knee pain from sitting

Two days later once I stand up it sends a shooting pain from my buttocks down to my my knee and a bit down wards. I now feel it when sitting when lying down and when standing down which is worst. I don't have any injury around that area and I live in Nigeria. Any suggestions that you can give as to what might be wrong and probable solutions before I am able to go to the hospital. Don't have enough money to go and get the X-rays and other scans done.

Ever since then I cannot knee on a certain part of that knee. If I do I get a sharp, burning, stinging pain that quickly subsides once off the knee. I can walk and run on it fine, and have not experienced any swelling or other problems. I cannot feel any abnormalities on the outside. The pain is on top of the knee. Even pushing on a certain area it is is sensitive. What do you think?

I have had knee pain in my left knee for about 3 years now. When i am sitting on a chair and i straighten my left leg the pain occurs, and there must be something wrong because my right knee is fine. I also get the pain when i am lying in bed. The pain is most apparent when i lift my left knee cap, you know how you can tense or whatever and your knee cap will move up.

Yeah I have pretty bad knee, hip, and lower back pain. More than likely it's just from the extra weight from the pregnancy. I'm hoping it'll stop once I deliver, for you and me. I know how miserable it can be.

When sitting down there is no pain, and I can move my leg around with no pain while sitting. My knee pops occasionally but nothing new. I'm in the military, and I don't want to go to the doctor unless I have to so I don't lose a deployment coming up. Any advice is appreciated.

Its been going on for a couple weeks now but when i sit down in the criss cross position theirs a pain that shoots from my left side of my thigh starting from my butt all the way to my ankle. I have been told that I need knee replacements... have bone on bone in fact it is scheduled for one knee I feel that I weigh to much (like around 300) and have pains that are not part of the knee problem so the question is ... I CAN'T GET UP FROM A SITTING POSTION... and have dont' have pain from knees unless I do a lot of walking but every time I try to stand up from a sitting positon .. I just can't do it with out help or something to push me up...

the pain is at the right side of my right knee, its situated near the fibula, not indicating that my bone is the one hurting, the pain is distinctive as it only hurts in a manner or form of a thread, the pain doesn't take up all of the right part of my knee, its just a thread shape pain that seems to extend from the femur down to the fibula.

s orders since my back surgery. I have no pain walking, no pain while sitting, no pain in the car, no pain laying down, The ONLY time this hits me is when I'm sitting down! It's weird. the pain of the knee is at the side of the knee cap. sometimes it (the bump) will pop out -- whenever I get up from a chair. I pop it back in by sitting down again and raising the lower leg. this might be from an injury when I was 4 when thrown down from a stool and landing on knees several times. thank you.

Past 2 days i am having knee pain while sitting time only. I felt my knees getting very strife also.

When I get up from sitting down, I will get a sharp pain from the back of my knee and my leg starts to buckle. I feel a loud pop. i'm a dancer and I can't extend my knee anymore. I don't know what I did to mess it up. but even laying down i have to force myself to extend it. every time i get it extended it sends sharp pain from the lower part of my knee up to my hip bone. hi i am a girl aged 16 and for the past while i have increasing pain in my right hip while playing sports and expecialy sitting down? the back of my knee and thigh hurts aswel, sometimes when i move my hip usual cracks? it got so bad i was getting it hard to walk but now its not as bad? i also got some lower back pain ..what do you think is up???

Had my left knee replaced and severe pain from day one. When I lay on my right side , bend my knee 45% and try to lift it straight up , severe pain on the outside of the knee. Absolutely can not lift it. I told the doctor this after one month, he just said it ould get better with time. 13 months later no difference same intense pain. Knee bends 90% and works fine except when I try tp privot inward to the right.

So I've had problems since I can remember. She I was about 3 they stayed my hips and knees as I would cry in pain after kneeling or sitting with my legs in a basket. I don't remember the results, bar being told not to kneel or sit cross legged. So here I am, 21 asking, what could be wrong. After walking only a few hours my hips become sore, and I have to waddle just to get home. The pain in my left leg is especially bad running down into my shin making it agony.
