Last weekend I was rushed into a&e with renal colic and drs suspect kidney stones although through xray they were unable to see any. Kidney function is very good and there was blood in my urine.
Avatar n tn I have been reading many message boards and feel am self educated about kidney stones by my own body. Each kidney stone is unique in severity of pain. The bigger ones don't always have bigger pain. The largest I have passed was5 ml. I just dont know what to do anymore. Im tired of passing them, tired of being in pain, tired of missing work and could be in danger of loosing my job. The painkillers are great , but takes a day or so to get back into functioning mode after taking them.

But my problem is heavy pain in the kidneyes and my pain specialist has problem to find the right medicine to take care of that? We are not sure if the pain is nerve pain or caused by the MSK. Has anybody experience in this area?
Avatar n tn i am not sure if it is the pleurisy or not but i know a friend who said she has it and she is having to take steroids for hers and the pain is worse than kidney stones, ( which i have had) and labor pain.. yes i have been in labor and oh yes i have had spinals and epidurals in the past..several times but am not sure if that is related or not.. nor am i sure if this is pleurisy but i think you and I both need to probably ask our doctor.

I have been straining my urine during these episodes and I've yet to find a stone. I have had sediment with particles that look like sand along with what looks like skin/tissue fragments. I haven't noticed at what time the blood appears but I have passed several clots in the urine.

Sestamibi scans (2) show a type E or a Type C (right sided) parathyroid adenoma. I have been on periods of 50,000 Units of Vitamin D2 for weeks at a time (toxic side effects) and then off and retested. I cannot get the vitamin D higher than 26. My range is 6 to 26. PTH runs from 60 to 130. My ENDO and his collegue will not go out of the box....
