Needless to say before leaving PT I could not use the crutches with the stiff brace so offered a walker and a smaller brace that went above the knee and below the knee with a cut out for the knee. I wore that and stayed off of it as much as possible. Constant pain, heavy Naproxen. 3 wks I went back...primary doctor ordered an xray/mri which I had to wait 2 wks before but did prescribe me Vicotone instead of Naproxen. In 2 wks I walked stiffly in with brace to the xray/mri and had that done.

So Tuesday afternoon I was in school and I was walking down these steps (only 4-5 steps) I missed the step and fell, I stood up all I had was a scrapped knee. The next day I get this random sharp pain on my left side where the top of your thigh is but to the side. That was wensday I felt it, Thursday I was fine but I food poisoning and passed gas but today I can't since I'm at school. Any advice what it could be? I think it's built up gas from today or I have have pulled something.

So I was going into the store about an hour ago and slipped in the rain and fell pretty hard. Not on my belly but hurt my knee and ankle and foot pretty good. I have fetal monitoring tomorrow morning and plan to tell them what's happened. No contractions yet. Only a few seconds of sharp pain on the left side of the lower abdomen. I'm 32weeks now. Got my feet up and relaxing now.

I get a burning pain in my upper calf neer the back of my knee. Is there any reason it took so long to bruise and should Is it possible I tore a tendon?

I went to dr he says I have a cyst from my knee to my ankle deep inside from a fall He sent me to a specialist who wants me to do physical therapy for a month and then if Ican come up with $1000.he will do a MRI to check it further. I am walking with crutches as it hurts terribly.

I got an x-ray and was informed that it was just soft tissue damage and should go away with some ibuprofen and regular application of ice. It has been just over a month since the fall and my knee is still numb. My grandfather told me when he had damaged the nerves in his foot, the numb feeling didnt pass until a year later. I'm not looking forward to this recovery process as i am a dancer and figure skater, so it basically sucks.

I am now 31 years old and this fusion was done a year and a half ago. I now suffer from severe pain in my hip, back and leg. Is there any doctors that you reccommed that do reversals with this procedure? I appreciate your feedback.

I have a pain in the back of my right knee. I can sit for about 5 or 10 min and when I get up I feel like I am going to fall. When I lay in bed it aches. Its just the back of my right knee and I can feel that it is swollen. Can anyone help me with this pain. I have tried icy hot cream and bengay hot towels.

I still have some discolouration from that fall. I sometimes have knee pain on that leg to. I am 120kg which I know doesnt help and a bad asthmaticwhich keeps me from being active even with mediation. Would that brusing feeling come from the fall or something else?

I play ice hockey, and over the last 5 years I have had recurring knee issues with my right knee. My right knee clicks and pops a lot when I walk. Now, tha doesn't generally cause pain, but any time this problem does occur, it is accompanied by related issues with it. For example, if I try to get on my knees (happens a lot in hockey) I have a lot of trouble and pain getting up off my right knee. I feel like the shin moves inward.

Ever since then I cannot knee on a certain part of that knee. If I do I get a sharp, burning, stinging pain that quickly subsides once off the knee. I can walk and run on it fine, and have not experienced any swelling or other problems. I cannot feel any abnormalities on the outside. The pain is on top of the knee. Even pushing on a certain area it is is sensitive. What do you think?

however I now find that when I kneel on my right knee I get a needle like pain - similar to the feeling of a plaster being ripped off my knee on right side. I can run, jump etc but kneeling is excruciating. Can anyone advise if this is temporary - that some rest might fix or could I have damaged something requiring further investigation. Part of my knee is also numb since fall and have throbbing sensation but no swelling.

this hurt so bad...in fact I also had a bad sprain from that same fall....and I still have pain and tenderness in that ankle and I know I have scar tissue in my knee....this cold weather reminds me of it....

I took a fall in some ice this week and hurt my left knee. I'm a 49 year old male and already have moderate to severe OA in both knees and a previous MCL and medial meniscus tear in my right knee. It did not get any better after a day so I went to see my family doctor as my Orthopedic is out of the office for 2 weeks. He said there is a considerable fluid build up in the injured left knee and suspects at the least an MCL tear (it does feel exactly like my right knee when I tore that MCL).

you should find out exactly why it is you are experiencing pain at such a young age. If you are having pain after a hard jump or fall, chances are you tore something. Treat the short term symptoms, but also make sure you seek treatment for long term issues.

I second Sherry! Get it looked at, a lot of things can go wrong in a knee. I fell off a bicycle about 4 years ago directly on my kneecap as well. It turned out I just had some pitting type damage to the cushioning cartilage on the bone, but it hurt and popped for a long time after.

I tried to stop a fall and in doing so I twisted my left leg and got a severe pain in my lower cheek on my *** that went down to my knee. I saw black and starts for a brief second or two. It did cause me to cry. Now I have terrible aching in my cheek and it also goes to my knee. What can possibly be wrong. I hate to go to the doctor if all he's going yo do is prescribe pain killers and muscle relaxers. Not into meds.

well you knee pain can be a factor from playing soccer ....

Seemed pretty inoccuous, was a slow speed fall. Could be an issue related to severed nerves below my knee from a high tibial osteotamy. Will get it checked out anyway. Ta.
