Also note that during the episode of my back/kidney ache, my chest pain was very little to almost gone. Although they came back a little bit but not to the point that i would go crazy.

Avatar n tn However, this treatment can take months and stones can recur. Sound waves. This approach, called lithotripsy, involves the use of high-energy shock waves to break up gallstones. However, this procedure is considered appropriate only for patients who cannot undergo surgery. It works best on single stones that are less than two centimeters in diameter. Risks include pain and pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas, which can occur within a month of treatment.
Avatar f tn I have had several activations and symptoms come right back full force. I have also had kidney stones and cysts on my kidneys and i swear its from EBV too. Fortunately the activations when caught early can be fairly well dealt with for me.
Avatar f tn She had over 10 operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus. I was not surprised at this result, as `The elements of materia medica', edited in 1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania , stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones.
Avatar m tn Could kidney stones cause an elevated ANA? Could hyperparathyroid cause elevated ANA? What else would high normal serum Ca and the high urine CaOx indicate? Lastly, so sorry if I don't understand, but does the high urine CaOx mean there are kidney stones or just increases the chance of developing? Anything besides water I can take to help reduce/prevent? Thanks for shedding the "light"!
Avatar n tn I don't know anything about Vit C by IV, but isn't there kidney concerns with large doses of Vit C? Maybe by IV it's not as big a deal? I was thinking it caused kidney stones or some other kidney issue.
Avatar n tn IF the natural product is as effective as the established treatment, then there is a basis to use the natural approach. Testamonials of efficacy by some individuals do not mean anything. As far as I know, the gall bladder flush has not been studied to determine whether it has any benefit for patients.
Avatar m tn I get a CT Scan every 6 months and have 4 stones in left kidney and 2 in right kidney. Please read my post about kidney stones (says something like Kidney Stone & this is my story) cause I need someone to talk too or someone that is or has gone through all this agony. You will understand if you go to my post. Thanks for listening/reading. I have been through several urologist & they just don't know.
Avatar f tn I know about having babies, having experienced natural childbirth, and having been ripped apart by kidney stones…between to 2 I’d prefer another birth, and I was in labor 52 hours with my son…however at the end, I had something to show for it, a son…not so with kidney stones, just pure pain with nothing to show for it but shedded body parts. C. Admiral Peary (sorry I mispelled) had several men on his crew die.
Avatar f tn Any other symptoms like kidney stones, frequent urination, heartburn, headaches (especially in the morning), constipation,or joint pain? If so, have your PTH and calcium levels checked as well. I had all of the symptoms you have (and these ones above) and it turned out I had a parathyroid tumor (rarely cancerous -mine wasn't) that had been growing madly for at least 4 years...
Avatar m tn Pretty sure my kidneys are mildly having problems, so that's another thing to ask when I go. I have a history of kidney stones and infections. So, there I go with my 1000 questions. Feel FREE to offer your knowledge, right now it means the world to me to feel better. Thank you!!!
Avatar n tn Looking back I can see the patterns but I got sucked into it for a long time. We had constant trips to the ER for all kinds of things-kidney stones, back pain, headaches and they would run tests and NOTHING would ever come back- No stones or anything- I'm guessing you know the story. We would get pain medicine and go on until the next time something would "go wrong". For years she always had something wrong and was prescribed pain medicine but mostly for her back.
Avatar m tn Had no idea what it meant but didn’t take it seriously enough as to Google it. Discussed it with coworkers that mentioned kidney stones, and that was enough for me. Next thing you know I’m drinking apple cider vinegar, and dropping coffee. Now, work has been stressful at the start of it. I work in an office so sitting for long periods of time. And when I get home I do the same thing. My BMI is borderline normal.
Avatar n tn I use my treatment for 20 months now and I am doing GREAT taking into consideration that my cancer is an aggresive one. Vit C does not cause any kidney stones...quack watch is saying this to tarnish the reputation of a reputable doctors who are using VitC. If you need more info please write me a PM. Sunes.
3198928 tn?1345257003 I developed kidney stones and was put on opiates then and havent stopped again that was 2 months ago. i just found out (fom this forum) that the bronkaide that i have been taken probably caused the kidney stones in the first place. I have been using bronkaide for energy for about 10 months. my usage has increase to over 60 pills a day. 2127081 tn?1389939963 If you don't you will have minor headaches and if you continue to take large amount of Vitamin C for long period without enough water you may end up with kidney stones. So make sure to let your body wash it self with the help of these supplements.
