my left hand have pain where they meet the hand.
Avatar m tn they did that to my father too, with his knee last year. before surgery he could barely walk and the pain was incredible. after surgery they give him oxy's for awhile. he took half the bottle, tossed the rest and his knee is so much better.
Avatar f tn But around June 2022, I noticed that I started having some slight knee pain plus heel pain, I didn’t put much attention, thinking it was probably due to my heavy workouts. I would give myself about 3 days to rest and continued lifting weights twice a week. Fast forward to July 2022 I noticed a red lump on my thigh and had it checked out by my dr. who said it was a lipoma.
Avatar f tn I had my right knee TKR in June 2010, I cannot recall what the pain was pre-op, but I do know that it is very bad and has been since surgery. I have fairly good function with the knee and am able to do the work I love (I would be very depressed to lose that) but work is the whole of my life as it HURTS during the work day and it takes the rest of my day to 'recover' somewhat. I have pain in the night quite often and pain upon waking.
