Avatar m tn Now pain located vicinity of lateral collateral ligament and behind knee. Sharp pain behind knee upon straightening/standing. Also pain behind knee hen bending (I.e. Avatar m tn Just making sure, when you say "flexing the knee and hip to the 90/90 position and rotating the hip internally produces pain and popping," do you mean lifting the knee up and bringing it towards the chest and rotating it inward? Do you think the wrap eliminating the pain eliminates the chance of a labral tear?
Avatar m tn And for the record it seems my knee-area problem has 95% gone away. I am no longer aware of any stiffness and only notice a very slight twinge when squatting down. Yay, the body is a wonderful thing, but it didn't half take its time to heal.
Avatar f tn About a month later my wrists started to feel better, but I started getting the same pain in my ankles, and my left knee. It really hurts alot when I walk or have to lift my knee. My knee almost feels swollen. I have never heard of a joint pain that moves around I am so lost. I am tired of taking Ibprofin and sleeping on a heating pad! I went to my primary DR. He took blood, x-rays and urine, but they all came back normal.
Avatar n tn I recently had an MRI on my knee due to pain and swelling increasing over several months. It shows a complex tear of the medial meniscus involving the posterior horn, body and anterior junction. It also shows 2 ganglions 1 is small, described as-- a peritendinous involving the proximal popliteus musculotendinous junction, the other is described as -- extensive septated lobulated pericruciate ganglion measuring 3.7 cm along the posterior border of the PCL.
Avatar f tn Like the above post said let your dr know. I had a pain behind my knee that was not going away. My Dr had me get an ultrasound done on both legs to check for blood clots. Fortunately everything was fine but it's best to make sure!

Avatar f tn The last couple days my legs have been so sore. Well today since I'm wearing shorts I noticed a small lump on my putter calf part of my leg (only noticeable when I'm flexing. I'm all freaked out. My husband said to wait until tomorrow to see if it gets worse. The lump itself does not hurt, my legs just feel heavy and tired. But I busted butt around my house all day yesterday , followed by an intense love making session with my hubby. I was exhausted to say the least.
Avatar n tn Aching pain at and below the patella. Difficulty straightening the knee. Pain is most servere when putting weight or pressure on it. Pain can be felt when climbing up the stairs, jumping, running and standing for prolonged periods. In addition, pain can be felt behind the knee cap. I've had blows to the front and side of the knees before when playing soccer. The Orthopaedic diagnosed me with having Patella Tendonosis. However, I'm seriously starting to doubt the diagnosis.
Avatar m tn While crossing a road, I missed the curb and my knee bent awkwardly and my entire body weight came down on my left knee. Had numbing pain and noticed that my kneecap was pushed up to my thigh. Luckily I was in Delhi and was near a very modern hospital. I was rushed to the emergency room. They took X-rays and MRI and immediately diagnosed the rupture. They immediately did the surgery the same day on June 27, 2012.
Avatar n tn Have you tried palpitating his leg and flexing it slowly? Just like when you twist your ankle and need to stretch it out. There are 4 joints: hip, knee, hock, and ankle. Check each of them.
Avatar m tn Also, burning sensations, tingling in my foot/toes, and sometimes the muscle (not the skin) above my knee feels numb/heavy. Also, today when I was walking, I started having a stabbing pain in the front of my pelvis whenever I took a step. It eventually went away. Does this sound more like a nerve?
Avatar m tn You watch a screen that monitors various activities of the body like heart rate. When a person has to deal with a lot of pain, for example, in order to control it without drugs, they'll hook them up, and when the person sees body changes on the screen, they'll actively respond by slowing down their breathing, which alters what they see on the screen, and the forced relaxation helps pain. In the psychological world, this is sometimes referred to as mind control.

1831849 tn?1383228392 ve been awakened by muscle spasms in my calves, primarily my left leg. Flexing my foot a few times allowed the spasm to relax. Last night I was again visited by the calf spasm fairy. This time the outside of my left calf, almost up to the knee, hurt like a sunofabeach. The foot flexing didn't help. I had to get up and walk around to get the spasm to relax. I'm hoping this is a temporary development. If not I may be forced add more pills to my all ready substantial night time handful...
1637775 tn?1300841064 Hi everyone....I have a basic question for you but first let me describe my situation. I have been lightheaded/dizzy off an on for over a week now. I'm noticing that I'm normally lightheaded when I'm eating or drinking something. I've also had pain in the middle of my chest....the direct middle....sometimes moving over to the left but normally right in the middle. When i went to the doctors about this two mondays ago they had me checked for every possible heart condition.
Avatar m tn I took it easy for a couple of days and the swelling subsided, but now I have extreme knifing pain radiating up from my knee through my quadricep muscle when I bend my knee while sitting/squatting or lowering my body (to sit in a chair, for example) What is wrong? Anybody?
Avatar f tn There was no pop or immediate/major swelling, but there was pain on the inside of the knee. I had a few episodes of the knee giving out and swelling eventually increased so 2 days after I went to an orthopedic doctor. He confirmed my suspicion that I had an MCL sprain, but said I may have also injured my ACL and meniscus.
Avatar f tn The foot and ankle are made up of many small bones. In between these bones, like any other joint like your knee or hip, there are small pads of cartilage that cushion the space between them. Over time, these pads can wear away (osteoarthritis), and when the bones grind together it causes pain. I'm not saying this is what's happening, but it's one possible cause.
Avatar m tn m looking to find someone to make sense of me being able to flex my brain and my cerebellum. I know it has no muscle fibers or pain sensors. I understand it sounds impossible but doesnt our brain contain electric impulses and can they be manipulated. Is there anybody that studies this kind of thing or at least is curious of it this could exist. Please could spmeone point me into the right directions.
Avatar n tn I feel like my brain is flexing towards the frontal lobe I get a little dizzy and have a hard time driving sometimes is it anxiety or am I just overreacting to something normal?????
Avatar m tn I have found the ability to flex my cerebellum and my brain. When I flex my cerebellum I can feel physically intense. Flexing my brain helps me get rid of my headaches. Could there be danger in flexing either.
Avatar f tn Likely sciatica. The sciatic nerve gets compressed easily when pregnant and can cause the sharp pain down your leg. Best remedies: don't cross your legs (even at the ankle) this causes it to flare. Warm packs on your butt/upper leg followed by massaging will help with relaxing the nerve and surrounding muscle. Quickest pain relief: carry a tennis ball with you. Any time that nerve flares sit directly on the tennis ball where the pain is for a minute or two.
Avatar f tn Older woman here, developed knee pain 2 months ago. It thankfully went away, but then about a week ago started hurting again, this time in different location, just to the left and medial of my knee cap. Every step is excruciating, only way to describe it. Guess I have meniscus tear? But has anyone experienced this type of horrible pain with Every Step? If so did you find a remedy?
Avatar m tn I tensed up my right ankle for a second while the needles were in, and experienced sharp pain. When the needles were removed eventually the pain turned into a dull ache, which I was assured would subside in a few days. I has not gone away, however, and I feel a dull ache and tightness in the front of ankle (where all the tendons connecting my foot to my leg are), arch, and shin. This isn't debilitating, but I am afraid that if I exercise with this injury I could worsen it.
Avatar n tn Has your husband been back to see his surgeon after his total knee replacement yet? My follow up appointment was six weeks after my Dec.4th 2012 total knee replacement. I had a lot of pain but it was manageable with Vicodin. Sleeping was difficult so I got a prescription for Temazapam and that gave me a good six hours of sleep at night. I iced it a lot to bring the swelling down. It was very swollen and hot. I went to physical therapy 3 times a week. I was at 84 degrees flexion.
