Avatar f tn If you also suffer with reoccurring kidney pain whether you are passing stones or not...please respond as I am relieved to know I am not the only one. Beginning to think that I would never find someone that can identify with me. I would like to exchange information with another woman that has been experincing similiar symptoms. Thanks for your time in advance.
Avatar n tn I don't know if it's ever something that needs to be treated in a non pregnant woman. Maybe if it sort of took over? Just like yeast is also a normal inhabitant of the female genital tract, if there is an imbalance and it overtakes the normal flora, you get symptomatic. Maybe group B strep is the same.
Avatar n tn These foods are not promoted so much now and yet as a result, worlwide we are seeing large increases in kidney and gall bladder stones. Be careful if you are on medication as things such as Diabetes etc. can be affected in a negative way because of vinegar so seek medical advice but otherwise try it in moderation and you'll notice the difference.
Avatar f tn http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/kidney-stones/basics/risk-factors/con-20024829 This has helpful medical information that your doctor would be able to understand and discuss with you about more uncommon causes: http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/239278-overview. Its important to remember that kidney stones are not uncommon and are easily treatable if followed up on. The other conditions are clinically rare.
Avatar n tn He is 25 and last year began to have painful episodes with passing kidney stones. One stone had to be treated with shockwave lithroscopy. Scans indicate multiple, bilateral stones. Since that time, he has had gastric pain, nausea, flank pain, sleeplessness, etc. I had a parathyroid adenoma a couple of years ago myself, so I was familiar with the problems of high calcium and requested some tests. They have come back and shown a calcium level of 10.; 10.2 and 10.6. However, his PTH was 10.
Avatar f tn Im a 32 yo otherwise healthy woman with a history of kidney stones, kidney infections and uti's. Ive had stones since the age of 18 and up until about 4 years ago i would only get them once or twice a year and they were always small enough to pass. At 28 i had my first stone that needed lithotripsy. Since then they've become much more frequent. This last 10 mos it has been at its absolute worst though.
Avatar f tn I am a young woman that seems to tend to be prone to UTI's. I had one back in Late April and then again in July. Since the flare up in July, I have been taking a regimen of cranberry pills and juice and trying to follow all the advice usually given for UTI sufferers. However, while the antibiotic regimen I was given cleared up the persistent need to go and sharp pain.

Avatar f tn I have really bad kidney's as I had severe Lymes Disease in 2006 with slight kidney failure, and I also have a tendency for kidney stones while pregnant...so that didnt help either. I'm just glad the cyst has seemed to shrink or go away, it can no longer be seen or felt from the outside of my belly, which i'm very happy about!
1408746 tn?1283678948 I just want to warn all of the young woman who may be wrongly diagnosed to ask the doctors that if they are already going to do an MRI on the pelvic, then, to also include the kidneys to check for Nutcracker. I think it should be a standard procedure when a woman comes in complaining of chronic pelvic pain....
534546 tn?1225031575 As I stated yesterday I had mixed feelings, as seems to be normal for everyone. For now I'm going to count myself lucky. The gyn/onc's opinion is "less likely" to be cancer. Feels that based on size (small ... I guess size really is a relative thing as the gyno made it out to be HUGE), lack of symptoms, test results (u/s's and MRI), internal, history (even with direction link to ovca), etc. that removal of right ovary & tube would be a reasonable approach.
944643 tn?1418218022 But he doesn't want me taking it due to side effects such as thyroid and kidney problems. My mom had a kidney failure as a young woman, so I guess they are just hoping the same doesn't happen to me.
Avatar f tn I'm a 35 year old Female who went in for a CT scan for kidney stones (3rd time) Turns out I have a 3mm cyst on right ovary, 2mm on Liver and 1.7mm on Spleen. I can't get into my OBGYN until October. Some research I've done is scaring me into thinking I might have a later stage Ovarian Cancer. I've never had Cysts on any of the 3 mentioned before. I've had numerous CT scans over the years for Stones and Back.
Avatar f tn OK, now stones,,,are you sure you have none inside the kidney itself? How old are you? I had my first stones at 19, another at 24 but was 31 before my kidneys were full of the small calcifications. OK now Protein, I did show protein in my last pregnancy and and do now often. This can be associated with MSK, it can also be a sign of infection, however sometimes in pregnancy it can come from not eating enough complete proteins...
Avatar f tn now about three months ago i went to the hospital again for pain in my kidneys and was told i had kidney stones and have had them ever since and when i dont my kidneys still hurt and i feel nauseated i went back to my doctor again and asked how often i can get them and all she said was often and sent me for a ct.
Avatar f tn Its possible he has a medical problem such as kidney stones or bladder cancer, not necessarily adultery. He needs to have it checked asap! Also I would say he could very easily bust a vessel in there doing that to himself if conditions present themselves. He needs to quit that and get with you instead....
Avatar f tn Hi all, I have been lurking on these boards for a while, but didn't join until today. I am a young (20 year old) woman with a history of ovarian cysts. I was first diagnosed with a cyst 6 months ago and it was relatively small (3 or 4 cm). It went away eventually, without treatment. About 5 weeks ago, I started to feel the pain of a new cyst. I went to the ER because I was in severe pain and worried about appendicitis (I always get them on the right side).
Avatar f tn hi you might have ovarian cyst but make sure first i was told i have ovarian cyst but i found out today i have kidney stones and which makes me made cuz i have been taking birth control for that for over a year so be careful make sure you have the right diagnosis cuz i am only 15 and i didnt want to be taking birth control for nothing
7521891 tn?1391586367 I'm just at my wits end getting the run around from doctors, have been for years, just to have nothing work in their treatments. I guess I will start off with the basics. I am a young woman (closing in on 23), I have a four year old son whom I delivered naturally, with very minor complications (nothing I feel as relative). Before and during my pregnancy, I felt amazing.

1113762 tn?1266119076 he explained my pain like and amputee and the phantom pain they have where the amputation had occurred. He put this into example of my kidneys and all the stones my kidney had made and passed. He said the nerves in my kidneys were damaged from the stones and they were having pain even without passing a stone. He then put me on neurontin for the "nerve pain" and referred me to the pain clinic. There are 2 different pain clinics.
Avatar n tn Recently, I had a CT Scan for kidney stones and ovarian cysts were discovered. Lately I have had some pain during ovulation, but it's not too severe. I have never had any problems in that area, never had problems getting pregnant, etc. 2 weeks ago I saw my ob/gyn for my annual checkup and told him about the CT Scan. He sent me for an ultrasound and bloodwork. Here are the results of the ultrasound: Single sypoechoic lesion in the uterine body measuring 1.2 x 0.
Avatar f tn Hi I am curious if someone could help me. I have had Kidney stones for several years after my last baby pinched off my kidney. I have bilateral kidney infections that put me in the hospital several times a year. I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and now they are telling my my bladder is abnoramallly thick and is double in size. I have trouble uninating and really have swelling and discomfort. I was scheduled for a cystoscope tomm and the doctor called to cancel.
Avatar f tn I'm so tired I could cry, but I blame that on the pregnancy. I passed some kidney stones last week, so that was fun. Anyway, for me I guess this is good/normal range in respect to the upper limit of how my body is capable of feeling. You know, when you're already used to feeling like garbege...... Anyhow, I hope you are well (as well as could be expected). Have you gotten any of your consults scheduled yet? How about the mobility stuff?
