Avatar n tn Either an IVP with pictures taken while lying and then standing will show the exact degree that your kidney is falling or a lasix renal scan in supine and upright positions will show your issue. A lot of doctors think this is a mythical condition, while others do take it seriously, however, surgery is only performed if you are symptomatic. Good news though, they are able to perform a laproscopic nephropexy!
1674610 tn?1317005820 I had an MRI couple hours ago a couple of the images that looks dark like space with spider vein on the bottom right corner said thick mass on all of them, same pic, though from different views. What could a MRI reading mean by thick mass. Is it stones, tissue, cancer, swelling, anybody know something about MRI's readings? I Have pancreastis and was wondering about it what it could mean.
Avatar n tn The kidneys pull the body's wastes from the blood stream in the kidney's glomeruli and the basement membrane filters of the glomeruli are typically small. Kidney stones can exit, (albeit with some blood, guess from the tearing of the filter membranes to allow escape). But, the stones originated in the kidney, not the gall bladder, they are not connected. Kidney stones can cause severe flank pain and can radiate, perhaps this is what Andy might have passed, a kidney stone.
Avatar m tn She does have a history of Kidney stones but she only has gotten them once and guess what.... she was pregnant at that time too. She went into the hospital with the same symptoms I outlined above but, like this time, nothing showed up on any tests.
523707 tn?1212472541 In the meantime, while waiting, I noticed a gallary of pictures on this dr.'s wall. They looked like graduation pictures. Something like what a family would have hanging in their house. I looked closely at them and it had their names, dates of birth, and the day they SUCCUMED to LUPUS!!! I made my husband look at them because I couldn't believe this doctor was actually hanging pictures of his patients that had died due to the very disease they were seeing him for!!!
Avatar n tn People who have had their gallbladder removed surgically still get plenty of green, bile coated stones, and anyone who cares to dissect their stones can see that the concentric circles and crystals of cholesterol match textbook pictures of "gallstones" exactly." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEW - Click here To Access Liver Cleanse Forum Archive -- over 500 stories!
Avatar n tn Not only has my tumor grown but i have multiple more along with lesions and cysts on my liver and kidney stones. A specialist told me and can't tell anything til he goes in to see whats going on cause I shouldnt have pain. I understand his point there but have a hard time understanding why they are growing.
Avatar f tn (and I have had several kidney stones) The pain was in the middle and right side of my abdomen. My liver enzymes went through the roof and they told me it was a gallstone. Luckily the stone passed but they told me the gallbladder had to come out. Since the surgery all the pain that I had been having over the years is gone. The surgery was painfull for the first few days but the recovery went by quick. Now I still feel a little week but I am ok and for the first time pain free.
Avatar n tn Although I was told I had no stones I gave it a shot. I could not believe all the stones that came out. Hundreds and I am not exagerating. It is a cleanse that requires you be in fairly good health because you feel a little drained from it. It is called Dr. Hulda Clarkes Liver and Gallbladder cleanse. You will be amazed at how well it works. Just do a search on it and you will be sure to find it.
1194973 tn?1385507504 the labor pains with my daughter hurt but NOTHING like the back labor with my son....almost as bad as kidney stones and only less painful because labor has an end while stones can last weeks... anyway sorry babbling lol.....when did theyt say to come in? some women's ctrx are never entirely regular....
Avatar n tn also i know some doctors say no or only on occasion to tums and rolaids, because they are calcium fortified and if you eat them like candy (like some people do) they can give you kidney stones. that actually happened to a friend of ours. she was pg with twins and got heartburn something awful ended up giving herself kidney stones.
Avatar f tn A 3D scan-that is exciting. I was going to do that also but when I had the kidney stones a couple weeks ago I had another ultrasound which once again confirmed it is a girl so I am not going to do the 3D one now. I have the worst time sleeping, it is hard to get comfortable and I have to pee at least every 2 hours. Everyone says I look so tired. I had my glucose test yesterday and I have gained another five lbs.

Avatar m tn For those that have kidney stones, i had pain on my side and back and an ultrsound revealed a lentil sized stone in my kidney. The doctor gave me some pain killers and told me to go home and wait for me to pass it. He said I needed to pee through a filter to catch the stone and that the pain would be what a woman experiences giving birth. Well I saw my wife give birth and I knew I did not want to go through that. I then went to the internet and found an ad for a product called Uriflow.
140437 tn?1215113342 One on each forum. That is not too much to ask is it? And, I was dumbfounded that my post on Kidney Stones was moved (I think I more or less apologized that I was even posting that stuff since it was off topic) but, geeezzzzzz..... YES.... These are COMMUNITIES. COMMUNITY. 4aFriend said it........ we are a close group. But, it seems to me that the ones who are the most open regarding the closeness DO play by the sandbox rules.
