Kidney stones blood my urine

Common Questions and Answers about Kidney stones blood my urine

11610581 tn?1419818408 If they did a urinealysis and found that your urine was clear (your words) then they probably meant that you had no blood in your urine and therefore you did not have a kidney stone. Usually with a kidney stone, although many times you can't see it with your naked eye, there will be blood in your urine. That is probably why they didn't do a Cat Scan, as they felt there wasn't a kidney stone causing your pain and problem.
Avatar n tn I had kidney stones just a week ago but the blood in your urine means that you might have pregnancy diabetes.
Avatar f tn My back still hurt a little, but now my left side hurt a lot. I went to the Doctor. Said I had blood in urine and that I had a kidney stone & should drink tons of water. It has been a week. Off & on back pain with same left side pain. Now I'm having burning in abdoman and feels like I keep having to urinate. My back hurts again. Is this how you feel before the actual stones pass? PLEASE HELP. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Now suffering from kidney stones, mental confusion, lack of motivation (mild depression), heart palpitations, dizziness/faint feeling. My urine calcium is 416, my blood calcium is 10.2, and my PTH is 23. Wondering if I have hyperparathyroidism? My urologist put me on thiazide and wants me to watch sodium intake-I'm not a salt person anyway so this is easy. My blood pressure seems to be creeping up a bit as well. I would appreciate any help!
540521 tn?1221703306 I was diagnosed with kidney stones about 7 months ago, and i have done everything my Doctor has told me to do as far as drinking water and i was drinking so much water that it was making me sick, so i cut down on how much i was drinking. I have not yet passed the stones and i am still getting pain and the stones will not pass. The stones seem to bother me the most when i am standing and being active, Can kidney stones lead to kidney Failure? How much worse can this get?
Avatar f tn After being examined, blood tests and x-rays i was told i have kidney stones.I have read alot about it but my main question is will it hurt when i pee it out. I mean its agony with it travelling and now i can feel the pain near my pelvis and i am scared to pee incase it damages me. Sorry if this sounds like a really silly question.
Avatar m tn i have been to see my gp a month ago with kidney stones, painfull cramps ,the pain has gone but im passing alot of blood when i urinate and it also stings when i urinate which is about 20 times a day im male and 29 years old any help please
Avatar m tn Every time I urinate ( which is like 20 times a day) it feels like I'm passing blades and I get a sharp pain in my kidney. There is also blood present that I can see, but not every time I urinate, mostly in the mornings and later in the evenings. I must admit that the pain is getting better everyday. My question is, are all these symptoms normal and when can I take the pipe thingy out?
Avatar f tn Kidney stones can cause hematiria (blood in your urine). In February I underwent two surgeries to get rid of 10 stones. Stones sitting in your kidney can cause kidney infections. Your best bet is to see the urologist and take care of those stones. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Has anyone had kidney stones w/o having blood in urine? My daughter had stones in Feb. Has had other problems since. Still following up on all of that with dr. The last several days she has had severe abdominal pain again on/off. Went to dr yesterday just for a urine ck, no blood they said. She was fine for the rest of the day. Then in the night woke up with terrible pain. I had to give her pain meds from when she had the stones before. Any advice is appreciated... Thanks.
Avatar f tn 20am I was rushed to the ER from sudden back pain that was unbearable I was so scared for my baby.. Came to the conclusion it's kidney stones and I became more terrified because there's not many pain killers they could give me other than tylenol and morphine, so about the last one I asked if it was ok for my baby, first they said not sure!!
Avatar n tn I had an xray done and they found that I have 2 kidnet stones that are found to be in the kidney still. They say that the stones are on the left side. Now recently it hurts all over in my abdomin and into my back. If the stones have moved is this something that is part of the process? The doctors arent in until Tues. and I am just praying that this holds off until then. I was suppose to have them broke up but she thought I could wait. What does it sound like?
Avatar n tn I am very uncomfortable besides the constant urge to go I have to strain while going. I have alot of blood in my urine. It also feels like their is something sharp in my bladder stabbing me. My uro. does not seem concerned and says I can continue a normal life and should be able to work without any problems. Is this feeling normal? The pain is very much interfering with my life. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Avatar f tn I do not agree with your doctor that kidney stones are not life threatening. If they get lodged in the ureter or block the flow of urine this is an emergency. In fact at the age of 39 a piece of stone got lodged in my ureter and I was extremely ill. The surgeon said that I was operated in time because there was a build up of pressure that had built up in the kidney due to the blockage. Had they waited any longer, he told me, I would have had to have had my kidney removed.
