Avatar n tn I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this. I'm 21/F and have been aware of my stone issue since Jan 2010. At that point I found out I had a 2.5 CM stone in my left kidney, along with several 6-9mm stones. I had two laser lithotripsy procedures to have them removed, however, they realized my anatomy was different and they were unable to get the scope low enough in the kidney to retrieve the stones.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with kidney stones for the first time in 2006 when I was 16. I had one surgery in 2008 to break up the stones and was still in and out of the hospital up until last year for the kidney pain and the stones always showed up on x-rays. In November 2011 I went to get x-rays because I was having the pain again, and nothing showed up. I'm still having the same back pain frequently, probably once every 2 weeks.
Avatar m tn I hope you are all coping with your kidney stones...and now I have to drink for the diveticulois AS WELL as to prevent kidney stones. Cheers.
Avatar n tn Sounds to me like you had happen what happened to me after my galbladder removal. The doctors fail to tell you that 30% of the people who have their gllbladders removed eventually will have surgically induced Celiac Disease. You need to go on a gluten free-dairy free diet IMMEDIATELY! The gluten and casiene proteins in your food are not being digested by your intestines anymore, thus causing the horrible diarrhea problems.
Avatar m tn Every so often, I get a sharp, almost knife like stabbing feeling under my right ribs. I've speculated it's some gallbladder issue. Anyone out there with HCV have similar issues? symptoms? Anyone have insights into the risk of some form of cancer (bile duct, etc.) in association with HCV? My doc said he will arrange for a gallbladder scan once I'm done with treatment.
Avatar n tn I have been to a GYN, Urologists, primary care physicians, you name it I have seen them. I have had kidney stones removed, laproscopic surgery (nothing abnormal) and a cystopy (spelling). I was actually hoping that the Lap would indicate that they had found something wrong so they could fix it. My GYN seems to think our next step is to remove the uterus, I just don't see how this can help.
Avatar f tn I have a history of kidney stones going back 4 years now and since then I have microscopic blood in my urine. Saw a Urologist about it, he did urine tests also did cystoscopy and I even had xray and ct scan of my bladder and kidneys. Nothing is found ever. But why do I have the urge to go like a UTI? I mentioned is it overactive bladder, I am told no, no one ever brings up cystitis, which from what I have read, this sounds like it.
Avatar m tn Hi, Am worried abt my wife during her tests found TSH ultrasensitive - 7.268 uIU/mL, haemoglobin 10.80 g/dl, Cyst of size 4.7x3.2 cm at left ovary & a calculus of size 4.2mm is also seen at mid ole of left kidney. Am realy concern about my wife & for my first baby (7 weeks), please help me. Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!
Avatar f tn With my first pregnancy back in 95 I experienced a bladder infection, two huge bladder stones, three kidney stones, and a kidney infection that almost killed my son and I in my second trimester. Since that time I have been very careful about staying hydrated, exercising, and watching what I eat. I experienced more kidney stones/visual migraines with the rest of my pregnancies even with fluids, exercise, and a healthy diet.
Avatar f tn Hi. Almost two months ago I went to the dr with what I thought was kidney stones. They didn't find stones but rather a 3.2 cm complex cyst on my left ovary. I have had irregular periods (heavy and lasting a long time or two in a month or not at all) for over a year as well as "kidney" pain, legs aching so badly I can't sleep and painful, frequent urination. I thought all of these were kidney related. For the past month I have been scanned and examined...
Avatar n tn Fever and low back ache is usually seen in urinary tract infection, pyelonephritis, kidney stones etc.Dizziness can be due to panic attacks, anxiety, migraine attacks, vertigo ,heart related causes or central nervous infections. He needs a thorough check up by a physician. Investigations to rule out above mentioned causes may be needed. Self assurance and stress relievers like yoga and exercise may help. I do hope it helps. Take care and regards!
Avatar m tn Hello, Testicular pain can be due to injury, infection (Epididymitis or Orchitis) or inflammation, testicular torsion -- most common in young men between 10 and 20 years old, excessive bicycle riding, hernia or kidney or ureteric stones. Considering your symptoms epididymitis or orchitis need to be ruled out. Get an evaluation done from a urologist to confirm the diagnosis.

Avatar m tn Pain during ejaculation and urination can be due to pathological conditions like ureithritis, kidney stones and prostatitis. If the problem is severe it is best to contact a counselor or a doctor. I really hope it helps. Best wishes!
Avatar f tn I have had several activations and symptoms come right back full force. I have also had kidney stones and cysts on my kidneys and i swear its from EBV too. Fortunately the activations when caught early can be fairly well dealt with for me.
