knee pain veins

I have pain behind my knee and my leg is swollen in the calf. I was checked for blood clot and it was negative. I feel heat coming out of my knee when I place an ice pack on it. It warms the ice pack quickly. My thigh is swollen too, but all the pain is in my knee. It hurts to touch the bones in my knee. My ankles are a little swollen and also the calf on the other leg. I have had a meniscus tear and arthritis in one knee and baker's cyst in the other.

ll usually last a few days and go away. sometimes it is accompanied by knee pain (i dislocated my knee cap in high school about 17 yrs ago) And sometimes there is a radiating feeling in my inner thigh. sometimes I have all these symptoms at once or sometimes 1 or 2. a bit before it all started happening I noticed the veins behind my need were getting darker but not bulging. none of the areas feel warm and no redness. on the inside of both knees I have a large cluster of spider veins.

After the surgey, my chief complaint is knee pain. In both knees. Mostly in the left knee though. I can some what understand if it was just one knee, but this is affecting both. It seems to be worse when it is about to rain. My heart doctor is dumbfounded and I have seen a pain specialist. The pain specialist thinks it is phantom pains. I have had several xrays, and nothing showing. I am taking several medications, but we have tried dropping and changing to see if they were causing it.

I had pain in the right calve muscle below the knee and the lower calve due to excessive streching about 3 weeks ago. The pain and uncomfort forced me to see a doctor who advised that I strained the calve muscle and had to use crutches. When I stand on the leg, it seems to swell slightly and the veins stands out and swells, particularly below the knee on the front inside of the calve and once I take the pressure off the leg and relax it the vein swelling subsides.

Well, since yesterday, the left knee has been having constant sharp, shooting, extremely painful "stab" like feelings now come from the front. Walking, sitting ,doesn't matter.

My legs and feet swell during the day and I elavate my legs and feet at night due to sevier vericose veins. I had surgery to close off the outer veins but the main veins in both legs are diseased as well. My feet throb and the bottom of my feet are always in pain. Is this due to my legs or can it be attributed to some other foot problems?

Hello, sorry about he delay in answering your question. Inner thigh pain and groin pain are common with varicose veins. Also, calf pain is included in that. Please see your doctor if you have not already. Let us know if you have seen them and what they have said. I have two knots in my right leg below my knee. One in the lower leg muslce and the other on the interior right side of leg. No visible sign of knots but some pain when touched or rubbed.

I assume at this point you will have to include your OB Physician also. At 17 your plate is full. You'll need some support from your family, friends and physicians. The only visible symptoms are the enlarged veins on the penis and prominent varicose veins around my right knee and some prominent varicose behind my left knee (I think I have never had varicose problems prior to this). No physical activity recently, just this nagging pain. I looked and there is a small dark blue vein on the back of my knee. You can't see any other veins just this one, it's not a spider vein, normal sized just very blue. Is this a sign of a DVT or possibly just a forming varicose vein?

Since two years i am having pain in my both legs ,specially in left leg. For the past few months i have been experiencing slight calf pain when having my leg bent when sitting down for long periods. The more bent they are the more niggling the pain. When i straighten my leg its fine. The last couple of days though the vein in both my calfs going from my achilles to my knee has been showing as if its a bruise but its in the exact same place on either leg. Thanks for the answer to my question, I just had knee surgery one week ago today, and was experiencing painful leg pain. I have a history of blood clots in my legs, the pain in which I am feeling is much like what I felt when I has the blood clot in the pass. I was sent to have a venous dopper test done if it was determined that I had a cyst in the vein in the back of my knee. Just did not know if this was something serious or what I should do about treatment for this problem.

I looked a my hands and chest today. Omg! Road map! Such blue veins, all over my body. I am 12 weeks and worried this could be a sign of blood pressure (results have been normal). Or some kind o other abnormality! Help!

as well as being able to feel my femoral vein running down my inner thigh to my knee cap, which I’m not sure if it’s normal to be able to feel that vein on the skin or not. But I’ve been having inner thigh pain and calf pain when I walk. Is this a serious issue or just common with varicose veins? I’m thinking about seeing my PC doc.

Ive had VV before i was pregnant and is an occupational hazard. Now its become worse. The veins on the back of my knee show and are tortous. I cant lie on my side coZ i feel like my leg veins are being squished. Does anyone feel the same.

I think I'm getting a blood clot in my upper thigh high above my knee below my hip everytime I get up or I go to like squat to get in the tub cuz my tummy hurts I feel the same pain in the same spot it almost feels like a poppin I do have a little bit of spider veins do you think maybe its just blood vessels in my legs are over expanding or should I go to the doctor and get it checked out doesn't cause me all whole lot of pain but god i would hate if i can never wake up

I buy the knee highs and they work wonders, I teach and have to stand on my feet all day. My veins were starting to break and legs were swelling. But since I got the knee highs it has been much better. I get mine online but I thing you can get them at like a nursing store.

I still have some discolouration from that fall. I sometimes have knee pain on that leg to. I am 120kg which I know doesnt help and a bad asthmaticwhich keeps me from being active even with mediation. Would that brusing feeling come from the fall or something else?

About 3 years ago I had a sharp pain in my right leg I look doen only to find my vien above my knee had swelled up and I had a sharp pain that lasted about 15 min but the swollen vien stayed that way for about 45min. The next day I had a huge bruse. This happened agian on my left leg so I went to the doctors as I have a hole in my heart and thought it might have something to do with my circulation...

I have pain on the inner side of my left knee (as well as pain in my right knee that is supposedly because of a cyst but it's a different pain than in my left knee). The pain I get feels like it's in the bone.. I'll get sudden - completely random - pangs of sharp pain in my knee and then my knee gives out and I can't walk on it. Any pressure at all kills it.

( anyone else have this problem? Anything I can or should do about it?
