Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones symptoms toilet

Avatar m tn Hello, Since the kindey stone is 7 mm, so the symptoms seem unrelated to the kidney stones. Since you are having pedal or leg edema, hence your cardiac, liver and kidney functions need to be assessed for which I suggest you to consult a physician immediately. Abdominal causes like irritable bowel syndrome can also cause such symptoms. Common symptoms include abdominal cramping or pain, bloating and gassiness, and altered bowel habits(alternate constipation and loose stools).
Avatar n tn Since having kidney stones currently and knowing what they feel like not being pregnant, I can safely say that I have had stones at least 3 other times between the ages of 17 and 27 (pain at that time was diagnosed as most likely a cyst -- when pain was severe - shortly thereafter went away - they said cyst burst - i am confident that the pain was kidney stones). With that being said, I'm tired of getting the kidney stones (as well as the tiredness, soreness and moodiness).
Avatar f tn She was very sick just over a week before she was diagnosed, and they don't know if she was sick from the kidney stones,or if she had the stomach flu,and getting dehydrated caused the kidney stones. However she never really got too "dehydrated" when she was so sick. She did vomit alot, but was still having plenty of urine. So who knows. Any experience on how long these things take to pass? Thanks again.
Avatar n tn Weturner, there IS a connection between "bipolar" and kidney stones. His 'bipolar' symptoms and kidney stones are very possibly caused by the same thing. It is called Hyperparathyroidism. Most people have never heard of PARAthyroid glands. But we all have four of them. Please have your husband's parathyroid checked out by the best expert you can find. I was put on medications for years for mental things such as bipolar, I was also getting kidney stones a lot.
Avatar n tn but i sit here , on the toilet typing this , as for the last two days i have had horrific cramps and diahorra (sp) . Its heart warming to know that all my symptoms are of those relating to kidney stones .
Avatar n tn And about once a week, I have to pass a kidney stone, and its' extremely painful. The weird thing is that I don't get any of the symptoms of kidney stones, like nausea or extreme pain in my flank. The pain only occurs at the tip of my pee-tube when it's finally coming out. Okay, and that's just the kidney stone part - let me start on the constipation/metabolism parts: I'm always constipated, I go weeks without a bowel movement.
Avatar f tn It took a while but the pain I was having was finally diagnosed as a kidney stone and I have another symptomatic one in the other kidney. But I wonder if kidney stones cause anemia because I suddenly became anemic just over a year ago and we have not been able to find a cause. Although I had occult blood in my urine due to the stone, it was not a lot. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this too or if anyone might know if stones can cause anemia?
Avatar f tn They are all non obstructive and the Dr says my urinary frequency is not related to the stones since they are still in my kidney. I am still experiencing that "feeling" right at the tip of where I pee and over the last three days I could live on the toilet! I'm hoping to get back in with the urologist next week. I'm miserable. I will cry if she says it is not stone related. Has anyone else with stones had this feeling??
Avatar f tn I didn't have any problems for awhile, when I was around 15 I occasionally got some pain. I'm 95% sure I get kidney stones and it always seems to be on the right side. Or maybe it's something else with the exact symptoms of stones. I get that kind of pain about once a year. On a daily basis though, I have discomfort now. I just turned 21. It's been gradual and I only started to really think about it recently.
Avatar f tn I never had gall stones but with my first pregnancy i had kidney stones and had to have kidney surgery when i was 25weeks pregnant. That was horribly painful.
Avatar n tn 7) I know these symptoms started after oral sex but are my symptoms consistant with kidney stones?
Avatar m tn Hi, a while ago I had kidney stones, I was sent for a scan after, upon returning to my GP for the results of my test, he told me there were calcium deposits in my kidney that could mean I have another on the way, I've been trying to keep well hydrated and doing all I can to prevent a recurrence, because they're damn right evil, I've got away with it for quite a while now, last night I was woke up with the same pain I had when I had kidney stones, I sat on the toilet and waited for the pain so su
1068689 tn?1325830806 They could be dried blood (although I'm not a doctor .. just a member with a lot of kidney stones) or particles of kidney stones or small stones. Any time you have any symptoms as you describe, which can indicate a kidney stone (renal calculi), abdominal pain, hematuria (bleeding), etc. a doctor needs to be consulted. They can do an ultrasound, urinalysis and if needed a CT Scan without contrast. Keep us posted and feel better soon!