Avatar m tn I have a 14.20 mm stone in my right kidney which was removed by lithotripsy and now as per ultrasound report the kidney is clear and now it is two month since the treatment. But after two months still i have now a different pressure like pain at the right side (back side) due to this pressure i always feel anxiety and tiredness. When i walk or move around there is no pressure (pain) but when i sit or lay down the pressure feeling starts.
Avatar f tn It's very cloudy and smelly, and the doctor said it shows a lot of white blood cells. It has now been about a month since my last stone passed, my doctor said my pee should be normal by now. I was tested for an infection many times during the time I had the stones, and even again, at a follow up appointment after the stones were gone, and the tests all said no infection.
439171 tn?1204628633 The doctors decided for me to have another scan to make sure they had passed,i had no blood in my urine either but the last scan showed a small mass on my kidney,i have been having pain in my side, stomach, feeling tired, and pain at night like cramping sensations in my side and stomach.I am due to go back to hospital for another scan but am worried it could be something more serious.Any ideas what it could be?
Avatar f tn I am at my wits end and have no idea what else to do. I had my first kidney stones when i was 19. They first put a stent inside to help with the passing but later found out that they weren't going anywheres caue they were sitting in a pocket in my kidneys. they did Lipo and they i was sent on my way. Well for the past 12 years i had more stones returned and nothing really done expect given meds to help the pain.(which most times didn't help).
Avatar n tn I am currently not pregnant and experiencing pain in my side. Thought it may be stones -- no blood in urine. IVP shows a 3 mm stone in my right kidney (even though pain was more intense at the time on the left). I have hypothyroid and take 125 levothraxine. When I first started the medication (approximately a year ago) it helped with my symptoms (tired, Very forgetful, sore) but after about a week, symptoms came back.
Avatar f tn It helps flush the stones out because if they stay in the kidney the will get bigger. The blood in the urine could be because the stones are jagged and they can scrape the kidneys or the ureters when they move. Definately try to keep your child hydrated because there is a possiblity for a UTI to form within the stone in which case it will have to be surgically removed. I had that problem only my stone blocked the ureter and backed up my right kidney.
Avatar f tn For me, I'd get pings and pangs in my kidney as well as microhematuria (blood you cannot see by eye) in my urine when I have stones. I've also had the flank pain you describe .. for me it's been in the lower back. I hope with lots of water your stones move out for you uneveventfully. Please keep in touch. From what I've read stones <5.0mm usually move out on their own with a high % of non-complications, etc.
1226479 tn?1267209290 Sadly, I am a experienced kidney stoner... my kidneys are full of them. I had my first one detected at 19!... Kidney stones can cause kidney damage silently. As my URO had reminded me... when I want to ignore the on off stone pain, stones cause pain when they begin to obstruct the urine from flowing freely to the bladder. (They can cause pain in the kidney etc. but that is a whole different discussion.
320576 tn?1204087293 At first they said lots of blood in urine but CT show no stones so they were going to admit. Then they come in and say they found a 3mm kidney stone, gave him a ton of meds and said to follow up with PC. But they also said he is developing an ileus which is some sort blockage or something and his liver felt enlarged and stiff (we go for Ultra Sound on Nov 19th. I am so confused and tired.
Avatar f tn Do you think it is kidney stones or something serious? There was blood and protein in my urine but no sign of infection. She also did not give me meds for the pain she does not believe in narcotics. I was pretty upset about that because I have tried every aspirin and it does not help but she told me to keep trying.
Avatar f tn Be aware of any symptoms of urinary infections (pain or blood in urinating, pain in your kidney area, bladder, cloudy, dark or smelly urine) so that you can get your urine analysed and given the appropriate antibiotic if required. Formation of kidney stones is increased when the body is dehydrated. Some stones form from lots of kidney infections and cysteine stones are hereditary. So do make sure that you never get dehydrated and drink plenty of water.
Avatar m tn About 3 month ago I pass blood when urinanting so I went for blood and urine test that come back clear also done a ultrasound that come back clear as well.
Avatar m tn For about a year now I have had a constant pain in my back that goes from my back to my side, then back up to my back again. At first it was only in my side so I thought I had appendicitis. Went to the ER and they said it is possibly stones. They gave me some ibuprofin 800 and told me to drink plenty of water. I have been doing this, but a year later the pain is still there.
Avatar f tn Urine showed visible blood. They said oh your probably having kidney stones. Ugh. Ct scan found no stones. They checked me then for cysts and gave me an ultra sound..came back negative. The pain was coming in waves with lots of pressure in my back. The nurse said my urine had some bacteria in it..but they doubted I had an infection. Today the pain is ALOT less but I can still see blood in my urine and there's alot of pressure in my back. Im going to see the urologist (sp?) today.
