Avatar f tn I've been having a lot of pain on my right side, front, back and side and the pain takes my breath away. I had CT scans and ultra sound to determine if I had kidney stones. Then they sent me for x-rays with contrast and I was told I had a floating Kidney. The nurse for his office said there was nothing that I could do for the pain. "Just deal with it". Wow how can I when the pain takes my breath away and the pain is so bad that I have to lay down in bed until it goes away.
Avatar n tn I've been experiencing some symptoms which I believe point to gall stones but my latest symptoms are throwing me a bit and i want to avoid unnecessary gall bladder removal and as such would like opinions. History: I work permanent night shifts: About 6 months to a year ago i had a few episodes whereby I had acute upper central abdomen pain around 4am which disappeared in a space of seconds within 1h.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with MSK 10 years ago and after numerous procedures and ops have just had my left kidney removed due to infection. I Went for a check up today and have just found out my creatine levels are high and they are worried I may have an infection in my remaining kidney. I am at my wits end! ! am 37 yrs old and feel useless. I sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!! My doctor is less than supportive and my consultant is not much better.
Avatar f tn As you are complaining of discomfort in the kidney area for a couple of months and have to urinate more often and feel that you haven't emptied your bladder, could be a sign of a Urinary Tract Infection. If you have kidney stones moving - they can take months to come down if they are moving; you would experience pain in the kidney area, or have renal colic (like wind pains in the belly). As they come down they can scratch and aggravate the tubes and hence cause infections.
Avatar f tn I still have no other symptoms and feel fine. I wonder if I might have a kidney stone that has moved in to the ureter and lodged, and is perhaps small enough to not cause further discomfort. I think it's odd for just the leukocytes and no nitrates for this length of time. Please advise.
1963554 tn?1325451090 He said that his right kidney is destroyed and that his left kidney has about 25% left. He has a tumor within his bladder and his urine cannot pass thru which goes into his kidney and damages it. When we had Shaggy checked out in May our vet said that it's UTI...because I mentioned to him that he'd pee and then go to other spots and nothing comes out. So he was given anti-biotics. This went on for several months.
Avatar m tn Is there any way processes leading to Kidney Stones could create such a mass on ultrasound? I'm not necessarily seeking 'nice' explanations for these symptoms, feel free to tell me whatever you think is most likely to be true, even if it isn't great news.
Avatar f tn This is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with. My beloved Gypsy is dying of kidney failure. Gypsy is a Jack Russell Terrier and she turned 18...yes 18...on Christmas Day. It's just so hard to know when it is "time." I prayed and prayed that she would give us one final parting gift and die on her own in her sleep...but she is SUCH a fighter and refused to surrender to this thing.
1916673 tn?1420236870 Everything you have said about symptoms are connected with the kidney disease. The lumps could be cancerous, but I have to say they may not be, because old dogs get lumps just like old humans. Sometimes they are cancerous, sometimes not. In a way, these are secondary to the kidney disease, which needs to be the priority for now. I am always surprised when vets put dogs with CKF on dry dog food. This really is not good.
Avatar n tn Hello, My name is Gavin and I am from the UK. Six weeks ago, I started to get kidney and bladder pains. The kind when you know you have a stone (I have had one before) or perhaps an aggressive infection in that area.
Avatar n tn I had no other symptoms - but was eventually diagnosed with Stage 1C ovarian cancer - I'm 28 (in the uk too) at the moment. The symptoms you describe are symptoms of ovarian cancer, but they are symptoms of many other problems too. Having a large cyst can cause those problems and the vast majority of cysts are benign - especially in women our age group. Unluckily I was not in the vast majority - but it has been caught at a very early stage so for that I'm very thankful.
1216899 tn?1288573925 With all the sites out there that have info on Vitamin D, their just doesn't seem to be one that has all the symptoms that can accompany vitamin d deficiency. I'm going to list my symptoms, so that others may have some insight, in layman's terms. I hope anyone else with the deficiency would also post theirs.
Avatar n tn I had mine inserted this past Feb. I just started having the exact same symptoms. I am going to take a hpt. Let me know if you find out whats causing your problems.
