Avatar m tn im a 26 year old male 5'11 185 lbs lean with a pudgy belly...recently i have been getting pains in my left lower back and it travels to my groin this time on the right side and feels now like a dull ache in my right testicle. no fever or nausea with these conditions but a "warm" sensation when urinating, stream is weak and color is mildy yellow. Could this be a kidney stone stuck in my bladder or is there another cause.

997798 tn?1250093033 Hi. I have had stones for over 30 years and only over the past 5 years had the symptoms you describe. Is the stone exiting the right kidney? <<<<"along with the pain I now have on my right side" = FLANK PAIN. Please google it and see if it matches up to the pain on the side. Is this your first stone? You need to do 24 hour urines and have the stone analyized, VERY important. DRINK DRINK DRINK ALL THE WATER YOU POSSIBLY CAN FORCE IT.
Avatar n tn Hi, Renal calculi can vary in size from as small as grains of sand to as large as a golf ball. Kidney stones typically leave the body by passage in the urine stream, and many stones are formed and passed without causing symptoms. If stones grow to sufficient size before passage—on the order of at least 2-3 millimeters—they can cause obstruction of the ureter.
Avatar m tn One question - he indicated that I'd know it if I had pain from the stones. A quick google search found that kidney stone pain can be excrutiating. Is it always excrutiating and, if so, for how long? Do you get warning beforehand?
Avatar m tn Well, today I found out it is not Kidney stones that are causing me the pain. Rather Gallbladder is not functioning properly. I was hospitalized with severe pain two days ago and released yesterday. Had a HIDA scan which confirmed my gallbladder is no longer working properly. So I am going to be having surgery to remove it on Wednesday. Thanks for your help again.
Avatar n tn Renal CT scan showed 1 mm stone in right kidney, 2 even smaller stones in left kidney. Was given hydrocodone for pain and phenagren in case pain meds cause nausea and told to see a urologist asap. My question is, if the stones are still in my kidneys how can they be causing all the lower abdominal pain and pressure. This pain is worse after I walk much, and when my bladder is getting full before I urinate. Urination does NOT hurt though. I have had no fever at all.
Avatar f tn Hello, Stents can cause discomfort or pain, commonly in the bladder and kidney (loin) area, but sometimes in other areas such as the groin, urethra and genitals. You can get pain killers prescribed and if the pain is not relieved then you may need removal of the stent. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn Hi, kidney stone pain and discomfort leads to significant mental stress causing dip in libido. Although stones are not directly related with loss of erections but indirectly mental anguish and depression leads to loss of libido which is a temporary phase. Try anti inflammatory drugs like diclofenac, ibuprofen for pain and take plenty of fluids.Do consult doctor if symptoms persists.
Avatar m tn They said it was either kidney or bladder stones(second most common kind). Meanwhile i starred to have pain in the lymph nodes in the groin region, some testicular pain, and minor nausea and light headiness off and on. I have an appy with a P.A at a urology clinic tuesday. I have not past any stones since wed. and they pain while urinating has gotten better, but I am still have all the other symptoms. I was wondering if anyone would have an idea of what this could be.
Avatar m tn Hi Tim, If the pain is not severe, there is really no need for pain control. You need to increase you fluid intake, water is the best, as this will help move the stone quickly. Normally, a urologist is not needed unless something unusual is taking place. Many doctors do not read x-rays or mri's. There are doctors trained to read them and then send a report to the attending physician. Consider luckily man in that you are not screaming with pain as many people do when passing a stone.
Avatar m tn i went to a doctor and after series of test, he found out that i had kidney stones.. ive been taking acalka for about a week, but the pain doesnt go away.. lately, i can feel the my groin is aching... is this std or just kidney stones? hoping for your reply asap. thanks!
554628 tn?1362781519 Hi, nausea, headache and kidney pain can be related with nephropathy (kidney disorder), urine test and blood urea and creatinine are usually done for diagnosis. Kidney stones do cause similar kind of symptoms; ultrasound is quite diagnostic for stones.
Avatar f tn I have two kidney stones in one kidney and two stones in the other. They are two big to pass (6 and 7 mm) so the doctor is putting me on a medication for the next three months in the hopes of dissolving them. He did say they are non-dissolvable, so I am confused. I have blood in my urine, which triggered the ultrasounds of my kidneys and bladder. I don't understand why he didn't give me the option of a lithotrypsy. I am trying to get pregnant, so I don't know if that was a reason.
Avatar n tn Last Tuesday l awoke with nurmerous bowel motions progressing to Diahorrea then stabbing pain in lower right stomach/groin/flank and bad lower back/hip pain (actually back/hip pain l'd had for a few weeks), progressed to vomitting then just the pain and amazing pelvic pressure and constant urination. Went to Docs got pain injection with suspected kidney stones.
