Have been reading other's experiences of cold knees. Mine started with one knee and was kind of an odd sensation in the depth of the knee that kept me awake at night and could not be relieved with painkillers or external warmth like a sock over the knee. It has just got progressively worse over the years and now in two knees and more intense, can't sleep or go back to sleep when woken in the night from it.
But one day Ihave fallen on the floor when crossing the door step. My right Leg, near kneejoint is causing more pain. Ihave consulted Dr and was treated for it with injecting some fluids (3) weekly once. Now, even after two months also, only this leg is paining atthe same place. getting relief with naprosyn only. how many days I have to use this pain killer? what are the side effects? even though with this pain Iam attending all my duties.

ve had 3 hip implants and the pain from the hip causes pain ALL the way down my leg. If you stop and think about it your entire leg is connected to your knee and therefore it WILL affect your entire leg.

But, I got permanent swelling from last 3 weeks and pain also. Pain is in my lower and upper part of knee. I tried cooling and hot cycle belt of wrap but still pain exists. This all started from nov 07. I never had injury with my knees. Completed my blood test and routine check up in January 08 but everything is normal. I never had consultation with my knees.
m now 32). The pain started below my knee, and is now accompanied with pain shooting down my shin. It also now feels as if something from the top of my knee is pulling as well. I am hurting, and I don't know what else to do. I am also taking Naperson (sp?), which is not helping. I can't take anything more than that, because pain meds knock me on my butt & I don't want that. Please help with other suggestions while I await my doctors appointment.
Hello! I'm 14 and I've been having knee pain for 2 years. One doctor told me it's growing pains but I don't really believe it, becuase I don't grow much anymore. The second doctor told me it's because I don't have enough synovial fluid in my knee joints and he offered me injections. I don't know what to do. What if there's something else that causes this pain? I've also got knock knees. Can this be the problem? Please help me!

I am an athlete and I play basketball. I have extreme pain in my knee and calf while running. It also hurts to bend down and then stand back up. I also have discomfort walking up and down stairs, and sometimes walking. I don't know what it is but I would really appreciate some help and answers. Thanks.
Hi, I have pain in the tibia of my left leg, which I think is below the knee cap. The pain started when I was 18, after I got an injury during a basketball game. Now I'm 20 and I still feel the pain only when I engage in physical activity. What's wrong with me. Could these by osgood schlatters disease?

So i have been having some really bad knee pain for about 3 years i just had a baby and it hurts so bad when I'm carrying him up and down our stairs. he is only 4 months old, but it fills like my legs are going to buckle from underneath me. they usually always hurt but more when I'm walking up and down the stairs. at night i drench my knees in icy hot.
I appreciate your concerns about your grandmother and I agree that the pain needs to be investigated. Usually knee locking and pain after total knee replacement is due to formation of fibrous tissue around the patella. Rarely, it is due to blocked or pinched popliteal artery that runs along the back of knee.
Almost two years ago I suffered a nerve injury in my leg above the knee. (I listened to a fitness instructor who didn't know what he was doing and made us do these stretches that were painful in a bad way.) I went numb after that, and then had a little neuropathy and "electric pinches" all over my body. It's been a long road of pain, mystery and trying the wrong things.
I am a cheerleader and I have patella femoral syndrome and a bad case on tendonitis. After every competition and practice my knee swells up and turns purple. I have gotten x rays and nothing is wrong and i have seen 2 orthopedics. They said its one of the worst cases they have ever seen. I was just wondering if if I didn't take anytime off to rest my knee what's the worst possible thing that could happen?
6 weeks after the surgery I was still having the pain and discomfort behind my knee. I experience increased tightness and pain with exercise....the more I use it the less I am able to do. Even walking causes discomfort. I am not able to pick up my foot and move it back as if trying to touch my butt with my foot. I have a tight, full feeling and its painful. to sit for a period and then attempt to get up and walk is almost unheard of now.
