Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones causes nhs

Avatar n tn I battle kidney stones constantly and my left kidney (pelvic, duplex) is now deteriorating and has started to fail. Reading this forum has lead me to believe very strongly that all of these problems are definitely not random and most likely linked.
Avatar n tn You are reporting right sided kidney pain. CT scan was negative for stones. Stool and urine tests negative. Other possibilities would include the liver/gallbladder, inflammatory bowel disease (specifically Crohn's disease, which can affect the small intestine) or irritable bowel disease. I would agree the endoscopy would be the next step. However, with pain the the right side, the possibility of small bowel disease should be evaluated and the endoscope won't reach that far.

Avatar n tn I have had kidney stones removed surgically on three occasions over the past ten years. Each time the Dr. has left a stent in my urinary tract. The first two times the stent had a string attached to it. When the stent was removed it caused minimal discomfort. The third time which was perfomed recently, the Dr. said he preferred not to attach a string to the stent. I agreed, not knowing that I was agreeing to a procedure that was infinitely different from my previous experiences.

Avatar n tn The last time we met, 3 days later she developed adominal pains, which may have been due to kidney stones, and started passing cloudy urine. She had many checks including STI which came back positive for mycoplasma. She assumes the infection has come from me. I immediately took a test and the results came back negative, however, I have since discovered the NHS do not check for mycoplasma.

Avatar f tn Sine then I have had four kidney operations to remove stones that had been there forever. Each surgery was worse and worse and my recovery was harder and harder. Just had my last stent taken out this past Monday. I am excited. I have no strength and use a cane for a walker . Prefice this to say I wasa hand to had combat instructor before this and in great shape. I have a bunch of physician friends, several who cut on me. They all said they same thing.
Avatar m tn The medical way is with surgery—stick an endoscope up your nostril and suck enough of it out to end the infection. This usually works, but it sometimes causes complications, or scarring, and the infection often returns. This guide will show you a simple and extremely effective way to get the saline solution where it needs to go, and get rid of your sinus problem. I am not a doctor, but my father was a highly respected family physician.
Avatar n tn I wake every morning with horrible pain in lower back (kidney area) that radiates to the front of stomach (rib area). I have had battery of tests and found nothing. I am only able to sleep 5-6 hours before pain wakes me, also unable to take a deep breath until I get out of bed (very painful just to roll over), once I stand and get out of bed the pain almost immediately starts to ease. After about 20 minutes of walking around and after first morning void, pain disappears for remainder of day.
Avatar m tn If it's larger you do not have to go through the painful surgery someone listed above, the stones can be broken smaller and dissolved with ultrasound just like kidney stones can.
748543 tn?1463449675 What's more is that I find that dental malocclusion is frequently one of the principle causes of the TMD. The article went on commenting that MRI and CAT scans are among the biggest advances in diagnosis of TMD, that is just ludicrous. While those are valuable diagnostic tools they do not show what is the underlying cause of the misalignment. I frequently find that to be the malocclusion.
940391 tn?1255758976 I appreciate finding this thread. My fiance was in the ER a few weeks ago with kidney stones and when they did a CT also found some nodules on his lungs which at the time the ER doc said were inflammatory in nature. A week and a half later he was back in the ER due to problems with the kidney stent they put in after the stones were removed and another CT was done and the nodules were obviously still present, this time the ER dr said they were not inflammatory in nature.
Avatar f tn Sometimes being dehydrated and cold causes the body to rehydrate faster than it should and you quickly sweat it all out because you try hard to warm yourself up because of the chill itself. 6. Super Warm Bath every night with a bit of sea salt in water. This helped calm the body and rehydrate it from skin down. Worked for me. Less chills. These 5 things helped me out a lot. It might not work for you guys because we are all different but it takes some experimenting to see what you lack.
Avatar n tn 1) blockage of the common bile duct by stones, even if the blockage is only temporary, can cause clay colored stool; 2) given the question of a possible pancreas problem, additional evaluation of the pancreas with ERCP may be helpful I am afraid that specific diagnoses can not be offered based on the information provided

Avatar n tn At the start I had some sharp grabing pains real low down and thought maybe a kidney stone-s . Doing research I found I was prone for stones as was taking gega amounts of tums ( calcium) and drink lots of milk along with vitamins. I thought this was maybe from irritation of the urithra. Also If diebetic as I am gases can form in urinary tract because of sugars present .
Avatar m tn Some smells can come from liver or kidney diseases, (I think it's called ketosis), or from acid reflux in the stomach, or from a brain injury 8. Some smells can come from having a bad mix of bacteria in the intestines, and somehow the smell comes out through the sinuses or lungs. The best solution that I have seen is The Schwarzbein Principle by Dr. Diana Schwarzbein, MD. 9. There is a disease called atrophic rhinitis, which involves the decay of the mucus membranes in the sinuses.

Avatar n tn Chlorpheniramine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am back, went to the ent, said there was nothing significant in my ears and nose. So a hearing test is ordered to determine if he eustatian tube is damaged. I came across a great informative website called houseclinic it focuses on ears and ear disorders. There are so many causes for ear problems, I didn't realize, but, in most cases, the tinnitis, itching,"wet" feeling is an allergic response that sometimes does require surgery.
Avatar f tn I am being scheduled to go to a gastro doctor and hope to explore this vagus nerve theory. I also have kidney stones quite often as well as prostatitis. Avatar n tn I am worried that it might be my liver or gallbladder due to stones in my gallbladder. Or could it be decreased tissue perfussion to my hands? I have tried Benadryl and creams applied to the skin, they do not phase the itching. Please help.
Avatar n tn I have the same issues as everyone else. Itchy, swollen lips with a rash often accompanied by swollen eyes. I visited the dermatologist twice this week. The first time, he thought it was a peanut allergy, so I was put on anithistimines; however, while on antihistimines I developed swollen eyes and lips! Upon visiting the doctor again, I was prescribed a topical ointment for the lip area. The doc said that this condition is tricky to diagnose.
Avatar n tn oh my gosh, while googling for "heat sensation in lower leg" I found these comments....has anyone been told what causes this? Mine started about a month or so ago and happens periodically. It is SO strange and I haven't even mentioned it to anyone for fear they'd think I was imagining it or something! I was glad to see others describing the exact same sensation. I have my annual physical in about 3 weeks and will mention it, but am also thinking my dr will think I'm a hypochondriac!
