Avatar n tn You may have arthritic problems now in your knee. The numbness in the foot could be from referred pain from your knee or lower back, inappropriate footwear or nerve damage. Apply hot, or cold packs to the knee. Use the one that helps the best. If the climate is hot and you work out a lot and sweat, you may require more than the 3 litres of water throughout the day.
10562950 tn?1411070041 but this is knee and my whole leg hurts from top to bottom.. Both legs.. i woke up in the middle of the night crying in pain. Anybody else experience this??
Avatar f tn The closest thing I could find is if you think of your knee joints like a door. In cold weather, it shrinks. In hot weather, it expands. I wonder if you are not having that kind of reaction with your knee joint. https://www.osgpc.com/warm-weather-joint-pain/ And while hot water therapy is common for arthritis, for some with arthritis, they find showers uncomfortable. ?? Do you think you have arthritis? For some people, they really do react to either cold or hot.

2115734 tn?1334546847 For X number of months (where X can be 3, or 4, or 5 or maybe even 6), I have no physical pain in the RIGHT knee. When OA (osteoarthritis) physical pain starts under the kneecap of the RIGHT knee, I do quad sets for Y number of consecutive days (where Y can be 4, or 5, or 6 or 7 consecutive days) and the physical pain ends again for X number of months. I'd like to swim but know that with no external support around the RIGHT knee there's physical pain while swimming.
670987 tn?1284498786 Hey everyone, I am pregnant with my third child (about 17 weeks) with this pregnancy it has been one thing after another. First of all I have headaches everyday, now for about the last 5 hours or so, I've had a constant throbbing pain in my knee cap on my left leg. There is a bruised colored knot on the left side but that isn't where the pain is. The pain is around the bottom of the knee cap itself. I've tried a heating pad, ice, tylenol, etc. Not helping.
Avatar f tn I had some mild pain in the calf of my left leg. My doctor said it is not a clot. The pain has gotten extensively worse now affecting the knee. I went back to doctor and the doctor said it is arthritis of the knee and that, at this point, no tests were necessary. Well, in spite of anti-inflammatory meds, I cannot put my full weight down on my leg without pain that seems more concentrated directly under the knee. I am walking around limping.
Avatar f tn Has anyone developed or had fluid in joints with psoratic arthritis? I have had m knee drained twice, about two cupsof fluid..
Avatar f tn I also massage my knee and move my knee cap around in tiny circles to unpinch nerves.
Avatar n tn Fell hard on left knee. It became bruised in color and pain, numbness, warm feeling, and burning got worse and worse. The injured area is at the very top of the knee leaving like a crease at the top and across from side to side. It was not in the meniscus area (as I know where that pain radiates since I toreit several years ago and had sursery on it). This does not feel like what I'm I felt previously.
Avatar f tn The weakness first started in 1998 when someone kicked my leg in from behind me and my knee has given way in 2005, resulting in a bone bruise on my shin from hitting a step on the bus. The bone bruise has healed although I have a dent in my shin from where I hit it. Popping sound when straightening my leg from a bent position. Locking and pain when I walk, mostly when I try to straighten it during mobilisation.
Avatar f tn Feeling the calf when this pain happens, i cannot feel the muscles tensing or contracting. The best way i can describe the pain is almost like a funny bone pain, but in my calf. The spasms (or whatever they are) are so intense, i cry out in pain. I tried heat and ice and both had no effect. It doesn't matter what position I am in. I did not injure myself recently either. I'm not sure if this is something serious or if it will probably go away.
Avatar f tn the pain moves in joint space, you must feel you are unable to straighten your knee and pain get worst. your knee become frail, swell and stiff. The pain lasts for a long time. If you have any of these symptoms, contact to a Orthopedist.
Avatar f tn QUITE A FEW MONTHS AGO I STARTED GETTING ACHES IN BOTH LEGS, I PUT IT DOWN TO THE MENOPAUSE, ANYWAY 6 WEEKS AGO THE PAINS SEEMED TO BE GETTING WORSE I HOPED IT WOULD GO AWAY, 3 WEEKS AGO I NOTICED MY LEFT KNEE WAS PAINFUL AND SWOLLEN, MY DOCTOR SENT ME FOR AN XRAY I HAD GOT MODERATE OSTEOARTHRITIS OF MY KNEE, UNFORTUNATELY AT THE MOMENT I HAVE TO HOLD ONTO SOMETHING TO GET UP OUT OF A CHAIR AND A STRUGGLE TO CLIMB STAIRS, WHILST SITTING I GET PAIN IN OTHER LEG I AM ONLY 55 BUT I FEEL ABOUT 70, I
Avatar f tn Hi again everyone, my leg is killing me, its really swollen today, and i have radiating pain from my ankles to my hip. My pain has definitely got worse since i had surgery, not in my knee but everywhere else. I just hate playing the waiting game, because thats what my doctor makes me do, and im not able to take pain meds, so i have to deal with it everyday. It's very irratating, and it's hard to stay positive and happy when all im able to do everyday is sit in my bed and watch tv.
Avatar m tn I'm experiencing a sharp knee pain (left knee), to the side of joint (left side) when i kneel flush on my knee cap. I've had water on the knee (right) many years ago which only occurred when i flew long distance. When i press my knee cap, no pain, nor to the side, only seems to be on hard surfaces with my full weight. Any thoughts, much appreciated.
Avatar f tn Hey all, I know it's been a while, I decided to take time off from my health even though my health hasn't exactly agreed to take a break from me! ;) I am writing tonight because I have been experience g a rather uncomfortable problem that became severe last night. Let's just say...my whole ignore it and it will go away tactic didn't work.
4671444 tn?1357794171 Hi! In all probability you have injured the menisci in the knee—either the medial or the lateral depending on the site of pain. Meniscii if torn or injured, result in joint instability—that is you are not confident the knee joint will take your weight. Often the person feels a popping sensation on moving the joint. It can also be tendinitis due to inflammation of tendon at the knee joint. Since you had tendon injury 4 years back, this time too it could be a tendon troubling you.
Avatar m tn t suggest arthritis to me, I have arthritis of the knee and I get pain in the knee, also in muscles that work the knee. I don't get numbness anywhere else. I'm not medically qualiified but a doctor should check this out, whatever it is you will be better off with treatment.
Avatar n tn Those feelings are called paresthesias. It's nerve pain like Ree4tu said. I've had every sensation from water dripping to water splashing, like when you feel the light spray from the hose, cold sensation, crawling and tingling, burning, cold etc..They are very disturbing. I've had them from head to toe. I never could tell whether there was really water there or not. Most of the time it was just paresthesias.
Avatar m tn Hello. just coming on here to see if anyone else has or is still in pain 8+ months after total hip replacement? Back in June of 2012 I had the surgery done. The arthritis had set in to my left hip, but the pain was spread to my left knee?? doc said the hip replacement would more than likely take care of the knee pain. At first (in the second week after) the pain wasn't so bad in the knee, but the pain came back shortly after that and isn't getting better.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with your arthritis - I, too, have severe osteo arthritis in all my joints, but most severe in my knees, ankles and right shoulder (I've already had that shoulder replaced). I do get the pain in my lower legs and the burning/aching feeling.