171768 tn?1324233699 well i just got out of the hospital...AGAIN....they found 2 more kidney stones and pneumonia on top of it all!! Gracie is doing fine, which is great, but they put me on some VERY HIGH PRICED antibiotics that we can't afford AND pain killers, which i hate taking while carrying her!! so i go through this whole ordeal, get home having not slept in almost 48 hrs.
Avatar f tn I didn't have any digestive problems though. Maybe it's just kidney stones? So yeah, I was absolutely fine from August until the middle of December. I was zipping about and enjoying life, really appreciating health! Then in December I got the flu and it was normal flu for a week, then the flu symptoms subsided but the above symptoms started up again. Except no urine infection. I stayed in bed for 2 weeks and felt fine, so I went back to work after christmas and collapsed.

Avatar f tn I'm always shattered but can't sleep great bse everything aches......got depression, have a constant water infection, got kidney stones and have had kidney stones removed key hole surgery. My consultant has said that my parathyroid are not working as they should be but i don't no how bad it is...can some please help or explain to me. Two weeks ago my PTH level was 349 ( was 198 before Xmas) My calcium level is 2.74 ( should be between 2.20 - 2.60). my Phosphate is 0.
Avatar f tn Your levels and prior kidney stones would make this a relatively urgent case for parathyroid surgery (which should include checking all 4 glands during the operation).
Avatar f tn E trips for extreme abdominal pain which has since shown in a ultrasound as both kidneys diolated with the left being larger and has stagnent urine in, No kidney stones present in the kidneys so gotta have some dyd injected. My neurologist has just really upset me and said i cant get an appointment untill septemeber, and she said 'it's not a brain herniation' in a mannor which made me feel like i have no clue whats going on.
Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!
5559066 tn?1369870350 after getting out from ICU and I was in there for 3 days. I was feeling better. I didn't have any symptoms but when it hit the week mark they came back plus some ten fold. so ill and weak I couldn't get out of my bed. I had to send my son away to live with my sister because I could take care of him. I couldn't even wear clothes, I was covered head to toe in one big blister. couldn't sit, stand nothing.
Avatar f tn I have not had any dribbling discharge or cloudiness. I have had kidney stones in the past. It really only bothers me when I sit down. Just needed to know if I needed to get an std test for gonorrhea or ngu. Kind of confused because I thought they took almost 5 days for symptoms to develop. What should I do?
Avatar f tn The rest of the practice has doubts about the number of kidney stones that I have and the amount of pain meds, IV, zofron that I need on a monthly basis. He told me that they now will need proof of a stone through a cathader urine sample and/or and ultrasound to see the stones. If there is nothing there, they won't treat me. My problem is that most of my stones are very small and don't show up on the cat scans much less an ultrasound...
Avatar f tn Can anyone advise me what to do, I've seen several doctors and had a stack of tests, all they have found is osteoporosis (I'm young), tonnes of kidney stones, blood, protein and white cells almost continuously in my urine, hi cortisol, non specific signs of inflammation, low BP and skipped beats.
351404 tn?1299492730 If we take too much calcium, the kidneys may have a hard time getting rid of it (in order to maintain the blood calcium at approx. 10 mg/dl which is very important), which can cause kidney stones. If the kidneys are failing to get rid of all the calcium, it may gather up in the blood, which may cause high blood pressure and some say it may cause calcification in the arteries. That's the reason for an assumed increased risk of heart attacks.
Avatar f tn I had a leak in my intestines n I hv never felt anything like tht, plus there is so many other things u can get wit hvin crohns like gallstones n kidney stones x
Avatar f tn I have spent a lot of my adult like in pain, suffering from recurrent Kidney infections, I have had Kidney Stones twice and have been addmitted to hospital 5 times with infections. My duplex kidney is complete and I have 2 ureters from the left kidney into the bladder and this in itself causes a lot of my kidney infections. I also have an under-active thyriod, can anyone tell me if the hyperthyroidism is linked to the duplex kidney?????
Avatar n tn - however when the spasm strikes it is horrendous. The symptoms first struck during the night often around 4am while asleep.....i can assure you i was pretty soon wide awake. I have realized over the years that i dare not sleep on my right side or it is almost certain to strike. However, the problem occasionally occurs in the daytime, maybe every two or three months in the lower right bowl area and just inside of the crest of the hip - it truly is absolute agony!!!!!
