Avatar m tn I was kicking a soccer ball and didn't "tense" my leg the right way, so when i kicked it my knee was loose and it started hurting. It didn't hurt to run, but whenever i try to kick the ball it does hurt a lot. Walking and running don't hurt but when i am walking or running my knee kinda pops and feels loose almost like its not in place. I am 14 years old.
Avatar f tn could be just that you over worked them. Do you do anything like long distance running, jumping etc...regularly? I play soccer i had the same problem...i rested for a bit, taking it easy and it went away.

Recently tennis. No previous - serious knee injuries. Hoping to get insights from this community before paying to see an Ortho. Any sugestions?
Avatar m tn These pains exist only as a shooting pain as a direct result of either running or tightening all the muscles around the knee simultaneously. These pains cannot be reproduced from pressure. After seeing multiple doctors, sports med docs, and an orthopedic doc, no one was able to resolve the problem. My MRI came back clean (according to the sports med doc and the ortho doc) and they basically told me I had nothing wrong with me and I should go home and just wait it out.
Avatar f tn I was playing soccer when i went into a tackle my Body got twisted around but my foot and lower leg stayed still. I felt a massive pain through my knee on the inside of my knee and heard and felt a snap. My team mates imediatly came running over because they said they heard a snap sound to and that it looked nasty when i did it. My coach put ice on it and strapped it up but i can only put a tiny amount of weight on it before my knee collapses.

Pain can be felt when climbing up the stairs, jumping, running and standing for prolonged periods. In addition, pain can be felt behind the knee cap. I've had blows to the front and side of the knees before when playing soccer. The Orthopaedic diagnosed me with having Patella Tendonosis. However, I'm seriously starting to doubt the diagnosis.

Avatar f tn the pain is at the right side of my right knee, its situated near the fibula, not indicating that my bone is the one hurting, the pain is distinctive as it only hurts in a manner or form of a thread, the pain doesn't take up all of the right part of my knee, its just a thread shape pain that seems to extend from the femur down to the fibula.

It gets sharp when she goes into tackles and her foot gets turned out. Anyone know what could be causing it?
Avatar m tn three months i quit the job then the pain felt very bad. went away but i have a weird cracking feeling in my knee like the joints where the knee joints. i had insurance couple of months ago and had a complete stranger come to my house for knee therapy that didn't work out. I then cancled it. told me to do some stupid twisting knee excersie. i tried therapy for two months didn't work out. then i just put a knee strap using a old cut up sock. like a hommade brace tignting my knee.
Avatar m tn i started to get a jolting sharp pain on my left knee i think coming from the knee cap or around the sides of the knee cap. it went away the next day but came back again few days later...... it seems to come when i just walk on the knee not every step but a certain pressure of my steps. Someone please help dancing is my Job and before i dish out money to a doctor i would like to try to understand what im dealing with. PLEASE HELP!

Avatar m tn the coach said it might be my shoes that they might be too tight but ive played soccer all my life and soccer shoes have to be very tight!! now this started happening about 4 months till now. basically what i want to know is..does my MS have anything to do with this?? hope you can help me out since i 100% quitted running. all i do is the row machine instead. thanks.

The pain is on both calves and when I run, they feel very tight making it difficult to run. I asked the trainer what I could do and all she said was to stretch. Even though I stretch the calves for a significant amount of time and massage them with icy hot, the pain continues. What can I do to better this problem?

I initially just assumed it was from running around so much since it usually did that after I would be on my feet for more than 8 hours (used to work retail). The only thing that has worked for my knee pain that allows me to be pain free ,is pain pills, but I am afraid to ask him for them because of the immediate labeling(which even you are having as you read this) that comes from someone asking for a strong pain medication. Stay off the knee! I can’t, I have no desire to be stationary until I am dead.Limit your activities> I already do, no running, jumping, or hard impact sports.

Avatar n tn after i had gotten the mri and was informed i had just bruising and no tears. i went back to playing soccer. as i was kicking a soccer ball ( im right footed) my knee gave that dislocation feeling and i just hit the ground in agony...i point out the fact that im right footed because thats the foot that was in mid air. i had no weight on it... it was back ready to kick the ball just before giving that foward motion. i cant keep having this happen. I need more of an answer that it will heal..

Avatar n tn Hello, About 6 months ago I started to do some running and after the first month or so started getting pain above my knee, so I stopped. Since then the pain hasn't gone away and I'm getting desperate now as nothing seems to work. The pain is at its worst when going down stairs, steep hills, or when I put weight on it such as in a lunge or squat. It's had periods of getting better then when I think I'm going to be pain free it always gets worse.
771327 tn?1235397065 i like and play football after my job times, i also doing running for 15 minutes daily for fittness also. fifteen days ago i feel pain in my leg blow the knee and up from enkle which was increase gradually as i played regularly daily for 30 minutes soccor practice in ground. then i decide to rest for few days then i leave running and soccor for more then one weak and weared 3 socks in that my right leg.
Avatar f tn I had something similar happen and was also concerned so I asked my teacher and thats what she told me. Except I got my bruise on my knee from playing soccer. Once the bruise was gone there was a lump there for quite a while but it'll go away eventually. Just try not to poke it or anything cause as you know it just makes you hurt.
Avatar f tn the doctor that the legs may not give me trouble in the next 20 yrs(im 14)they however DO allready pain.my right knee often ALLREADY hurts.and since im an athlete,i have not been able to play soccer,take part in races.etc...the doctor even says that when im about 40-45,the legs r gonna give me a lot of trouble.but according to my doc,having a surgery means a 3-4 month layoff.
