Avatar f tn I have had over 60 kidney stones and unfortunately this is the way it works - if you go to a doctor complaining of the pain, they set you up for an ultrasound or ct scan, etc. A lot of times you have to wait weeks or months for that test depending on the insurance, etc. Meanwhile you are in a ton of pain and if you DO happen to pass a stone before the test you may never know.
Avatar n tn For low back pain and abdominal pain, conditions like kidney infections, urinary tract stones, appendicitis, spine disorders have to be ruled out. Seek consult with your primary physician for a complete assessment and diagnostic tests.A warm compress over the area and OTC analgesics may be able to help temporarily. Do keep us posted.

Avatar f tn This is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with. My beloved Gypsy is dying of kidney failure. Gypsy is a Jack Russell Terrier and she turned 18...yes 18...on Christmas Day. It's just so hard to know when it is "time." I prayed and prayed that she would give us one final parting gift and die on her own in her sleep...but she is SUCH a fighter and refused to surrender to this thing.
Avatar m tn So according to test results, I have no kidney infection and no kidney stones because according to my doctor, kidney stones will show some trace of blood in my detailed urine exam. Also note that during the episode of my back/kidney ache, my chest pain was very little to almost gone. Although they came back a little bit but not to the point that i would go crazy.
1216899 tn?1288573925 With all the sites out there that have info on Vitamin D, their just doesn't seem to be one that has all the symptoms that can accompany vitamin d deficiency. I'm going to list my symptoms, so that others may have some insight, in layman's terms. I hope anyone else with the deficiency would also post theirs.
Avatar n tn I'm having withdrawal symptoms I didn't expect. Light headedness, the runs, blood pressure going up, and general fatigue. Lots of fatigue. And some irritability. I am hoping that these symptoms begin to decrease soon. Well, they have gotten better than it was in the first 2 days. I am still wondering how long I can expect to have these side effects of withdrawal?

Avatar n tn Karen: I had similar symptoms (but no blood). I had some knowledge abt the symptoms of GERD & Barrett's Esophagus. The pains I had (shoulder (front and back), under my arm, under the sternum, and across back was GERD pain. I furst went to a heart specialist for tests. They were negative. Then, I went to a Gastroenterologist and confirmed i have Barrett's Esophagus. Yes, I would go to a Gastroentologist.
Avatar f tn I have a history of kidney stones going back 4 years now and since then I have microscopic blood in my urine. Saw a Urologist about it, he did urine tests also did cystoscopy and I even had xray and ct scan of my bladder and kidneys. Nothing is found ever. But why do I have the urge to go like a UTI? I mentioned is it overactive bladder, I am told no, no one ever brings up cystitis, which from what I have read, this sounds like it.
Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!
519035 tn?1348279373 I've had night sweats since at least kindergarten, but if they are something new for you, you might want to check with your ob/gyn doctor about them. You might also want to try some natural remedies for depression. In addition to magnesium, there is Naturemade brand sam-E and flaxseed oil or fish oil capsules. Other food that can help with mood are freshwater fish, walnuts, macadamia nuts, pumpkin seeds, etc..
Avatar f tn I have had several activations and symptoms come right back full force. I have also had kidney stones and cysts on my kidneys and i swear its from EBV too. Fortunately the activations when caught early can be fairly well dealt with for me.
Avatar m tn My husband has been seeing a urologist. They have not found anything. They have giving him medication for urinary and bladder infections, kidneys and prostate. The only condition he has is blood pressure. His parents have diabetes. He has had sonograms, and prostate exams and nothing has been found. The only thing that makes it a little better is motrin. I think I will seek a different urologist. right now I am trying natural remedies.
667008 tn?1231130069 But if you do want to learn about natural remedies for anxiety find out about them on any reputable site and post about the ones you think are worth trying in the expert forum as regarding kidney toxicity to get an accurate answer. Natural remedies have been discussed here within reason. Just don't abandon the whole medical system because of what you see as unethical in the pharmaceutical industry. They are developing a product. Psychiatrists are helping people to recover.
