Kidney stones diet natural

Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones diet natural

Avatar f tn As you have had/still have calcium oxalate stones, your risk of getting more kidney stones is much increased. Avoid the foods mentioned and browse the web for more information on oxalate rich foods that you should avoid or eat less of. It is also very important to always stay well hydrated. Your urologist may have advised you to drink 2 litres of fluids (4 pints) during the day, more if you are doing exercises that make you sweat or perspiring in hot weather.
Avatar m tn Recurrent kidney infection can be due to diabetes, some anomaly or defect in the kidney or due to the organisms developing antibiotic resistance. Recurrent kidney stones are found renal tubular acidosis, medullary sponge kidney, Dent's disease (genetic disease of the kidney), hyperparathyroidism, primary hyperoxaluria and Crohn's disease. Since the pain comes before periods too, it can also be due to endometriosis.
Avatar f tn It does NOT cause cancer however it can be a precursor to cancer, but not without other contributing factors (genetics, smoking, drugs, EMF radiation exposure, prolonged unhealthy diet, etc.) The composition of the stones is calcium. Think of it like a testicular Gall Stone. The stones usually appear in the epididymal tubes and block the flow of sperm to the vas deferens. However, they can actually occur almost anywhere in the testicle.
Avatar f tn I'm 38 and have been diagnosed with oxilate stones/sponge kidney. I was told years ago that some birth control options could actually make it worse. I have managed to adjust my diet but I desperately need to figure out a birth control that will not make it worse. I've been told the same about antibiotics. Can you recommend a birth control and antibiotic that is ok to take? I don't smoke, don't plan on anymore children and have no allergies to medications.
18533109 tn?1465644152 Get It but ,Usually, an imaging test and an analysis of urine are done to diagnose stones. Tiny stones may cause no symptoms, but larger stones can cause pain in the area between the ribs and hips in the back. Sometimes stone formation can be prevented by changing the diet or increasing fluid intake.
Avatar f tn I am a poor water drinker which contributes to the formation of most kidney stones. I suggest that you have your stones analysed if you have not done that. I was told by 2 urologists that there is nothing that I can take or do that will change my situation. Both urologist told me the same as what yours said, my chronic back pain was not related to kidney stones. They were correct and I was diagnosed with other issues that was the cause of most of my chronic low back pain.
Avatar n tn s came back ok they told me to stop taking antibotic,I did but cont with the pain in flank always after I'm done urinating after my stream I always drip white cloudy substance, my pain is not severe and tylenol usally helps, I was wondering could this be stones? I always read that stones are very, very painful my pains not that bad.
Avatar f tn Should some of these enter the blood stream, the ONLY other organ that comes to the rescue is the kidney, that constantly filters the blood and this explains the dehydration, as the kidney now is working overtime filtering out the toxins using extra water. Water is the best detoxifying agent! Also another function of the kidneys is water regulation. When chronic conditions cause the kidney to overwork, kidney dysfunction is inevitable.
Avatar m tn Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. My kidney stone problem is a problem with oxalate. I think I will stop the turmeric for now. I am disappointed, as I thought this would help the arthritis. I certainly don't want kidney stone problems again. The calcium supplement I take is calcium citrate (not carbonate). Since I already take a prescription potassium citrate (Urocit-K), I guess the turmeric would be keeping that from doing its job of breaking down the oxalate.
3183592 tn?1344634338 I squirmed around trying to find any relief, but nothing I did made a difference. I had treated hundreds of patients with kidney stones, but now, I realized, I was the one who was about to wind up in the emergency room. My wife drove me to the hospital where I worked, and I greeted the ER director miserably letting him know that I thought I had a kidney stone.
Avatar f tn I concur with Spotjeff. My natural doctor says: "Most kidney stones are composed of calcium oxalate. Magnesium makes calcium more soluble in the urine, and inhibits the formation of calcium-oxalate crystals. One study examined 55 people with reoccurring kidney stones, who were given 500 milligrams of magnesium daily for up to 4 years. the study showed that 85% of these people remained stone0free compared with 41% in a group of people who did not receive magnesium supplements.
Avatar f tn I'm not familiar with the diet with which you refer, so I did a quick search... The first thing I find is that it restricts calories to about 600/day, which puts up a red flag immediately for me. Of course, you can probably lose weight on any diet that only allows 600 calories/day, but can you stick with it? And is it healthy? My little bit of research shows that ketogenic diets are a bit controversial as to how healthy they are.
1341923 tn?1276130446 In addition, there is an excellent natural herbal kidney product called Kidney Essentials available at which along with an all-natural, vitamin supplement patented for dogs called Paaws offers the nutrients recommended by Dr Cheng, all available in an easy to give chewable tablet.
Avatar n tn All her other blood tests are normal (sodium, pot, protein, etc) We are giving her subcutaneous fluids, a kidney diet and some probiotics. Can we do anything to get rid of the calcium deposits? Could the calcium be kidney stones? Is renal advanced (the powder supplement) really important for her to take? My vets are clueless. They can't tell me anything. We are crazy about our Pookee.
1916673 tn?1420236870 It's difficult to know what might have come first, the deterioration of kidney function or the kidney stones, which may have lead to the loss of kidney function. Of course, not all dogs have kidney stones, even those with kidney failure, so it's certainly not a straightforward debate. You may be right about green tripe and acidic stones though ...
Avatar f tn Hi, I also heard the same case of yours to my friend. For the kidney abnormalities annd/or kidney stones, those are the results of our wrong diet to the foods we eat. So natural cleansing and detoxification by 100% pure vegetable & fruit juice can help the treatment process and helps preventing kidney stones formation and prevent development of bacteria's and or cancerous cells.
1660289 tn?1302560398 Dog Food (Canine Diet and Nutrition)/Diet for bladder stones Expert: Gail Vigneault - 6/23/2008 (Canine Nutritionist) Question My 12 year old dog had surgery to remove bladder stones a week ago. We don't have a definite diagnosis on the composition yet, but the vet believes they are the calcium oxalate type. Until we know for sure, she wants to put her on a RX diet - Royal Canin S/O, which offers support for all types of stones by controlling the minerals in the food.
Avatar n tn For low back pain and abdominal pain, conditions like kidney infections, urinary tract stones, appendicitis, spine disorders have to be ruled out. Avatar m tn My Mother once had Kidney stones 20-years ago. She had an operation to have the stones removed only to find that they came back a year later in full force. She did not want to have an operation every year.... so she learnt about how apples and apple juice completely dissolves Kidney Stones. Why don't all Doctors know that? A good friend of my Father's had gallstones last year when he came to visit us. He also complained about having painful gallstone attacks everyday.

Avatar m tn Drink plenty of water! The following is for Kidney stones There are nutrients you need to add—and to limit. Vitamin A (not betacarotene) promotes healthy functioning of the urinary tract, so people who are deficient in it sometimes form kidney stones more easily than others. You’ll find vitamin A in most good general multiple vitamin and mineral supplements (which you and everyone to take even when you supplement with individual nutrients).

1963554 tn?1325451090 So we put Shaggy on a special diet food for stones...Royal Canin. We did that for a month and a half until he didn't want to eat that food any longer. Then I asked vet what can the next option be and he suggested an ultra sound. At this point his urine was having blood it it. And then the most heart breaking news I got was on Dec. 26. After his ultra sound vet showed us the ultra sound and told me the bad news... which led me to just burst out in tears and tried to fight it.