Avatar m tn I got cystoscopy done, no significant findings, also ultrasound scan for kidney stones, nothing found. Then i had ultrasound scan for testicles for epidymitis, nothing found. I asked my doctor to prescribe azithoromycin, after too much hesitant he prescribed it for 5 day course( 500mg 1st day, 250 mg for remaining 4 days). For my surprise, the pain after urination and lower stomach tightness got better, i am feeling much better now.
Avatar m tn No problem with erection or orgasm. I have a history of kidney stones but I don't think stones are the reason of obstruction as it feels if the stone is present there. what must be the reason?
Avatar f tn I'm scared because I get kidney stones all the time. Left kidney has been hurting but I don't want to go to the dr... I don't want to be given anything. Weird huh??!!
Avatar f tn I had previously been on B6 100 mg for abuot 3 weeks becuase i was told by my urologist this may help prevent more kidney stones. I went off those becuase i felt like it was keeping me up to much. The dr said that she thought it could be like w/d symptoms from the b6 or it could be another type of deficiency but did not think bugs at all. It came back I have iron deficency but no anemia and my b6 levels were normal but low normal.
753572 tn?1233872421 I have a history of ovarian cysts, kidney stones and high cholestrol...I have NO idea why since I am 110 lbs 5'3, 29 years old and eat VERY healthy, I walk every other day and do yoga, I cook low sodeum and low fat, we do not eat out much.... I went to the ER 2 times with this and they told me they could not find anything wrong with me, I have had ultra sounds and blood work....My daughters GI dr (yes shes having issues too but different) thinks I have ciliacs....
Avatar f tn now about three months ago i went to the hospital again for pain in my kidneys and was told i had kidney stones and have had them ever since and when i dont my kidneys still hurt and i feel nauseated i went back to my doctor again and asked how often i can get them and all she said was often and sent me for a ct.
Avatar f tn I also have had blood in my urine numerous times (three times visible to the eye, four times found in lab test), along with abdominal pain. Tests (sonogram, cystoscope?) show no signs of kidney stones, kidney damage, or bladder damage. GI doc found polyps in the cecum, evidence of GERD - diagnosed GERD, internal hemorrhoids, and IBS.
Avatar n tn Pressure symptoms can be due to deep vein thrombosis even at your age, especially since you have a family history. This could be a referred pain due to stones in kidney felt as a pressure, or a referred pain due to a nerve compression at the vertebral level or even a discomfort due to a muscle pull. Thyroid problems too can also cause pressure like symptoms in muscles (muscle aches) but it is usually more widespread. You are visibly distressed. Hence I suggest you consult your doctor soon.
Avatar m tn a little scary to see blood like that coming out of your penis, but it seemed to have relieved symptoms. I assume it is due to kidney stones, maybe most of the time, they are subclinical, i.e. doc cannot find any obvious problem. It is worrisome to not know what is going on, however, at the very worst, I would liken the pain to a bad sore throat, but very worrisom due to the stigma std's have (everyone assumes it is an std).
Avatar f tn Prior to this he was in decent health - had kidney stones off and on (still does). At 13 he had scoliosis but did martial arts and that straightened his back (he's a black belt but hasn't fully practiced in years (stopped a couple of years before the pain began). All docs say is to see a pain management specialist. He's on large doses of fentanyl, and MS Contin, and soma, plus lyrica. He's tried several other anti-depressants and pain meds in the past.
Avatar m tn Is anyone reading this? Anyway, yesterday I went to see a digestive specialist. They made me do an endoscopy, an ultrasound, and a stool sample. The endoscopy showed everything from the esophagus, stomach, pylorus, and duodenum looked "normal" EXCEPT for the "incisure" and "antrum" of the stomach which had "erythematous mucosa".
Avatar n tn Kidney diseases like kidney stones and infections of the urinary tract may also cause low back pain. Any other pain in the body i.e. shooting pain in the leg, some tingling sensation? How is your typical day like? Do you usually stay in one place, sit down a lot? Do you have some sports related activities which require bending or abrupt movements? Th pain in your scrotum has not recurred. Has the lump subsided?
Avatar f tn 7 - Kidneys appear 'bright' on ultrasound There are no clots in my Hematuria, and I have no history of kidney stones. I've been asked several times from many specialists if the blood is vaginal bleeding, but no, it most certainly is not. (I don't get my menstrual cycle for 3 months. And I'm sure any other woman can agree with me that the difference between hematuria and vaginal bleeding is easy to tell. I'll leave out the nasties.
