Avatar n tn With no other symptoms and only a history of Psoraisis, you go in the line of Psoriatic arthritis, mild arthritis, past knee injury etc till diagnosed. Take care!
Avatar f tn I'm considering Prolozone for knee OA and can't get off the fence, for fear it will not work for me......I did 2 series of dextrose Prolo in this knee and it didn't work.....PRP and Stem Cells are out of reach in my pocketbook. I do NOT want knee surgery of any kind.....

Avatar f tn I have been to alot of doctors and all of them say I have Arthritis. My rheumotologist was really funny. His comments were, if you are in pain SIT and when you feel good WALK. Actually that is what I do. I go in the pool 3X a week and stay at home the rest of the time. I am 73 years old and have had both knee's replaced. One knee still gives me pain and the dr says it's probably nerve damage and nothing can be done.

Avatar f tn I am 43 years old. I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus in 2003. Last year on Thanksgiving Day I stepped off my porch and hurt my knee again. After having a mri my dr said he couldnt see anything but the pain kept getting worse and decided to scope my knee. He discovered that I had no cartlige and it was completely eaten up with arthritis among other things. I was told I needed a knee replacement but didnt want to do it at my age.
98474 tn?1240105274 I had a mri here locally as my friend works for an ortho and scheduled one for me. The doctor here glanced at it for me without me being there just as a friend and he said I had at least one menicus tear. Since I have to wait a week to see the surgeon, I am wondering if this means surgery? I have degenerative j disease in it too. What criteria would they use to recommend replacement? I am not ready for this!
Avatar n tn The sulfasalzine will help her AS, but I am not aware of how it would benefit her knee. I suggest you ask for additional tests on her knee and leg. Is there any way you can get her in to see someone sooner? Do they understand that she is not getting better and cannot walk?
634733 tn?1316625992 There is no inflammation or swelling but there is pain in my one knee joint which I know comes from the arthritis as that is the knee on which I had the arthroscopy. But would arthritis cause stiffness too especially in thigh muscles? and one sided or could that be just because I know walk awkwardly? I know when I try to walk after a short time the opposite leg starts vibrating if I carry on both legs vibrate and I get pins and needles in my feet.
Avatar f tn I have been suffering from knee problems for years, i was very overweight and after x-rays was told it was severe deterioration and had no cartilage left but was too young to operate (36). Fast forward to a couple years later, i lost all the weight (150lbs) but knees are still painful in anything i do (if i go for a small walk, i’ll be ok but then my knees are so stiff i can’t go up the stairs when i get home).
1652468 tn?1302900498 I am looking for drug free alternatives to treat arthritis in my knee, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn There are so many different reasons that could be the cause of your knee pain. Arthritis, Ligament issues, Cartilage or Meniscus tears, Chondromalacia Patella (knee cap) Bursitis and the list goes on. I don't know your age but my first guess would be arthritis, especially because of the way you describe it. Often when arthritis begins it will be after you rest an fairly active knee. And yes you can have it in just one knee.
Avatar m tn I am sure there is a variation of the processes depending upon the individuals severity of the specific condition, There are treatments for knee pain that are very effective compared to when my knee pain originated, There are injections for treating arthritis of the knee that I could have had before my arthritis became so severe, I have pampered my knees for years. Started with knee cracking or crepitus when I was 21.
Avatar m tn t suggest arthritis to me, I have arthritis of the knee and I get pain in the knee, also in muscles that work the knee. I don't get numbness anywhere else. I'm not medically qualiified but a doctor should check this out, whatever it is you will be better off with treatment.
1961313 tn?1326290364 Pain on either sides of the knee is usually related to meniscal tears, injuries to the collateral ligaments, and even to arthritis. Pain in the back of the knee can be caused by arthritis or Bakers cysts (cystic accumulation of synovial fluid, also causes a swelling). So as you can see, arthritis can cause an overall knee pain. Ligament injury causes pain to worsen on walking, bending and stretching the knee.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm 20 years old and have been suffering from degenerative arthritis I my left knee due to injuries for quite some time now. I've had two major tear surgeries(acl and dual meniscus and mcl tears), it's been drained and I have gone through cortisone injections. Also according to a recent mri I have severe cartilage/bone loss. Now because if all this and the fact that I can't run, dance, our even walk without it giving out my dr wants me to get a knee replacement.
