Avatar m tn I am a 37 year old man. I had Kidney stones in 2002 which was treated by the laser treatment. Again this year in 2010, I had the same problem and was again treated by the same method. The analysis of the stone was found to be due to calcium. My job demands that I remain fit all the time due to lack of medical help. I do drink about 2 liters of water per day some times accompanied with lemon.
Avatar n tn Hi, How many times have you experienced this ? Was this present prior to the treatment of your kidney stones? What kind of treatment did you undergo? This may be case of dry orgasm or orgasm with no seminal discharge. The following may lead to a dry orgasm: "Retrograde ejaculation. Avatar n tn It does not get rid of the kidney stone. The kidney stone will cause you problems with urinary infections as it moves, or travels down. This is because it scratches as it moves and then when bacteria enters the wounds, infection sets in. You will know when the stone is moving because you will feel discomfort or pain in one or the two kidneys (depends where the stone is). You may also experience what is called renal colic which is wind like pain in your belly.

Avatar n tn I have had people say that drinking freshly squeezed lemon juice with water will help to dissolve kidney stones. I do drink lots of water and water with fresh lemon juice (freshly squeezed) and do notice that when I get kidney pain and start to drink the lemon water, I do notice more sediment in the urine. A kidney stone can be as small as a grain of sand. 20 years ago when my stone was surgically removed, I was told to avoid all dairy, but since then the information has changed.
Avatar m tn It was found that my stone was calcium based and I was told to avoid all dairy products as well as some fruit and veg. There are 4 different types of kidney stones. Unfortunately, once you have had kidney stones the chances of getting another one are much higher.
Avatar n tn they have to take leave to send me to hospital, they have to use their money for treatment that was exceed my insurance allowance. i can say, from the passing kidney stones until the removal of stent, i was suffer so much!

Avatar m tn My daughter since her pregnancy 5 years ago gets kidney stones and for the last year they are getting more and more frequent and now are about once a month and are getting bigger and unable to pass. She also has major back problems and is in need of (2) back surgeries but cannot get them done because her kidney functions are too low. She is only 25 years old. So she is not able to work and has TennCare for her health insurance. She has a stone right now that is 8.3 mm and too big to pass.
Avatar f tn Incredibly, mutant, toxic nuclear painful and just plain HURT, A LOT, multiple kidney stones. Kidney stones can pass and poof - all gone. Then another - or a few others - can make their ugly journey into your ureter days or weeks later. This experience is not fun. I speak from experience. One little 5 mm just about made me grind the enamel off my teeth - but the lovely wretched staghorn model at a whopping 9+mm? And hooked and now on display in a window box?
Avatar m tn I am not able to give you a diagnoses based on your results. Have you seen an Endocrinologist? I suffered from kidney stones and also pain in my kidney areas for many years. I have been stone free for six years now, since I seen the Endocrinologist. He reviewed my blood work and found several deficiencies, like Vitamin D, low Potassium, and high contents of Salt to name a few. He recommended foods to avoid since my stone were calcium acetate formations and some medications.
Avatar n tn Also, specifically, lemon juice appears to break down CaOx stones. I pass a kidney stone at least once a month, so I completely understand what you are going through. No doctor would expect a 9mm stone to pass on its own, its just too big. I personalyl wouldn't be that anxious to break it up though, because a 9mm stone can make quite a few smaller ones. Luckily, in some blessed individuals, stones can stay in the kidney painlessly for many years without causing any trouble at all.
Avatar n tn I'm 26 years old, female. Family history of gallbladder disease without stones includes father, both grandmothers. GI prescribes reglan, prilosec - no relief. GI then sends me to a surgeon for laparoscopic cholocystectomy with a liver biopsy. Surgeon agrees and schedules. Insurance stops surgery, says they won't pay if no stones or significant physical disfunction are found at time of surgery. Have gotten third opinion that says to do cholocystectomy. Should I risk the surgery?
Avatar n tn Would that present the same symptoms as a kidney stone? I have had confirmed kidney stones in the past and this feels the same. Tomorrow I am supposed to get an x-ray of my spine. Any suggestions?????
Avatar n tn Hi, About 3yrs ago, I learned that I had a 15mm stone in the left Kidney. My Urologist didnt recommend shockwave treatment because it wasnt causing me much pain at the time. I started experiencing some pain, a few months back, small parts of the stone were breaking off. I discussed this with my doctor and he said I could live with the pain, but I would need to have some sort of treatment at some point. I am 34yrs old and I decided I should go ahead and do something about this stone.
