Avatar n tn php If not, the doctors could be just concerning about kidney infection due to the bladder infection which can get very serious. But no matter what there is always a possibility even at a young age to have something that serious.

192055 tn?1263555537 Kidney stones meant that I don't think they did a thorough test either, so they just generalized it. She had pains in her back, but no pain urinating. She had recurring UTI'sI wouldn't worry too much about cancer, but it's a good idea to get checked out anyway. We had to go out of town to get her final diagnosis. It was called UPJ obstruction. Her kidney was unable to drain, therefore, it swelled up and caused the pain.It was most likely a congenital defect.
Avatar f tn pain is colicky I guess. She mentioned a kidney stone but seemed to think that the lack of blood in the urinalysis suggested no kidney stone. I haven't had any tests other than the urinalysis. But, again, the pain isn't unbearable as I would think it would be in the case of a kidney stone or even a kidney infection. It does seem to be radiating a little lower down my back than it did yesterday though. I don't know, the doc is calling me tomorrow to check on me.
554628 tn?1362777919 Hi, nausea, headache and kidney pain can be related with nephropathy (kidney disorder), urine test and blood urea and creatinine are usually done for diagnosis. Kidney stones do cause similar kind of symptoms; ultrasound is quite diagnostic for stones.

Avatar n tn He had a stomach virus and he was getting treatment and then it went to a bladder infection and from the bladder it turned into a kidney infection. He got got treatment and he got better. About 2 weeks later he is back in the hospital with the same problem and they cant figure out where the infection is coming from. 11610581 tn?1419814808 I just recently was diagnosed with an 8mm stone in my ureter, half way between my kidney and bladder determained by an ultrasound despite clear urine (no infection or blood)
Avatar f tn In February I underwent two surgeries to get rid of 10 stones. Stones sitting in your kidney can cause kidney infections. Your best bet is to see the urologist and take care of those stones. Good luck to you!
540521 tn?1221699706 s a urinary tract infection, or it could be kidney stones as well. The kidney stones could be hiding, i have heard of that. Has your doctor given you anything for the pain? I hope everything goes well on Wednesday and hopefully they will have more answers for you. I know it's frustrating, and i am frustrated as well but i just take it one day at a time and i would tell your doctor just how much pain you are in, maybe he can help or give you a stronger medication.
Avatar n tn I had kidney stones just a week ago but the blood in your urine means that you might have pregnancy diabetes.
Avatar f tn Blood can indicate an infection, kidney stones, trauma, or bleeding from a bladder or kidney tumor. Did you speak with their doctor?
Avatar f tn I am a 40 year old female with a history of kidney stones. Latest ultrasound (1 year ago) noted stones bilaterally. I have had previous symptoms of UTI only to have tests come back negative for infection but positive for blood. The last 4 urine samples have all tested positive for microscopic blood ( all tests done in the past 5 months). I just had my anual physical 1 month ago and urine test noted traces of blood with no infection. My worry is that this could be a sign of bladder cancer.
1012861 tn?1250949418 could you have a kidney infection? I got recurrent kidney infections in my second pregnancy and the pain would just start out of nowhere and get intense really fast. And I remember my doctor thinking I could possibly have kidney stones so maybe its related?
Avatar n tn Causes can be divided according to the affected organ and they are Kidney conditions (infection, pyelonephritis, kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease), Bladder conditions (cystitis, bladder polyp, bladder tumor), Urethral conditions (Sexually transmitted diseases, urethral injury, vaginal inflammation), and certain bleeding disorders. You should visit your urologist who needs to conduct a detailed examination. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn Have you been checked for anything besides kidney infections? Like possibly a kidney stone. Do you have any blood in your urine? Do you have any other symptoms. For example - fatigue, body pain, sleep problems or anything out of the ordinary?
Avatar f tn The ER performed blood tests, urine tests and a CT scan all came back negative for any kind of infection or stones, with the exception on the 6mm ston in my kidney. I got no real answer why this may have happened. When I got home my urine seemed to clear up and go back to normal. I have done no exercising or activities that may have contributed to this, I also had no pain, so I don't believ I passed a stone. Should I be concerned? Or just let it go cause it cleared up on its own?
Avatar m tn Causes can be divided according to the affected organ and they are Kidney conditions (infection, pyelonephritis, kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease), Bladder conditions (cystitis, bladder polyp, bladder tumor), Urethral conditions (Sexually transmitted diseases, urethral injury) and certain bleeding disorders. When the blood in the urine is at the beginning of urination, it most likely comes from the urethra, (the tube from the bladder to the outside).
1966687 tn?1325731223 It is pretty common for something like a kidney stone to cause blood in urine. These can get extremely serious may even be the cause of an UTI, although sometimes they can pass without notice nor problem. I'm not saying this is what caused the blood in the urine, just using it as an example because kidney stones are pretty common. As it is, do your best to not be afraid, and make sure you keep up with your doctor.
Avatar n tn Hi, Kidney stones form when the components of urine are out of balance. When this happens, the urine contains more crystal-forming substances, such as calcium and uric acid. Kidney stones are also prone to develop in highly acidic or highly alkaline urine. Sometimes, the underlying cause is an inherited metabolic disorder or kidney disease. Gout, inflammatory bowel disease and some medications promote specific types of kidney stones.