393685 tn?1425816122 The only way to rule that out is with a costly HIDA Scan test which tests for functionality. You could have stones .. always a possibility. Now .. kidney stones can do as you describe except for the throat part. They can play GI havoc big time but not the throat in my experiences. So ...........MOM ='s Mother of Medicine degree .. I vote silent reflux. AND THE CAFFEINE IS A NO NO NO NO .. big CAPS .. NO on the caffeine and also add chocolate to the list.
Avatar f tn I've had kidney stones before but this feels different. I had a ct scan that came back normal.....just constipated..I've been taking Prevacid regulary becausei take a lot of pain MEDS for degerative disc disease. Constipation is just a way of life and this pain feels NOTHING like that! I actually had a bm and still don't feel any relief. I feel like my primary care doctor doesn't believe me so not sure what to do next. I want to get some sleep! No clue how to get rid of this ain!
Avatar n tn I don't have the burps or runs just the burning, knawing pain along with the naseua it used to help if I massaged my kidneys it would sometimes make the pain go away even though the pain was in the front of my body...Nothing I take is helping antacids make me puke. ( I also have had kidney stones but this isn't the same kind of pain). Any ideas? I also once saw a dr who said I was borderline when she tested me for h.pylori and when I mentioned it to the gastro doc he dismissed it.
Avatar n tn This would explain the suddeness of the onset of severe pain, and I recently noticed a large drop-off in my urine output as well as more pain in the small of my back.I did a Yahoo health search on kidney stones/ kidney failure and found that my symptoms matched ALL those that were listed! It's very possible that a stone could have been missed when my CT scan and abdominal film was done as I was very constipated on that day and this could have obscured the stone.
931217 tn?1283484935 WHILE I RECOGNIZE THAT A MINORITY OF CONSUMERS AND A SMALL MINORITY OF VETERINARIANS MAY FEEL DIFFERENTLY ABOUT RAW MEAT BASED DIETS FOR PETS. FEELINGS ABOUT THE NATURAL WORLD AND THE WAY IT WORKS ARE NO SUBSTITUTE FOR REAL ATTEMPTS TO UNDERSTAND IT HOWEVER. INDEED IF WE HAVE LEARNED NOTHING OVER THE LAST 2000 YEARS OF CIVILIZATION, IT IS THAT COOKING MEAT TO 164º F INTERNALLY, KILLS PATHOGENIC ORGANISMS AND SAVES LIVES.
Avatar n tn Oh,"ozark".. and she was tested for kidney stones and infections... all were normal! And, the nurse in the ER locally (we live 2 hours from where she had her ERCP and hospital stays) mentioned "TORADOL" to our pediatrician. She took it for the evening and day until we could get to Charleston for her to be admitted. Seemed to be a good thing!
Avatar f tn You only need 15 minutes in the sun to get your daily dose of D! Then you should put on your sun block. One frequently overlooked way to enhance and optimize health with organically grown food is the use of herbs and spices – unprocessed and organic, of course. One amazing benefit of these herbs is that they’re very low in calories, while being dense in vitamins and minerals. In the same vein, they’re thermogenic, meaning they naturally boost your metabolism to help you burn calories.
Avatar f tn Too much calcium ends up deposited into your arteries and can cause heart attack. Also kidney stones, etc. Normal Lab range for Vitamin D3 is 30-100ng/mL. Anything under 50ng/mL isn't good and you to to be at 50 at least for optimal sleep and health. When taking vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) never D2 - Ergocalciferol) you need to supplement with magnesium. They work together, plus D3 can use up magnesium. When D and magnesium levels are raised, calcium level goes up too.
Avatar n tn I was recently diagnoised with advanced diverticulitis. After several mis-diagnoises of bladder infections and kidney stones, an er physician ordered a CT Scan and discovered the disease. Symptoms include severe lower abdominal pain on the left side and pain in the pelvis area(also on the left side). I was admitted to the hosital for four days while receiving i.v.andtibiotics and fluids. I've also had a barium enema indicating some sort of mass in the colon.
Avatar n tn I also have chronic kidney stones (thankfully small ones). I also have chronic low potassium, every time it is tested it is low, and sometimes when im in the hospital it is very low (2.5), and they end up putting me on a heart monitor.... As for the migraines, i will start researching the diet you mentioned. Just yesterday i had no headache, but had numbness on the left side of my face. Today I wake up and have a lump on my forehead just above my left eyebrow.
