Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones natural therapies

Avatar f tn I concur with Spotjeff. My natural doctor says: "Most kidney stones are composed of calcium oxalate. Magnesium makes calcium more soluble in the urine, and inhibits the formation of calcium-oxalate crystals. One study examined 55 people with reoccurring kidney stones, who were given 500 milligrams of magnesium daily for up to 4 years. the study showed that 85% of these people remained stone0free compared with 41% in a group of people who did not receive magnesium supplements.
Avatar m tn My Mother once had Kidney stones 20-years ago. She had an operation to have the stones removed only to find that they came back a year later in full force. She did not want to have an operation every year.... so she learnt about how apples and apple juice completely dissolves Kidney Stones. Why don't all Doctors know that? A good friend of my Father's had gallstones last year when he came to visit us. He also complained about having painful gallstone attacks everyday.

Avatar f tn For canine arthritis therapy there are many therapies natural and/or traditional that can be helpful. Heart disorders can also lead to weakness. Urine leakage may be due to a urinary tract infection, kidney disorder, bladder stones, etc. If you are able to obtain lab tests and post results, I am glad to offer further suggestions Dr Carol Osborne, DVM.

2126606 tn?1346348724 It’s very important that hyperalgesia be differentiated from chronic pain so doctors are able to properly treat the problem and lessen pain, without causing or escalating physical dependence. Long-term opiate use can hinder or even stop the body's ability to produce natural endorphins, which is why many patients receive relief from pain once their bodies are able to recover this natural function.
Avatar f tn I'm so tired I could cry, but I blame that on the pregnancy. I passed some kidney stones last week, so that was fun. Anyway, for me I guess this is good/normal range in respect to the upper limit of how my body is capable of feeling. You know, when you're already used to feeling like garbege...... Anyhow, I hope you are well (as well as could be expected). Have you gotten any of your consults scheduled yet? How about the mobility stuff?

Avatar n tn I use my treatment for 20 months now and I am doing GREAT taking into consideration that my cancer is an aggresive one. Vit C does not cause any kidney stones...quack watch is saying this to tarnish the reputation of a reputable doctors who are using VitC. If you need more info please write me a PM. Sunes.
Avatar f tn (and I have had several kidney stones) The pain was in the middle and right side of my abdomen. My liver enzymes went through the roof and they told me it was a gallstone. Luckily the stone passed but they told me the gallbladder had to come out. Since the surgery all the pain that I had been having over the years is gone. The surgery was painfull for the first few days but the recovery went by quick. Now I still feel a little week but I am ok and for the first time pain free.
Avatar n tn I have a two year old who has had problems since she was born with developmental mile stones not being reached. she has been sick at least once a month for over a year with fevers and she has had lots of tests from eeg, ekg, full body xrays, genetic testing and more. she has been treated for all the same things with no real relief. the fevers just pop up with no warning. they will get as high as 104-105 for 2-4 days and then it just disappears.
Avatar f tn It relieves constipation, distention, chronic fever, cold, sexual disorders, kidney stones, heart pain, backache, sciatica and other pains in the joints.
Avatar f tn This can happen if you have a urinary tract infection or have any problem with any part of the urinary tract and if you have kidney stones. With kidney problems, the urine can smell very strong just like liver and kidneys. Initially, your GP would be your first port of call to examine your urine and send it to the laboratory for analysis. If you do have any particular symptoms that could be related to the urinary tract the doctor would be able to send you for an ultrasound scan.
Avatar n tn I went over 2 weeks urinating very little which in turn caused a urinary tract infection and then kidney stones. I had my gall bladder out 2 years ago and am wondering if that isn't causing me problems now. All this was brought on all of a sudden. Does anyone know if acid irritation could cause delayed emptying or if it is vice versa?
2197322 tn?1338845793 once i got back to my dad's house, i told him I NEED to get to the hospital, 'cause I'm freaking out, my neck is swollen. about a day or two later, i got kidney stones I had to deal with the pain for about... TWO WEEKS. Then, he called a taxi and got me to the ER. (Btw, I forgot to mention that my mom took the car with her back to oregon. but my dad could've EASily dialed 9-1-1, YA KNOW?? **my psychotic, side tracked mind, wow!
Avatar n tn She said the only way she would touch it is if it is cancer or if it starts to effect my ureter again. 2 months ago I had severe kidney infection and kidney stones, I am thinking now it is because of the ovary thing growing back. I am just at a loss and dont know what to think anymore. If there are so many people having this issue why dont they find a way to deal with it. Beyond me, but now I have to deal with the daily pain that seems to be the norm for all that have the same symptoms.
Avatar n tn Have upper back pain at bra band level. This pain is pretty much constant but some days not as bad as others. At times feels as if it's in the bone but also away from spine sore & more muscular. About 2" above is another spot that seems more isolated right next to the spine and is sore to touch.Thoracic back xray then was "normal" At the time was also having some side pain-never had anxiety but started to fear it may be pancreatic cancer.

