Avatar f tn you feel pain at the side and in center of knee, the swelling increases day by day, limit your tendency to bend the knee, you may feel sharp pain while bending your knee and walking. The pain come and go anytime and anywhere. 3. Extreme tears: the pain moves in joint space, you must feel you are unable to straighten your knee and pain get worst. your knee become frail, swell and stiff. The pain lasts for a long time. If you have any of these symptoms, contact to a Orthopedist.
Avatar n tn sudden --- out of no where --- extreme sharp, like being electrocuted, pain but always in my left leg, two inches or so beneath my knee on the back side. It is maybe 3/4" deep (apprx). So weird. So very painful. It goes away suddenly, but the severity is notable even to a person with high tolerance to pain. I have been fighting some sort of weird infection that has been lingering lately, so I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it.
Avatar m tn I've had surgery many years back. A few weeks ago i hurt my knee when I walked into a hole I had not seen. There was swelling for a few days... Once the swelling went away I noticed a bump at the back of my knee. The bump itself is not painful, but my knee doesn't seem to really get better as a regular pain persists. I am keeping an eye on it, but I believe it is getting bigger. Will consult shortly, but any idea what this could be?
Avatar m tn I have a hard boney bump on the outer side of my left knee cap. I only started to notice the bump after I've increased my running miles. The bump has only recently started to give me pain while I'm active. It is not painful to touch, but it hurts really bad when I climb stairs or bend my knee. What could be the problem?
Avatar f tn I have a hard lump on the lateral side of my knee and bruising around knee and it band. I cannot bend knee and feal pain all the time, when sitting, lying or walking. When i press lump there is irritability and pain. It hurts to straighten knee. I had an x-ray that shows a minor lateral patella tracking but my knee cap does not hurt. I have had this for a year, what can I do to fix this and go back to sport?
Avatar m tn I have the same thing on the same side of my knee - did you find any solutions??
Avatar n tn I been having pain on the left side of my body. It my start out as knee pain and then a couple minutes later my whole left side is in pain. I have constant headaches in the temple area on the left side as well. Yesterday i started experiencing sharp pains near the rip cage area. My friend thinks it maybe arthritis or something. I'm not sure. Can you tell me what could be wrong with me.
Avatar f tn The trainer said it was tendonitis but that was at first it kept getting worse, and the pain wakes me up in the middle of the night. I randomly get pains when I am just sitting. I have tried OTC meds of all sorts, and they didnt seem to really work.
Avatar m tn I've been having the EXACT same problems as you all. Sudden, sharp pain on the inner side of my knee close to my kneecap. It's intense, lasts for 15-20 seconds (sometimes has lasted closer to a minute), and practically debilitates me when it happens. It's completely random, although it seems to come on almost always when I'm either sitting or lying down (rarely when I'm standing and almost never during activity like sports or exercise).
1779555 tn?1314565745 Same here. This is new to me. It's only been happening for a week or two, and maybe one to two times per day. It's just behind my right knee, and kind of on the right side next to the big tendon. It's come very close to flooring me a few times. Hurts but hoping it's not serious. I'm 35, and exercise regularly so in pretty good shape.
Avatar f tn I have never had muscle spasms occur on the right of the spine in my back in the past; they have always stayed to the left and on the center of the lower spine. No further spasms have been felt on the left side of the spine since the block. The sore, aching, and rigid muscles on the left seem to be a residual effect of the typically constant muscle spasms and stabbing nerve pain that have remained in the area since the original presentation of my severe chronic pain symptoms back in 2018.
Avatar f tn I have have 4 spots now. On the top of my big toe, my knee, back of my left shoulder and top of my right hand. Went to a specialist once and they stuck pins in my skin for a nerve test and said everthing was fine.. this has gone on for years now.
