Avatar f tn When I stand up from sitting i get an excruciating pain and blood rush feeling through my knee. My foot gets tingly and my knee feels hot most of the time. Is this of any concern? Should I go see a doctor?
Avatar f tn One I have surgery on and no more problems the other I fixed through exercise. Riding and walking consistently have kept the other from surgery for 15 yeara and I am allergic to NSAIDs. Sometimes they can give you cortezone. The one knee does worse the less exercise I get. Every knee is different and that is why I would start with a GP an possibly PT first.
Avatar m tn I experience many different kinds of pain in many different areas of the knee, everything from the type of pain that accompanies a bruise to pinching, burning, and stinging. It does not matter if my knee is bent, straigthened, or whether I am walking or resting. I would really appreciate some suggestions to help alleviate the pain.
Avatar n tn Hi I am experience a similiar type pain in my knee. It started rather suddenly and within a few days grew to the point of pain that involuntarily causes me to scream out loud. Each episode lasted no longer than 30 seconds or so, and were usually spaced out by hours of no pain.
902868 tn?1242156798 Hi; I have a lot of problems with my right butt cheek. When my lower back is on fire, my butt cheek will be as well. I don't take any chances riding a street bicycle I have a knee replacement and the very thought of falling on that knee kinda makes me ill. I do have an incumbent bike and I still have problems with my butt cheek getting really tender after riding it. I try to ride it very slow everyday, I get a little exercise that way. Take care.

655727 tn?1283296048 It does not restore the same level of function that the person had before the damage to the knee joint began. The knee will not bend as far as it did before you developed knee problems, but the surgery will allow you to stand and walk for longer periods without pain. After surgery, you may be allowed to resume activities such as golfing, riding a bike, swimming, walking for exercise, dancing etc.
Avatar n tn what is the average length of rehab therapy after total knee replacement? This discussion is related to On-going Pain after Knee replacement surgery.
Avatar m tn I had TKR on my left knee 4 mths ago. I have loss of feeling, post-operatively, from my replaced kneecap down to mid calf. I was told this may or may not go away. I have not been able to sleep or sit for more than 1 hr before intense pain forces me to massage around the knee, front and back. When this happens the knee feels like stone and I am unable to lift it without using my hands.
Avatar f tn hi there I really need some help and answers, my partner was out on his motorbike on beach when the bike slipped out from under him while he was riding and the bike fell on his inner right knee, he managed to slightly straighten his leg once, that was straight after accident so we thought it may heal itself as didn't think it was to serious, it has now been over 2weeks and he is still unable to straighten leg what so ever, and also now he is starting to get deep muscle and bone aches all ove
Avatar f tn This past weekend I was hopping from rock to rock and seem to have injured my knee. It clicks and locks. when that happens it is extremely painful, however when it is not locked there is no pain. In the last few months I have tried to get my fitness level back up to what it once was. I do 45 minutes of aerobic exercise, either stationery bike or treadmill and follow that with some weight training and stretching.
Avatar f tn However, she continues to have intense knee pain (7-8 on the 1 to 10 scale) on a constant basis when weight bearing. Her knee frequently gives out -- she falls a lot -- especially when bumped from the side. Her orthopedist has said probably patello-femoral syndrome (growth plates still marginally open) but acknowledges that the knee instability isn't consistent with that diagnoses (nor is the intensity of the pain).
Avatar m tn I've recently started skateboarding again its been about 4 months and I usually skate at most twice a week. Lately I've been feeling pain on the outside of my right knee after about an hour of skating. I've realized I usually land on my right leg if I'm jumping off a trick that I know I'm not going to land and this happens repeatedly. My right leg is my front leg when skating so when I land on it I'm also stopping my forward movement.
Avatar f tn Hey remm thanks, I was told by Therapist if you keep doing the excercises they gave in PT, it would keep the scar tissue from building back, bike riding and swimming are suppose to be the best. My problem is still can't bend the knee well enough to push the bike pedals all the way around. Hope that helps.
Avatar m tn I had the same knee pain after an exposure but only my left knee. I found this from a good site hope it helps. he most common causes of muscle pain are tension, stress, overuse and minor injuries. This type of pain is usually localized, affecting just one or more muscles or parts of your body. Systemic muscle pain, which you feel throughout your body, is different. It's more often the result of an infection, an illness or a side effect of a medication.

Avatar m tn This past weekend I fell while riding a motorcycle. My knee was hit, but it didn't feel very serious at all as I am able to walk fine with very minor pain. There is little swelling and a few scratches because I was wearing jeans during the fall. My knee however is numb. I've applied ice for the past two days but hasn't seen any improvement.
Avatar m tn It is a little painful the start walking anywhere and if I have to stop and wait while stood, ie picking up the kids from school, again the pain grows. When a get home and sit down, the pain resides after a few minutes. The pain is not local to the hip, it can appear in either the buttock area or my entire right leg, especially the muscle in front of my calf. There is no single area I can 'touch' that is painful within the hip itself.
Avatar f tn I am a professional horse trainer, and now have terrible pain while riding. I never had this pain before surgery - even when I was riding with no ACL. It is now March of 2010, with no end to the pain in sight. Think long and hard before you allow this procedure to be done.
Avatar m tn I took it easy for a couple of days and the swelling subsided, but now I have extreme knifing pain radiating up from my knee through my quadricep muscle when I bend my knee while sitting/squatting or lowering my body (to sit in a chair, for example) What is wrong? Anybody?
2063301 tn?1343833074 And after about 2 months I developed a back and knee ache. My left knee hurts whenever I climb stairs or stand up from a sitting position but that pain is much more better than before. My back ache though, there's this pain in my lower back of the right side of my spine which is only there where I bend forwards, when I stand up from a sitting position, when I change my posture while sleeping and when I sneeze while standing up.
Avatar f tn The next day my mother tried to make me carry on as normal but only after consistently telling her how bad the pain the pain was did she take me to the hospital to get a knee brace and pain killers (the first of many). The nurses at the hospital gave me a small knee brace and refused to listen to me because the brace was supposed to be tight enough to support the knee.
Avatar f tn Regular doc says I need to take celebrex for arthritis pain. I know it is a NSAID so I am scared of it. He thinks it is not a problem with hep c, but he is not a Hep C doc. What is the scoop on it? Any one taking it with Hep C?
