1115860 tn?1258862481 I am very scared to even go under...I may not wake up. The laxatives ahave caused the stones, I know and my ED. It is very scary. I have just startred peeing some blood, so I too am wondering about kidney disease. I do not want to go on dialysis...it's not a pretty picture. Kidneys are very important, I know, but all of this doesn't even want me to stop my disorder..I am very scared, but when I get bloated, I need to fix it. I too get nauseus alot and very very bloated. Like today!
Avatar f tn I have a damaged kidney from years ago, and when I get dehydrated, I get little tiny kidney stones that it takes a while to clear. Again, mine is an usual situation, but I did get some small kidney stones while on Diflucan (a rather high dose for several months, which is unusual) and it has taken a while for them to clear. So I think most people would not get that problem, and it's because of my damaged kidney.
Avatar f tn Cold like symptoms? etc? If it is kidney stones any explanation to why the pain is only so bad at night and just dull aches off and on during the day? Would kidney stones have shown up on the MRI?
Avatar n tn Hello, Testicular pain can be due to injury, infection (Epididymitis or Orchitis) or inflammation, testicular torsion( most common in young men), excessive bicycle riding, hernia, varicocele or kidney or ureteric stones. As there is a swelling or inflammation of the scrotal sacs, so the chances of epidiymitis or orchitis are there. In cases of hernia, a prominent bulge along with testicular pain is there and in cases of kidney or ureteric stones, pain during micturition may also be there.
Avatar f tn I'm a paramedic and for many years I also had worsening symptoms that I initially attributed to aging, working full-time, and being a Mom. It took 7 kidney stones, a gall bladder surgery, and a thorough Naturopath to figure out the complete picture of what was going on. Turns out I had a parathyroid tumor, Hep C from a dirty needle stick, low vitamin D, a wheat gluten sensitivity, and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. (I have not liked my 40's much!
Avatar n tn Kidney stones can be very painful. If he has a history of stones on an ultrasound in the past, these symptoms are consistent. The pain is severe and it comes and goes. It is a "crampy" pain sometimes associated with nausea/vomiting. Usually there is no pain during urination, unless there is also infection. A cat scan is the best test to determine if his kidney stones are causing a blockage of urine on that side and whether an intervention is necessary.
Avatar n tn There are several things that could be responsible for your pain. The obvious given what you stated .... moving Kidney Stones! However if it is Kidney Stones be prepared for that pain to become extreme and possible send you to seek immediate medical attention. It's been several days since you posted how are you doing today? Again if it a kidney stone the pain can wax and wain as the stone moves and then can stop. If it's a very tiny stone, gravel..
Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!
Avatar n tn I am dealing with a diagnosis of MSK since December when I went into the ED via ambulance passing kidney stones! Yikes! Then I'm told that I have MSK?? I am a healthcare professional, and had never heard of this diagnosis. It does answer many issues I have had over the years. I'm dealing with chronic symptoms such as flank pain, bloating, and groin pain.
Avatar n tn This sounds like something that should be directed to the MSK (Medulary Sponge Kidney). This condition is fairly common, onset typically 30-40, and kidney stones and UTIs are symptoms. I'll contact admin to switch this post over to that community, you will get an answer from someone soon, they you'll be able to find out more information and see if your symptoms fit this condition. Hang in there, answers are on the way!
Avatar f tn My husband who is 66 and in good health has had significant ED and urinary symptoms for a couple of years. He did not seek help except for 18 months ago when it seemed he was passing kidney stones for the first time and we went to the ER and he was treated for that. He had a short term prescription for Flomax which helped him, but he did not pursue further diagnosis or treatment.
Avatar m tn Its also possible you had an ovarian cyst that was missed. It's also possible a kidney stone could be missed. Not all stones show up on an Xray and sometimes the amount of blood in the urine goes unseen. If the pain is excruciatingly bad go back to your dr or even to the ER depending on how painful it is. Also if you spike a fever get back to the dr as that could be a sign you have an infection.
