Avatar f tn My last period was December 4th. Unfortunately, the week after, I developed kidney stones. Worst pain ever. My last stone passed shortly before Christmas. I have felt fine since then, except for the fact that my pee still isn't normal. It's very cloudy and smelly, and the doctor said it shows a lot of white blood cells. It has now been about a month since my last stone passed, my doctor said my pee should be normal by now.
Avatar n tn Hi, kidney stone pain and discomfort leads to significant mental stress causing dip in libido. Although stones are not directly related with loss of erections but indirectly mental anguish and depression leads to loss of libido which is a temporary phase. Try anti inflammatory drugs like diclofenac, ibuprofen for pain and take plenty of fluids.Do consult doctor if symptoms persists.
Avatar f tn I am so tired of the tummy trouble, that is causing me more discomfort than the actual kidney pain. Can kidney stones cause diarrhea? Even if they are not the most painful stones I've had?
Avatar n tn Has anyone who has suffered from kidney stones/kidney infections had any trouble with their periods? I had a long, painful period for three weeks and then the following month my period only lasted for two days but I still had a lot of pain - I was told that I could possibly have kidney stones as I had a urine infection and the pain could be linked to this.
192055 tn?1263559137 Hi, Kidney stones may be due to dehydration, diet, chronic stress, genetics, and even cadmium poisoning. If one parent had kidney stones, there is an increased risk in his or her children.Kidney stones tend to be recurring, typically reforming within seven years. In serious cases of kidney stones an ultrasound that breaks down the stones may be advised. I hope this helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn I suffer from what is called Polycystic Kidney Disease (google it) which causes chronic kidney stones. Many people have this disease with no signs until they are much olde. When their kidneys begin to fail them. Diarrhea is related because when the stone is stuck in the ureter ( the tube leading down to your bladder from your kidney) this sends a message to your entire digestive tract to stop.
Avatar f tn Before you assume your kidney stone production is based on a magnesium deficiency, you need to have your labs and stone analized. An IVP of your kidney will help determine if you don't have a "sponge kidney".Medullary Sponge kidney is an anatomical defect in the kidney which produces multiple kidney stones within pockets of the kidneys. No amount of Magnesium will resolve that. So I wouldn't go messing with your chemistry until you know why.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone... Okay,so for the 7th time this year I have kidney stones again - I am a 20yr old female (and I live a healthy life) ... Doc put a stent in my right ureter cause my kidney is PACKED with stones! I had a UTI but that was treated in hospital when the stent was inserted... I am battling with my period, its like it just ran away or something... Can it just disappear? Like for 2months or longer?
Avatar f tn calcium oxalate stones, struvite stones, uric acid stones or cystine stones. Potassium citrate is used for the treatment of stones. I would suggest you to get an evaluation done from a urologist to determine the type of stone. Treatment modes include Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithrotripsy (ESWL), uteroscopic stone removal and percutaneoud nephrolithotomy. Then you can go in for hysterectomy uterus also. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn Now, I am having bad kidney pain again and my doctor found 7 small stones in my left kidney, and 2 in my right. But no signs of any of them passing. It's been months with on and off pain. From mild to severe all in my left kidney. Of course my doc said the stones that are just sitting in my kidney can't be causing this pain. I feel like he has to be wrong!!? Has this happened to anyone else??
Avatar f tn We did many tests and the findings were elevated urea and creatinine, elevated calcium and kidney and bladder stones. The vets disagree on her condition, one thinks that the seizures are caused by the kidneys and the other that the kidneys and the seizures are not related. So far she has not started antiepileptic medication. We changed her food to Hill's k/d and her blood tests are much improved. The stones also seem to reduce. However, the seizures insist and I am very worried.
Avatar f tn MRI results show at least two 2.0mm stones in each kidney. I passed my second stone (left kidney) a couple of weeks ago, and ever since then, my right kidney has been giving me on-and-off pain. Should I be concerned about this chronic, low grade pain? I always wonder if it's sand passing, but I'm not sure now. The last 2 or 3 urine tests I've had done have all shown a low level of protein in the urine.
Avatar f tn My son has been having issues since March. He has had multiple punctate kidney stones, at least a dozen sonograms, 2 CTs, and a list of tests. He was hospitalized twice (both times wiht blood in his urine) and when he was pain free this Summer a sonogram showed only one small stone. His pain returned and he again had blood in his urine (this time he also had crystals in urine) and a sono showed multiple kidney stones, measuring a bit bigger than his last ones.