Avatar f tn See the urologist -- this is what they specialize in. Are you sure you still have an infection, did the doctor tell you that, or are you assuming that because you still have discomfort? One factor to consider is that antibiotics might get rid of the infection but it will come right back as soon as you stop because the very organisms that protect you from infections in that area are killed off by the antibiotic as well.
Avatar m tn I do not take vitamin supplements or other natural remedies often. I rarely take over the counter medicines except for occasional headaches or allergy flare ups. My alcohol intake is 2-3 drinks a week, if at all. I am a non-smoker. As to the exact location of the pressure/dull ache; it is located just above the front point of the right hipbone area and sometimes radiates outward into my side and interior hipbone (inside the curvature).
Avatar f tn Thank you for the information. I've never heard of this. Does it involve surgery, and is it available in the UK? I've had a lot of bowel tests and have a fair amount of adhesions, plus a rectal/vaginal seal. I've been left to get on with using senna, but sometimes even the large amount I use don't work and I'm getting quite depressed by the whole thing.
4801019 tn?1359349012 Hello, my name is Chris & I\'m a healthy 28yr. old male dealing with what I believe is a Bladder Infection. So this all started off like a month & a half ago. I was peeing a lot, burning when I peed, no discharge, lower back pain, lower abdomen pain & also a itch inside the penis. My family doctor did a urine sample on me & he said the sample came back with a bit of an infection, so he gave me a antibiotic called Bactrim, & said to take it for five days.
447063 tn?1316564530 I just want pain to go away. Please anyone? Could it be bladder, kidney stones? I have tried all types of stomach medicine and natural remedies and nothing has worked. This discussion is related to RED PALMS.
Avatar f tn I also have had blood in my urine numerous times (three times visible to the eye, four times found in lab test), along with abdominal pain. Tests (sonogram, cystoscope?) show no signs of kidney stones, kidney damage, or bladder damage. GI doc found polyps in the cecum, evidence of GERD - diagnosed GERD, internal hemorrhoids, and IBS.
Avatar m tn Which is a natural and practical way to deal with the symptoms of the flue. I know about orange juice any others???
Avatar f tn Sorry about the spelling, last comment was meant to be " when you were young "
Avatar f tn Dripping would mean that you bladder is not being emptied properly, either due to a problem in the bladder, kidney stones, or an enlarged prostate gland. Although you can not see any blood in the urine, does not mean that there is no blood in there. A urine sample sent to the laboratory for analysis would show whether there was any blood in the urine. The doctor can also do a urine dip stick at the surgery appointment and this would show if you had any blood and any infections in the urine.
Avatar n tn I am a 25 year old female. I have been having right side abdominal pain for about 1-2 months. It just recently got bad a few weeks ago when I ate out with my boyfriend. Immediately after eating chicken wings I was doubled over in pain. I didn't go to the hospital, and the pain eventually went away. The following days I noticed the pain was there in a constant form. It wasn't as bad as the attack I had, but it hurt. This past Monday I saw my doctor about the pain.
Avatar n tn I don't have gout, what they are more concerned about is my developing kidney stones. Only thing I could find was cherries. Are there any other foods that help? Raised uric acid, above normal levels, is known as hyperuricemia. While uric acid is actually a waste product left over from metabolism of chemical compounds called purines, it can also be found in some foods and alcohol.
Avatar f tn (I used to get 10 every other month for the really bad pain. I have a kidney disease that cause me to pass stones every week.) The nurse looked shocked but I felt liberated. I thought I was addicted to the meds mentally but I realized that yes my body is addicted to it but my mind is not. Because anyone that is addicted to it mentally would have taken the prescriptions and run. My mother has been addicted to pain meds for 20 years. It caused our family a lot of grief.
Avatar n tn It turned out to be a kidney infection, but it continued with symptoms, but no infection was found later. Then pain in the lower abdoman started.