Avatar f tn I have a history of kidney stones going back 4 years now and since then I have microscopic blood in my urine. Saw a Urologist about it, he did urine tests also did cystoscopy and I even had xray and ct scan of my bladder and kidneys. Nothing is found ever. But why do I have the urge to go like a UTI? I mentioned is it overactive bladder, I am told no, no one ever brings up cystitis, which from what I have read, this sounds like it.
Avatar f tn She is in fourth stage renal failure-Of course she has seen her regular vet for fluids-ultra sound revealed she has one kidney which is failing. Creatine was 13-subs at home-now using hollistic and homepatic treatment. Recently more bad days than good. I am giving her ice chips which seem to work better for her than lapping. Pedialyte ice is also better.
Avatar n tn It's an urban myth...gallstones, unlike kidney stones can not be dissolved - and even if they could, you would NOT want the remnants of them "passing through" as this "flush" suggests would happen....the fragments or small stones would become trapped, possibly in the bile duct. This old wives' tale is at best useless and at worst dangerous...please don't even try it....
Avatar n tn no AFIB since but plagued with PVCs ever since. Just had another 24 hr. holter, echo, etc., and all normal except showed 4,000+ PVCs - benign. So heart in good shape. I exercise daily, am 6'4" - 180 lbs., 52 yrs. old and am on Flecinade and a beta blocker. PVCs just seem to keep gradually getting worse(they're bad for a few weeks, not so bad for a few weeks, etc.) and now they're affecting my sleep and exercising (which really tees me off!).
Avatar n tn A pain shot was given for pain and E.R. Dr said to take a natural laxative, she was back in the E.R. the next night for severe dehydration and original pain of right side. Since that time she has had 7 trips to the emergancy room, 8 visits to the family Dr.. There have been 6 X-rays done to the area of pain, an upper scope, a Spirral C/T scan with contrast at 3mm. An MRI of the upper and lower back area's.
Avatar n tn I have steadily gotten worse over time. I started out with Lactose Intolerance after having my daughter 14 years ago. I drank a lot of milk while pregnant which may have done it. After a while, I started having a lot of gas and felt ill often. I was using Lactaid pills for the LI, so that wasn't it. I had an endoscopy, colonoscopy and my gallbladder checked. I was checked for H. Pyloi and all the other blood tests were done. Everything came up normal.
475555 tn?1469307939 When they do the colonoscopy, they'll probably find all sorts of ghastly stuff in wrong with my kidneys and pancreas (I already found out I have gall stones and a chyst in one kidney), and then I won't be able to take combination therapy either. Probably when I go in for the general anesthetic prep on April 30th, they'll tell me I can't take g.a. for some reason.
Avatar m tn So the Dr's swiftly got me to a level of 32mg a day. I am an addict with kidney stones at least once or twice per month and SUB did help with the pain of these up to 6mm, I could pass them without surgery during the last 3 years. Fast forward 3 years later. Severe constipation led me to start quitting SUB, I then found out that going down to 24mg, then to 16mg then to 8mg was a very difficult thing to do.
Avatar n tn I've had that same 'love-hate' relationship for about 16 years now, and I often wonder if I can ever get to a point, to where it will finally just 'go away', and I'll never have the desire to take one again, unless I really need to for pain (I have kidney stones, which started all of this **** up again) Your question really 'struck me', because that's one I've been asking people, doctors, etc - for a long time now, but can't seem to ever really get a definite answer myself.
931217 tn?1283484935 [12] Though dystocia can sometimes be treated medically, allowing natural delivery to proceed, the majority of dogs and cats with dystocia require surgical treatment.[10-13] Most females recovery fully from c-sections, though the risks of such surgery are likely greater than those of a planned spay surgery due to the emergency nature of the procedure and the often compromised health of the female due to the dystocia.