Avatar m tn So i was told I have two small kidney stones and have most likely recently passed a third. What kind of pain can I expect and is the pain I'm having normal? I've been having some pain in the lower stomach and right testicle when I wake up which usually goes away after I go to the bathroom. Then after being on my feet for 3-5 hours it starts again and gradually gets worse until I'm almost doubled over by the end of the day.
470425 tn?1246926200 I had surgery in 05, I had gallstones. If you have had gallstones, is there a greater risk of having kidney stones? Or vice versa?
Avatar f tn a kidney stone (though i NEVER saw anything in the toilet and when I started with the symptoms i kept watching for one!!) because they did not see any on the xrays or CT scan the only thing they could see was that my ureter was dialated (and said it could be from me passing a stone) it is two weeks later and i am still having pain in my back in the area of the kidney. Its not a constant pain either - it comes and goes and usually hurts the most if I sit up straight.
Avatar f tn I have an 18-year history with kidney stones with about 2 dozen episodes. The symptoms did not match the typical kidney stones, so I thought it was an infection that anti-biotics would cure. Still I drank lots of water trying to flush the system. My stream was getting gradually getting weaker with each urination. Finally, just after midnight, the stream was at a trickle, I could not sit there all night, so I gave a good push. Like a champagne cork, 2 stones shot out.
Avatar n tn For low back pain and abdominal pain, conditions like kidney infections, urinary tract stones, appendicitis, spine disorders have to be ruled out. Seek consult with your primary physician for a complete assessment and diagnostic tests.A warm compress over the area and OTC analgesics may be able to help temporarily. Do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I had severe Kidney pain for 30hours, however the severe pain subsided and i had an x-ray which showed nothing unusual, i think i passed a stone in my urine without realising (as the pain decreased, rapidly after going to the toilet) However the next day i can still feel a pain in my kidney, but it is not as severe as before, and seems to occur mainly when i am lying down.
Avatar m tn Also, on a couple occasions over the past week, I have noticed small amounts of blood in the toilet after I have finished urinating, and my urine has a slight cloudiness to it. If it is relevant at all (in case of possible kidney infection or something), I have had what I believe to be a minor sinus infection for quite some time that I have left untreated. I have been drinking plenty of water and added cranberry juice into my diet to see whether I could clear this up myself. No luck so far.
Avatar n tn Melamine can form crystals that can give rise to kidney stones. These crystals can also block small tubes in the kidney potentially stopping the production of urine, causing kidney failure. Some of the symptoms can be irritability, blood in urine, little or no urine, signs of kidney infection, high blood pressure.

Avatar f tn I still have no other symptoms and feel fine. I wonder if I might have a kidney stone that has moved in to the ureter and lodged, and is perhaps small enough to not cause further discomfort. I think it's odd for just the leukocytes and no nitrates for this length of time. Please advise.
1100598 tn?1413131026 Hello, For cloudy urine, the most common cause is stones in kidney which is blocking urine pathway. It can also be due to retention of urine anywhere in its flow due to obstruction. The obstruction can be due to abnormality of structures since birth, stones or diseases like tumors. So you should get done an ultrasound, CT scan and also urine examination and kidney function tests. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Avatar f tn This is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with. My beloved Gypsy is dying of kidney failure. Gypsy is a Jack Russell Terrier and she turned 18...yes 18...on Christmas Day. It's just so hard to know when it is "time." I prayed and prayed that she would give us one final parting gift and die on her own in her sleep...but she is SUCH a fighter and refused to surrender to this thing.
Avatar f tn Recently, on January 31st, 2012, I was having UTI symptoms. I was treated (based on my past complications with a Kidney Infection) to a 14 day treatment of Bactrim (800 mg). I was also given an intense shot of Rocephin at the time (1 Gram). I took the medication as instructed but problems persisted over the course of a month. On February 12th, I was hospitalized for two days for a very stubborn Kidney Infection. I was given fluids, IV, antibiotics, morphine.
