Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones symptoms remedy

Avatar m tn Hello, Once a kidney stone reaches the ureterovesical junction where the ureter drains into the bladder, patients often experience frequency, urgency, and burning with urination or dysuria. In such kind of stones a stent is placed from above by a percutaneous procedure or cystoscopically. It is called double J stenting. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn I have been reading many message boards and feel am self educated about kidney stones by my own body. Each kidney stone is unique in severity of pain. The bigger ones don't always have bigger pain. The largest I have passed was5 ml. I just dont know what to do anymore. Im tired of passing them, tired of being in pain, tired of missing work and could be in danger of loosing my job. The painkillers are great , but takes a day or so to get back into functioning mode after taking them.
Avatar n tn no AFIB since but plagued with PVCs ever since. Just had another 24 hr. holter, echo, etc., and all normal except showed 4,000+ PVCs - benign. So heart in good shape. I exercise daily, am 6'4" - 180 lbs., 52 yrs. old and am on Flecinade and a beta blocker. PVCs just seem to keep gradually getting worse(they're bad for a few weeks, not so bad for a few weeks, etc.) and now they're affecting my sleep and exercising (which really tees me off!).
Avatar n tn I've been experiencing some symptoms which I believe point to gall stones but my latest symptoms are throwing me a bit and i want to avoid unnecessary gall bladder removal and as such would like opinions. History: I work permanent night shifts: About 6 months to a year ago i had a few episodes whereby I had acute upper central abdomen pain around 4am which disappeared in a space of seconds within 1h.
Avatar m tn Where is the location of the pain and what other symptoms are present? Kidney stones can indeed be very painful especially when a stone passes through the urinary tract and outside the body. The pain can be felt in the flanks, lower abdomen and groin. However, referred pain, infection and bleeding as cause of the pain should be ruled out also since none of the affected organs in the urinary tract are involved during sexual contact. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn For low back pain and abdominal pain, conditions like kidney infections, urinary tract stones, appendicitis, spine disorders have to be ruled out. Seek consult with your primary physician for a complete assessment and diagnostic tests.A warm compress over the area and OTC analgesics may be able to help temporarily. Do keep us posted.
140029 tn?1393301742 My doctor did tests, and a ultra sound, and said there were 2 very small stones there which were probably the cause of my symptoms. I decided to wait awhile before going back to my doctor, as he suggested if it became a problem, I would be better off having my gallbladder out. What do you think? I heard there was a home remedy that may fix the problem? Does anyone know what that is please. I would appreciate any help or advise.
Avatar n tn If you didn't have the spine imaged, you should talk to your doc as MS can show up there too. Hypothyroidism can certainly be a cause of your symptoms. Once treated adequately, your symptoms may improve. Another test that may be helpful is an EMG to see if this a problem of your peripheral nerves. Laboratory workup such as ANA, sed rate, blood count and electrolye profile can also help rule out other potential problems such as lupus and other rheumatological disorders.
Avatar f tn This is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with. My beloved Gypsy is dying of kidney failure. Gypsy is a Jack Russell Terrier and she turned 18...yes 18...on Christmas Day. It's just so hard to know when it is "time." I prayed and prayed that she would give us one final parting gift and die on her own in her sleep...but she is SUCH a fighter and refused to surrender to this thing.
1916673 tn?1420236870 Everything you have said about symptoms are connected with the kidney disease. The lumps could be cancerous, but I have to say they may not be, because old dogs get lumps just like old humans. Sometimes they are cancerous, sometimes not. In a way, these are secondary to the kidney disease, which needs to be the priority for now. I am always surprised when vets put dogs with CKF on dry dog food. This really is not good.
969276 tn?1257886004 Its great LOL Dizziness, physical exercision like walking up 5 steps gives me a headrush. Vertigo, though only when I am laying down, dont know if thats truly vertigo. *Kidney stones (5 at once, and kidneys full of 'sand') no prior problems with kidneys, no family history, healthy diet and exercise. Constant headache, dull, throbbing pain that worsens when I cough, bend down, put my head down, etc.
Avatar m tn So according to test results, I have no kidney infection and no kidney stones because according to my doctor, kidney stones will show some trace of blood in my detailed urine exam. Also note that during the episode of my back/kidney ache, my chest pain was very little to almost gone. Although they came back a little bit but not to the point that i would go crazy.
Avatar f tn I know I've flushed out kidney stones. I've figured out that the cause of my kidney stones is high fructose corn syrup in some of my favorite foods like fig bars which I've given up. I would not be surprised if that had something to do with my gall stones.
Avatar n tn Pain and discomfort on the lower left side of abdomen just below and to the left of navel can be due to several causes such as Crohn’s disease, colitis, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, kidney stones, adhesions, polycystic ovary in females, IBS, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle. Since you do not have a lump or a tender hot spot, in all probability it is not a muscle.