Avatar f tn Since about 3 weeks I have severe pain on the back of my knee ( left leg), it hurts mostly when walking. Especially after sitting a while, If Advil don't help to ease the pain. I'm not a sports person have not done anything out of the ordinary. the muscle on my calves are very tight and sometimes cramp. I have done a ultrasound to rule out a blood clot. Fortunately nothing was found. Thank you for any response. I do stretch sometimes, put heat on.
Avatar n tn Elevation (above your heart) of the leg and ice helps some. So does walking with a cane -- be sure to use the cane on the opposite side of the problem knee. I recently received a prescription for Lidocane patches (used primarly to relieve the pain of Shingles) which I wear on my knee for 12 hrs during the day and that seems to hold me practically pain free. I would recommend it to anyone suffering with knee pain who doesn't want or can't take oral pain medication.
Avatar m tn - shooting pain up the outside of the hammy near the IT band, and down the outside of the calf, near the head of the fibula. This is on and off either during exercise or a result of. When it hurts it's for a couple seconds, then goes away. Cannot be reproduced with pressure. - back of my knee feels "mushy" like stuff in there is all jumbled up. My good knee you can feel muscle and tendons or whatever all that stuff is. On the right knee, it just feels like a mess of peanut butter.
Avatar f tn hi my son who is 26 has the same smptons ..woke up 22nd july with severe pain in knee was admitted to hospital for 1 week and the drained the kne 5 times.he was discharged and sent to a rummy consultant and the saga goes on. he has had xray and awaiting mri.. they think its some kind of arthritis and said it would settle down soon...they were wrong..he also goes to a private alternative thereapist who says he has damaged his back at work and is working on that .
Avatar f tn Horseback riding is definately hard on the body if your not used to it..I hope everything is fine with your knee. And am wishing you luck..put ice on it and take some motrin for pain /swelling...maybe an ace bandage would help too..
Avatar n tn About a week ago, my knee started feeling sharp pain only when pressure is applied. I don't remember what exactly my position was (maybe I kneeled, maybe my leg touched the under side of a table). But anyway, whatever it was that touched my knee felt like a tiny sharp needle instead! There is no swelling or any visible sign. I tried to find out what it was but there was nothing there. I rubbed my knee, sort of poked at it to try and pinpoint where the pain came from.
Avatar n tn i play about 2 or more hours at a time, everything is fine the first hr or hour and a half. After that the side of my knee begins to hurt and after a while i cant put any weight on it. My lateral movement is almost completely gone and then i can barely walk. Afterwards that whole night im in severe pain, worse after sitting for a bit and trying to stand up. Up until today everytime that would happen the next day my knee would be perfectly fine, this time it stayed sore for longer than ususal.
Avatar f tn i first of you need to increase on your muscle strength, dothe following use a warm water towel and follow it with massage of your knees statics for your quadriceps(pushing your knees down), full range of movement for the knees in supine lying(lying on your back),sitting on the edge of the bed, later use 1kg weight and perform the bending and straightening of the legs, reduce on walking because you have to stay from aggravating factors.
3147730 tn?1343154021 Hello and thank you for reading so far. In 2007, I slipped on a piece of pecan pie and tore my ACL and did some other damage intermittently. In May 2011, I had arthroscopic surgery. My knee continues to slip out of place, but I can pop it back in. Also, I cannot walk very far without being down for a few days after. I saw my ortho surgeon yesterday. He recommended Aleve 2 X per day. My PCP prescribes 30 hydrocodone per month.
Avatar f tn She suffered RSDS in the first TKR 9 years ago that knee is totally stuffed that was the opposite knee to this recent one. The surgeon said there was only a 2% chance of RSDS in this knee, what is your opinion? Thanks Lynsey.
Avatar n tn I have had the same thing in my left leg - it's been about 2 weeks now for me. Started with some pain behind my knee, I couldn't straighten my leg all the way. Then the pain kind of moved down into my calf, affected my thigh a little, then behind my knee -- it's been on and off for 2 weeks. I tried icing it which kind of helped - tried wearing a knee brace, sort of helped.