Avatar n tn I had another xray done a week or more later , and the thing that was in my kidney was gone. The symptoms went away all together. Now here it is a couple weeks later and my symptoms of the bladder pressure and urgency to urinate have returned. I do not have blood in my urine this time and do have the signs of a UTI in my urine at this time. At night the pressure and feeling that I have to urinate is so irritating! It makes it very hard to sleep. Anyone know what this could be?
Avatar m tn Have you had your kidneys, ureter, bladder and urethra checked for kidney stones? When a kidney stone moves, it can cause lots of problems and quite a few of the symptoms that you mentioned. It can make you feel nauseas, make you pass green gunge and sometimes blood, give you the chills, back ache can come and go as well as belly pains, groin and flank pain that can come and go. Twitching can be a symptom of some mineral deficiency.
Avatar m tn Urologists analysed me after that episode and found no bladder tumours, no infection and no kidney stones. I have not had a repeat of blood in my urine since stopping the ritalin. Please help I am really devastated. .
Avatar f tn collagenous colitis (have a regular gasto doc)' many kidney stones since birth of the first of my three children (possible link to parathyroid which regulates calciuum..?)..all my stones are calcium oxylate..six small stones are currently in my left kidney....go to Urologist every 6 months, undergo a KUB each time to monitor position etc. of stones---and undergoing lithrotripsies from time to time.
Avatar m tn I get a CT Scan every 6 months and have 4 stones in left kidney and 2 in right kidney. Please read my post about kidney stones (says something like Kidney Stone & this is my story) cause I need someone to talk too or someone that is or has gone through all this agony. You will understand if you go to my post. Thanks for listening/reading. I have been through several urologist & they just don't know.
Avatar f tn kidney stones; frequent nausea; uncontrolled projectile vomiting after meals (not self-induced purging, stomach will no longer accept food); hepatic problems (liver); memory loss; perforation of the stomach due to purging; tearing your esophagus (throat); choking or inhaling vomit during purging; coma; brain damage due to coma, electrolyte imbalance, etc.
Avatar n tn Tests showed high choles terol and stones in gallbladder. BUT my symptoms are not indicitive of stones. Classic symptoms of stones are severe pain attacks. We all could have TROUBLED GALLBLADDERS. I'am probably the most skeptical person in the world, I need proof but I have found help with natural herbs and at home procedures! Like I said I'am a non- believer, or at least I used to be! Please try http://www.onelist.
Avatar n tn Hello, Do not believe the comment that erectile dysfunction & impotence can not occur thru a ureteral stent.! I was a 38 year old pretty healthy male with a satisfactory sex life,no ED nor impotence. I had kidney stones in Nov.06 & a ureteral stent implanted for less than a week by a urologist in the hospital. I was under severe pain in the hospital & under heavy medication.
Avatar m tn I had elevated white blood cell count, liver enzyme elevated, kidney stones (2) passing, gallstones, and UTI. I have a colonoscopy scheduled, but am terrified I have cancer...could this be Crohn's. are related?
Avatar m tn Hi ED34, thank you so much for trying to help me, I apoligize if anything I say below is confusing or lacks details so please let me know if you want clarifications or more information. Again, thanks a lot. "Doesn't sound heart related" Good to hear that from someone I haven't grown great mistrust in lol, but what do you think the pain in left side of chest is if not my heart? I also felt sharp pains there when pulling a knob in shower.
Avatar f tn i began taking percocet about 2 years ago to help with kidney stones and endometriosis pain. 1 to 4 percs a day as needed. after sometime the percs were not helping so i asked my dr for something else. He gave me 10mg oxycotin. i had the script filled 3 times, once for surgery. when i was done with the oxycotin. I went through severe withdrawal, started with depression and quickly progressed into my worst nightmare.
Avatar m tn If there is too much calcium in the kidneys and not enough magnesium to dissolve it, you can get kidney stones.” *** It’s insulin—not cholesterol you should watch like a hawk: http://www.medhelp.org/tags/health_page/32718/complementary-medicine/Its-insulinnot-cholesterol-you-should-watch-like-a-hawk-?
Avatar f tn IBS and bursitis in most my major joints.