409451 tn?1206900232 Then noticed I was extremely tired, have almost constant lower back pain, and had off and on abdominal pain some extremely sharp-took my breathe away (during period) others just random off and on pain. Also noticed a swollen gland in groin that's been there almost 2 months (no pain there). Went to ob/gyn for uti symptoms and gland, no bacteria found, but slight blood in urine.
Avatar n tn I cannot confirm anything without a complete clinical examination. Pain the groin before urinating can occur due to several conditions like urinary tract infections, prostatatis, epididymitis, and kidney stones etc.Drink plenty of water. You may discuss your concerns with a local health care provider. Based on a complete history and clinical examination a presumptive diagnosis can be made. I do hope it helps. Take care and regards!
Avatar m tn Hello, Such kind of chronic groin pain can be due to kidney disease like kidney stones, glomerulonephritis, inguinal hernia, nephritis, osteoarthritis and urinary system causes. In my opinion, investigations like kidney functions, blood sugar levels, ultrasound lower abdomen ,intravenous pyelography ,prostate specific antigen blood test and cystoscopy may be needed to confirm a diagnosis.
Avatar m tn In cases of hernia, a prominent bulge along with testicular pain is there and in cases of kidney or ureteric stones, pain during micturition may also be there. Lab investigations like complete blood examination, urine examination, ultrasound lower abdomen and sometimes a urethral swab will help in diagnosis. Treatment will be started thereafter. My advise would be to consult a urologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn They say there is no detectable hernia, not kidney stones or bladder stones. He can't walk or move without a whole lot of pain. The ER gave him oxycodone and it isn't even touching the pain. My husband has a very high tolerance for pain and I'm scared he may have over looked a symptom because he doesn't notice it. I'm at a loss on what to do.
4440520 tn?1366781914 However, the pain can also be due to kidney stones or infection of testis. If the pain persists, please consult your doctor for clinical examination and required tests. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
Avatar m tn I also noticed if I go a lot up and down staires, my groin pain get much worst and the testicular pain follows... i dont see a link with kidney stones for this but if it was muscular, anti-inflammatories should have been working.....
Avatar m tn Your symptoms sound like the ones I had a few years ago - at which time I swore I had some type of UTI. I thought UTI because not only was the pain in my groin, but the pain would travel to the head of my penis when stabbing and throbbing, and even when I would urinate. This went on for several months - dr would give antibiotics, it would get better, come back, more antibiotics, get better, come back.... Finally, I thought I was having an apendicitis attack and went to the emergency room.
Avatar f tn 24M. I have been having a strange pain in my groin now for around 2 weeks. I was taking Nexium for Gerd and then started on omneprozal. Around 3 weeks ago I had a bump come up on my right groin that I thought to be a hernia. It was about the size of my pinky finger and was tender to the touch. I took it easy for a few days and it went away. Then I started to feel the pain on both sides near the tendons and ligaments.
Avatar m tn I had a CT scan in October (which detected kidney stones) I have had two u/s - one in April and one in July to check for stones. (Stones were the only thing seen). I have had two flat panel x-rays (June/July) prior to each lithotripsy to locate stones. (Stones were the only thing seen). All other tests from my physical are normal. I have an appointment with my PCP next week. I am going to mention endometriosis.
Avatar f tn ), tingling in my left foot, occasional back pain, tingling in my left arm. The groin pain seems to vary in intensity. I think it is worse when I sit. It also felt worse during a recent flight. I am currently overweight which could be a factor. I have been emotional eating due to stress and anxiety. I was wondering if the problem could be due to a lack of flexibility in my inner/ outer thighs and gluts. Not sure. I don't think so though. I'm not sure if heavy work makes it worse or not.
Avatar n tn Hello, man, age 21, once when i was masturbating i had a very light right groin pain that went away after about 5 hours from ejacluating...
1301089 tn?1290670171 I know this probably isn't the best forum for this but I know all of you and trust you. Also, others have posted about kidney stones here in the past. I have a terrible pain on my right flank. I wake up with it and it only gets worse as the day wears on. It is going on a week now. I've been more nauseated than usual. I also have more severe pain in the bladder and groin area. My Lortab aren't even touching this. I am still on my feet but just barely.. I drink lots of water.
Avatar n tn In January I went to the doctor for groin pain and it was discovered that I have several kidney stones. Since then I have been to the ER several times for intense flank pain. The groin pain\pressure that I have almost never disappears. My urologist says that the groin pain\pressure that I have is not from the kidney stones. However, the groin pain is worse a few weeks before and a few weeks after the intense flank pain. It is seriously affecting my life.