Avatar n tn I have been to a GYN, Urologists, primary care physicians, you name it I have seen them. I have had kidney stones removed, laproscopic surgery (nothing abnormal) and a cystopy (spelling). I was actually hoping that the Lap would indicate that they had found something wrong so they could fix it. My GYN seems to think our next step is to remove the uterus, I just don't see how this can help.
Avatar n tn tums are calcium fortified and you can give yourself kidney stones from that...we have a friend that did that, those things are painful enough when you're not pg.
Avatar f tn Also, pain in the right side can indicate stones, which is solidified bile. Stones can end up in a lot of places, in a lot of organs. Usually stones pass normally, but perhaps you've got some hanging out in there, which would indeed cause pain in your liver area. But the pain can come from other things, too. Like me, I think you need the same thing I do, have an ultrasound. It will pick up all sorts of stuff that CAT scans do not. You say you are anemic.
Avatar f tn They have you lay on your stomach and take pictures. Some pictures are done while you are actually drinking the stuff. Some pictures are done with you standing up and some while laying down and in different ways. In between times you basically wait for a period of time in the waiting room until it is time for you to take another picture. It is an easy test and yet that stuff they have you drink is the worst part so if you are not feeling well be prepared.
Avatar n tn She said the only way she would touch it is if it is cancer or if it starts to effect my ureter again. 2 months ago I had severe kidney infection and kidney stones, I am thinking now it is because of the ovary thing growing back. I am just at a loss and dont know what to think anymore. If there are so many people having this issue why dont they find a way to deal with it. Beyond me, but now I have to deal with the daily pain that seems to be the norm for all that have the same symptoms.
179530 tn?1368940203 $ Money could be the only issue, I took an early medical leave from work due to a car accident, kidney stones, and a complicated pregnancy, and my poor husband is having to take on all the financial responsibilities on his own. Lmc2132, Thanks for wishing luck. NicMom I am going to find out if any of them are banned from being so many feet away from children like you suggested. JoyRenee, Thank you. I will definitely contact the Sheriffs’ Dept and find out what I can do.
Avatar n tn Morning time, have epsom salts in warm water and within 15 minutes to 2 hours the bathroom will become an amazing exploratory lab as you literally pass anywhere from a few to dozens of colored bile stones. Women who have borne more than a couple of children may have dark brownish-red (iron from overproduction for baby), green, and other varieties. These colors represent calcium and cholesterol deposits with a myriad of other ingredients.
Avatar n tn If you recently underwent a CCK- assessment of gall bladder contraction, then you had a test which is very sensitive for the diagnosis of gall bladder disease, even in the absence of gall stones. If the CCK test is normal but you still beleive that the problem is the gall bladder, then removal of the gall bladder would be needed. If the pain persisted , then a problem in the gall bladder was not the cause.
Avatar n tn It's an urban myth...gallstones, unlike kidney stones can not be dissolved - and even if they could, you would NOT want the remnants of them "passing through" as this "flush" suggests would happen....the fragments or small stones would become trapped, possibly in the bile duct. This old wives' tale is at best useless and at worst dangerous...please don't even try it....
202436 tn?1326477933 My daughter was conceived the first month trying after the miscarriage, and I had multiple kidney stones during the pregnancy and a kidney surgery at 34wks pregnant. Kahlan was born on her due date; it was a short labor, only a few hours, and I only pushed for 20 minutes; but when she came out, she tore me in every direction. I nearly bled to death on the table because I bled out so quickly, and they wheeled me into the OR with the OB kneeling between my legs and sewing as we went.
1035252 tn?1427231433 We conceived her right away, and during the pregnancy I had multiple hospitalizations for kidney stones, culminating with surgery at 34wks under general anesthesia to put a stent into my kidneys to relieve the horrible pressure that the stones were causing. She was born at 40wks on the dot (on her due date!) healthy, happy, and 7lbs6oz on Sept 23,2008, after only a few hours of labor and about 20 minutes of pushing. We named her Kahlan...and Kahlan tore her way out of momma!
Avatar n tn Could be kidney stones. I get kidney stones. I've been getting them since I was young. When I was younger, I had no idea what it was. Now I do. They tend to get worse as an adult and in some stages, can be as painful or worse than child birth. I would see a urologist.
108861 tn?1227249648 Everyone has laughed at how happy I am to have a kidney stone. But when you compare it to cancer, I'll take 5 of 'em! Called my Urologist, but he wasn't in the office on Friday. Will be interesting to see how they wish to proceed. I treated myself to a pedicure today as my reward. Now I have bright pink toes to match Raven's dancing shoes! :) Just put some jalepeno sausage cornbread in the oven. When that is finished, I'll put a strawberry cake in to bake. I love strawberry season!
Avatar n tn Yes, I have gallstones (and kidney stones) too. The risks of hitting the main artery in your neck probably far surpass of something happening by being put out .. that is what I keep telling myself. Will your Dr. let you get a fine needle aspiration? I would push for that and then readdress your concerns after you get the results.