1028300 tn?1252093974 I am almost 18 weeks pregnant and have kidney stones! They are supposed to be putting a stint in next Wed. The Dr. said that I might have complications such as kidney failure or contractions if I DON'T put the stint in, but I have heard that the stint is VERY painful, sometimes more so than just having kidney stones! He will change the stint every month until the stone(s) pass or the end of the pregnancy. The Dr. gave me phenegren and demerol for the pain. I am scared!
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear what you're going through, but yes, I've suffered with these nasty stones for well over 30 years now and some were multiple stones at one time in the same year, and then more stones at different times of that same year. In my case, here I was drinking all this water and still getting these multiple stone episodes of stones. I did some serious looking at what might be causing me to have this many stones, this frequently.
Avatar f tn I have frequent burning sensation and also feeling like bubbles popping in my kidneys.... I have no stones or infection..... I also pee a lot frequently and don't drink a lot of fluids. Any idea what it could be.
Avatar n tn Nurse talked to me about the symptoms and said it might just be muscle/ligament pain or kidney stones. She told me to take Tylenol and they would check me out at my next appointment, next TUESDAY morning. (they did offer an emergency spot for me today/thursday but it was during class that I couldn't miss even though it meant that I was sitting there in tears during the test). She told me if it got too bad to go back to the ER. Anyways. tylenol isn't touching the pain.
Avatar n tn s came back ok they told me to stop taking antibotic,I did but cont with the pain in flank always after I'm done urinating after my stream I always drip white cloudy substance, my pain is not severe and tylenol usally helps, I was wondering could this be stones? I always read that stones are very, very painful my pains not that bad.
Avatar f tn Hello, Cloudy urine is caused by blood in urine, UTI, bladder infection, kidney stones, gonorrhea and other causes. Glucose can be seen in diabetes mellitus, pheochromocytoma or it can be transient stress induced.Urobiliongen in urine is seen in UTI or hepatitis. Trace protein can be seen in normal persons also. The presence of 3-5 RBCs in urine can be seen in urinary tract infection; kidney stone etc. and is an indication of further testing. Any test result should be correlated clinically.
Avatar n tn Hi, The way I understand your urinalysis showed rbc numbering at 3-5 /hpf and the normal reference for your laboratory was less than 3? Is this correct? Were you able to visibly or grossly note bleeding in your urine? In other laboratories, urine RBC's numbering up to 5 may still be acceptable. So I feel that in your case, this may be a mild case of microscopic hematuria. In the presence of mild hematuria, other factors have to be noted like bacteria and WBC levels.
387767 tn?1345875627 Be sure to discuss all recommended vaccines with your veterinarian. A cat with kidney disease or kidney failure should not be vaccinated at all. Long-term feeding of an all-dry-food diet is also suspected as a factor in Chronic Renal Failure. Cats' kidneys are highly efficient and adapted to life in the desert, where they would get most or all of their water from eating their prey.

Avatar f tn I have noticed that it depends on my stress levels. If my stress hormones are to higher i drops stones very fast ans they seem to be larger...
Avatar n tn Gout, inflammatory bowel disease and some medications promote specific types of kidney stones. It's common, however, for kidney stones to have no definite, single cause. The following can increase your risk of developing kidney stones: family history, lack of fluids, age and sex, diet, limited activity, obesity, high blood pressure, and changes in the digestive process. You can read more about this through this link: http://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar n tn Has anyone else had a cat with a kidney stone? Or a bladder stone? My cat has a large stone in her bladder and a small one in her kidney she is on Hills CD food and antibiotics right now I"m not sure if I should wait a couple of months to see if the bladder stone dissolves or just have it removed now? They said they can't remove the kidney stone but they can remove the bladder stone, but I don't know how the kidney stone is going to effect her health in the future.
Avatar n tn I have had natural childbirth and passed four separate kidney stones but this was by far much worse than any previous experience. The doctors and clinicians at the hospital tell me I did not have a heart attack due to the blood work results, no blockages found and no permanent damage. However, I KNOW it was a heart attack and was very much fearful that I would not survivie.