Avatar f tn Hi, A detailed history and work up is important for correct diagnosis and management of your condition. Struvite stones are called infection stones and are commonly observed in people who have factors that predispose them to UTIs like those with spinal cord injury, reflux disorders and obstructive uropathies etc. These can grow rapidly, forming large calyceal staghorn calculi requiring invasive surgery such as percutaneous nephrolithotomy for definitive treatment.
Avatar f tn I have a 3mm stone in the lower left kidney. I had 2 CT scans. I drink A LOT of water. I can not get the stone to move. How long can a stone stay in the kidney? Can it get larger if it doesn't move? Is there anything else I can do to help move this stone? Has anyone else had this problem? I would appreciate any advice.
Avatar n tn Dear Hajime, One third to one half of patients with medullary sponge kidney have hypercalcemia secondary to a multitude of reasons however, renal leak is most common. The stones that these patients develop are calcium oxalate type stones. Thiazide diuretics are the main type of treatment in the USA, however dietary modification may help as well. If this doesnt work, inorganic phosphates may be tried.
4296693 tn?1352380627 at 10pm, take a half cup olive oil or sesame oil w/ a half cup of fresh lemon juice, mix it well and drink it. the oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage. the next morning, you will find green stones in your stools, usually they float. by: Dr. Lai Chiu-Nan please try this.. after this treatment I feel so great! and yet I saw a lot of stones in my stool.. and now I have my regular exercise 6times a week, w/ vit. and supplements, liveraide, vit.C and multivitamins.
Avatar f tn Drinking water with fresh lemon juice is said to dissolve stones - obviously that will depend on what type of stones you have. I have drank this and do not know if it works or not, but I have passed a lot of sediment from time to time which could have been a stone being broken up. I have heard that parsley is supposed to help too. There is forum on kidney stones and that may help you to look at that. With your heart problem, you should be referred under the care of a cardiologist.
Avatar f tn have you guys tried the olive oil/lemon juice flush? It works great. Will help you dump out the stones and possibly keep the gallbladder. There is a misconception that is you lose the gallbladder you will lose the pain and that is just not true. Too many reports refuting it. But don't take my word, you can research. Hope you feel better....
Avatar f tn I have had several activations and symptoms come right back full force. I have also had kidney stones and cysts on my kidneys and i swear its from EBV too. Fortunately the activations when caught early can be fairly well dealt with for me.
Avatar f tn The report mentions that there is considerable debris and this could be just due to the infection causing shedding of the bladder epithelial cells, WBC aggregation, small stones or crystals formed in the kidney, etc. The adherent aggregate has bee supposed to be a blood clot that is still sticking to the bladder wall. Even though no stones were seen on the ultrasound, it does not rule out their presence and an Xray would be able to conclusively identify stones in the urinary tract, if present.
Avatar n tn Thanks for the comments. They were helpful. I was just diagnosed with gallstones and kidney stones. I am researching all the different options. I do not know the size or the amount of gallstones as of yet. I am not really in pain, but I did have bouts of nausea, heat flashes, aches, my lymph nodes were even swollen, slight stiff neck with the slight headache. One day I had pain on my right side and under the rib cage. Doctors were baffled for a week but I kept pushing.
690241 tn?1227390813 ) I read her comment and saw what you posted and yes, I believe that is true about diet not being able to prevent stones; it can in the case of kidney stones but not when you have MSK I believe, as you said.
Avatar m tn Have you had an ultrasound scan done or the dye xray to see if all the kidney stones have now been excreted? If not, it may be worth asking your doctor or urologist to refer you for an ultrasound scan to check your urinary tract. Do not reduce your intake of fluids and follow the advice of your urologist with regard to how much you should be drinking. It is important to drink water to help flush out any small remaining stones.
Avatar n tn I used to have the onset of kidney stones and did a special herbal cleanse in Indonesia. It was done with monitoring at the lab etc. Two brothers who inherited their fathers herbal recipes and studies in the US. They had lots of kidney stones in their practice. Amazing what people were able to pee out, instead of getting operated for the stones. I didn't release stones, but my urine was clouded from the calcification and calcium was detectable on the lab reports.
