Avatar n tn no AFIB since but plagued with PVCs ever since. Just had another 24 hr. holter, echo, etc., and all normal except showed 4,000+ PVCs - benign. So heart in good shape. I exercise daily, am 6'4" - 180 lbs., 52 yrs. old and am on Flecinade and a beta blocker. PVCs just seem to keep gradually getting worse(they're bad for a few weeks, not so bad for a few weeks, etc.) and now they're affecting my sleep and exercising (which really tees me off!).

438165 tn?1205235676 I have had a stone in my kidney for many yrs now. It flairs now and then but the Dr. doesn't seem to concerned about it. I know its large enough that it can not pass on its own. I get throbbing in the kidney area sometimes. Do you think I need to be more aggressive with the Dr. to do something about this? Can it do damage sitting for so long? What treatments can the do to help this pass or remove it? Anything at home I can do to help dissolve it??
748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
1916673 tn?1420236870 Higher than normal potassium is not very unusual in kidney disease, but it is important to discount other potential causes - including kidney or urinary tract stones. An ultra-sound and white blood cell (WBC) count will help identify if stones are a problem. Phosphorus is also too high. Dogs acquire phosphorus directly from food, and normally (in healthy dogs) any excess is excreted through the kidneys.
Avatar f tn I know I've flushed out kidney stones. I've figured out that the cause of my kidney stones is high fructose corn syrup in some of my favorite foods like fig bars which I've given up. I would not be surprised if that had something to do with my gall stones.
Avatar f tn There is a treatment for kidney stones if they can't pass on their own. His Dr would have to do the procedure in the hospital. They break the stones up into very tiny pieces that can be passed. I think he would be able to come home that same day.
Avatar f tn I've been drinking Chanta Piedra, it's a herb home remedy which dissolves the stones, try it. You can get it at the market, boil it for 5 to 10 min and put it in the fridge, and drink it like water, you'll see how better you'll feel. if you want google it (chanta piedra) for more insight, hope this helps. Next month i'll be going to my urologist to perform a procedure to look into my bladder.

211940 tn?1267884866 I have had kidney stones, in the past, but that was several years ago. Normally, when I get the UTI "symptoms", I take some cranberry pills, and drink lots of water. This usually clears it up, if not that same day, in a day or two. I normally take, cranberry pills, every day, as part of my regiment of keeping UTI's away. However, I have had the UTI "symptoms", this time, for almost 3 weeks now.

Avatar f tn She had over 10 operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus. I was not surprised at this result, as `The elements of materia medica', edited in 1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania , stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones.
Avatar n tn Mine was like 12% and I had zero stones so I had mine removed (and still am having problems..) One home remedy which I haven't done myself (scared me) was if you google 'liver cleanse recipe" you'll come across a few sites that list something like ...olive oil or...vinegar with lemon juice or something mix that you drink. They swear by it but..yeah proceed at your own risk there. Basically it's like a power flush for the liver..but something you can try.

Avatar n tn Greetings group, I'm a newly qualified doctor and have just started my internship, so my opinions are based on reading rather than experience (and hence may not be correct). My primary diagnosis would be Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS), a VERY COMMON yet poorly understood condition, caused by a "complex interaction of immune, endocrine, and neuronal events as well as the psychological status of the individual".

Avatar f tn The D will help you hold onto calcium, and keep your teeth and bones strong. The only reason this can backfire is if you have a kidney insufficiency, kidney stones, or an overactive parathyroid. In those cases taking D can actually cause kidney stones, strokes and more. So the main thing is to make sure you need the vitamin by having a blood test done to check both the D level, and your calcium level.
Avatar n tn Also had tests done for blood sugar, diabetes, liver function, blood clot (by lung), kidney stones plus an ultrasound on my entire abdomen. Tests have shown nothing thus far. I am seeing a specialist in a month or so - I'll let you know if I figure it out. If you have any new info on diagonsis/treatment please let me know!

Avatar n tn These dogs ALL need to be checked for UTIs or Bladder infections before you proceed with any kind of proper training....Urinary Tract Infections make it impossible for animals or humans (For that matter) to hold their urine..... Also, Kidney/Bladder Stones are common in toy breeds..... I don't understand the "Throwing your dog away Or Making it someone else's problem" because of a few accidents! Neither did anyone mention that they had seen a Vet before posting!
Avatar n tn Wow, that kind of scares me. I have had kidney stones twice. Just a week ago and then about 11 years ago. It seems I am missing something that breaks down calcium in the kidney. Nothing life threatening, my Dr. knows and never said anything but now I am worried will tx cause stones as I have read on many threads if you already have an existing problem tx will increase it. Other than the 2 stones I have never had any other kidney issues.
544292 tn?1268886268 LOL Welcome and I hope you will make yourself at home. Snuggle down, get comfy. There's a lot of information and experience here with getting off Tramadol. It's not impossible, lots of peeps here now living Tram Free Lives! Love & Healing!
Avatar n tn The ER thought I was passing kidney stones) I can tell you they pain is worse than giving birth. I had a ERCP with sphincter of Oddi monometry done. It sent me into an attack that put me in the hospital for 10 days. No food. Only ice chips and morphine for the pain. I will say that the ERCP helped with the pain. It had too, because I had not had an attack requireing hospitalization for almost 5 months now. The attacks were coming every 2 or 3 months that sent me into the hospital.
Avatar n tn I just recently have gone through eight months of treatment for a huge kidney stone. I have 7 lithotripsys and was generally put through the mill. Now this. Does anyone know if the kidney stones treatments could have anything to do with the elevated enzymes? I sure hate going to another specialist again and all the tests and stuff...I hate doctors and I just feel that they are so quick to do "another test." Anyone have any comments.
