Avatar f tn I had kidney stones removed last night with a laser and had a stent put in . Is it normal to pee constantly? Avatar m tn Hello, Since the kindey stone is 7 mm, so the symptoms seem unrelated to the kidney stones. Since you are having pedal or leg edema, hence your cardiac, liver and kidney functions need to be assessed for which I suggest you to consult a physician immediately. Abdominal causes like irritable bowel syndrome can also cause such symptoms. Common symptoms include abdominal cramping or pain, bloating and gassiness, and altered bowel habits(alternate constipation and loose stools).
Avatar f tn Has anyone else experienced gross hematuria without any other symptoms and been diagnosed with Rhadbo or Kidney Stones?
Avatar m tn The symptoms that you are describing are basically those of a person with a 5 mm kidney stone. I've had many stones over the years and those are the symptoms that I have every time with smaller and larger stones, with the possible exception of a POSSIBLE bladder wall thickening and that certainly not a definite. Don't worry yourself to death about anything until you have this additional test done.
Avatar m tn I'm an idiot, the title is supposed to say Red Tissue in Urine

Avatar m tn If you feel colicky renal pain, you should do a renal color Doppler ultrasound to check your kidney and ureter to see if there is kidney stones or ureter stones, impaction of a stone at any of these sites causes severe pain, known as renal colic, usually felt in the abdomen or side, and often tracking down to the groin

Avatar f tn Drink plenty of water but if the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a urologist and get kidney stones ruled out by getting a CT KUB (kidney, urinary bladder). I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn Some of the substances in urine (uric acid and calcium) may crystallize and form kidney stones. Kidney stones may be as small as a grain of sand and may be smooth, round, jagged, spiky or asymmetrical. Most stones are yellow to brown in color, but variations in chemical composition can produce stones that are tan, gold or black. The smallest, smoothest stones may pass out of the body with little resistance and minimal discomfort. It is best to dIscuss this with your doctor.
Avatar f tn a kidney stone (though i NEVER saw anything in the toilet and when I started with the symptoms i kept watching for one!!) because they did not see any on the xrays or CT scan the only thing they could see was that my ureter was dialated (and said it could be from me passing a stone).........here it is two weeks later and i am still having pain in my back in the area of the kidney. Its not a constant pain either - it comes and goes and usually hurts the most if I sit up straight.
Avatar n tn When i did the symptom checker on WebMD, it says that i might have Gastro or a UTI. Avatar f tn I am new to kidney stones. I passed my first kidney stone about 2 months ago and I know I have two more. A 2mm on one side and a 4 on the other side. The first one I had happened at night, so I woke up in pain. I am just wondering is there symptoms you can feel when you are awake. Just 4 days ago, I had 4 very sharp pains in the right side my back over a 2 hour period. Today I am hit with a wave of nausea.
Avatar f tn s only considered pre-existing if you have been treated for an ongoing problem with your kidney. Individual kidney stones cannot be considered pre-existing. Get a ct scan from a doctor then talk to a urologist if it is a kidney stone. I was born with a condition that causes my body to create kidney stones. I have been to the emergency room 4 or 5 times in the past 18 years for the large stones, small ones pass ok.
Avatar n tn I had severe Kidney pain for 30hours, however the severe pain subsided and i had an x-ray which showed nothing unusual, i think i passed a stone in my urine without realising (as the pain decreased, rapidly after going to the toilet) However the next day i can still feel a pain in my kidney, but it is not as severe as before, and seems to occur mainly when i am lying down.

192055 tn?1263555537 4 months ago, I had severe pain in my midback for two weeks (Both L and R kidney). After I explained all the symptoms to my sister, she told me that it sounded like I have kidney stones which she has had before... also my mother, grandmother, and G grandmother, etc. I went to the hospital... urinalysis showed that I had level 1 blood in my urine (just a little blood). Doc ordered me a CT scan... scan was normal, no kidney stones.
Avatar n tn Calcifications in the kidney probably mean you have kidney stones. If the pelvic pain is not from an infection your Urologist will be able to evaluate you for Interstitial Cystitis. The typical symptoms are urinary frequency, urgency and pain related to bladder filling. At some point you will need a cystoscopy and hydrodistention to check for IC and rule out other problems related to the blood in the urine. Go to "ichelp.

Avatar f tn Hyperparathyroidism is the number one cause of kidney stones. Every person with a kidney stone should be tested for a problem with their parathyroid glands. Nearly half of all people with kidney stones have a parathyroid tumor in their neck that must be removed or the kidney stones will return.
Avatar f tn I have a male friend who's been dealin w/ kidney stones for about a year quite now. He's on medi-cal in CA & he's not gettin anywhere w/ doctor's. He's been waitin for 1 mo. now for a referral to see a specialist & in the mean time his symptoms seems to be gettin more serious.
Avatar f tn We did many tests and the findings were elevated urea and creatinine, elevated calcium and kidney and bladder stones. The vets disagree on her condition, one thinks that the seizures are caused by the kidneys and the other that the kidneys and the seizures are not related. So far she has not started antiepileptic medication. We changed her food to Hill's k/d and her blood tests are much improved. The stones also seem to reduce. However, the seizures insist and I am very worried.