Avatar n tn I'm having withdrawal symptoms I didn't expect. Light headedness, the runs, blood pressure going up, and general fatigue. Lots of fatigue. And some irritability. I am hoping that these symptoms begin to decrease soon. Well, they have gotten better than it was in the first 2 days. I am still wondering how long I can expect to have these side effects of withdrawal?
Avatar n tn I have been to a GYN, Urologists, primary care physicians, you name it I have seen them. I have had kidney stones removed, laproscopic surgery (nothing abnormal) and a cystopy (spelling). I was actually hoping that the Lap would indicate that they had found something wrong so they could fix it. My GYN seems to think our next step is to remove the uterus, I just don't see how this can help.

Avatar f tn I went to the doctor and he sent me to a urologist. He said that I had kidney stones. But they were still in my kidney and they don't hurt while in the kidney. He did many cat scans, xrays, and a 24 hour urine test. NOTHING was wrong except small stones still inside the kidney. Now the pain comes every day it hurts so bad I can barely breath or eat. Sometimes it feels as if it is reaching my side but then goes back to my back.
Avatar f tn I have a history of kidney stones going back 4 years now and since then I have microscopic blood in my urine. Saw a Urologist about it, he did urine tests also did cystoscopy and I even had xray and ct scan of my bladder and kidneys. Nothing is found ever. But why do I have the urge to go like a UTI? I mentioned is it overactive bladder, I am told no, no one ever brings up cystitis, which from what I have read, this sounds like it.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the forum.....DON'T assume anything! What your describing is NOT symptoms of Kidney Failure......I've never heard of a Kidney Failure dog having Pink urine! Trust me, we have many, many threads on this forum about Kidney Failure.....Hundreds & hundreds of posts! Yes, Pink urine (Blood) is either a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) or possible stones....Both of these are VERY painful, I might add..... A urine test is the least expensive of all....
Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!
Avatar n tn I am having a problem of kidney stones kindly tell me solution. Avatar n tn I have a burning sensation and the tendency of recurrent urination since 7 days--I am taking pruliflocacin since 2 days--according to ultrasound I have cystitis+prosatitis and I have only left kidney by birth. The urine RE tests shows no calcium oxalate cells-- So pl give the remedy.
Avatar f tn You may have something else instead of an infection. Kidney stones can cause the same kinds of symptoms, as can other problems anywhere in the urinary tract including the kidneys. Please don't wait any longer and just make that appointment with your doctor!
Avatar m tn Hello, From your symptoms it looks like overflow incontinence. It is when you dribble for some time after you have passed urine. Weak bladder muscles, resulting in incomplete emptying of the bladder or a blocked urethra can cause this type of incontinence. Other reasons are diabetes, multiple sclerosis, tumors and kidney stones, spinal cord and neurological causes or prostatic infections or hyperplasia. My advice would be to consult a urologist.
Avatar m tn Some medications can also cause urine to be cloudy as can pregnancy or diabetes. Kidney Stones can also cause cloudy urine but believe me if you had stones you would certainly know it. There are extremely painful. I urge you to consult your medical provider. If you are a male, have cloudy urine more than once or other SX (symptoms) you should be checked for a UTI or other conditions that may cause cloudy urine. Actually this applies to females also.
Avatar f tn I have had a kidney stone and passed sandy deposits, but I must say that it didn't give any sensation of tingling when passing urine. Passing a stone is very excruciatingly painful. Passing sediment gives no symptoms. Painful sides can be kidney pain, but a urine sample would detect an infection. Painful sides may also be from muscular problems. You can urinate into a clean glass jar and look at your urine. A cloudy urine can indicate that there is an infection.
Avatar n tn I had a similar, if not the same, pain during the time I was having a series of kidney stones from age 19-22 (see below). At that time the pain was higher during times of kidney stones. After seeing 6 different urologists I was told to simply ‘live healthier.’ I started up a vigorous workout routine, diet and drank a gallon or more of water a day. From that time up until the emergence of this pain in March of 2011 I was pain free and kidney stone free.
Avatar f tn With regard to the pains that you explain that was in your back and side and front area under the rib cage, has anyone considered kidney problem and kidney stones? Just a thought. As well as having a liver and a gall bladder on the right hand side, we also have a kidney on each side just under the rib cage at the back. It will depend which kidney is the one that is not well or has the stones, to which side you will feel any pain.
211940 tn?1267884866 I have had kidney stones, in the past, but that was several years ago. Normally, when I get the UTI "symptoms", I take some cranberry pills, and drink lots of water. This usually clears it up, if not that same day, in a day or two. I normally take, cranberry pills, every day, as part of my regiment of keeping UTI's away. However, I have had the UTI "symptoms", this time, for almost 3 weeks now.
