Avatar m tn sensation when urinating, stream is weak and color is mildy yellow. Could this be a kidney stone stuck in my bladder or is there another cause.
Avatar n tn I have had half a dozen kidney stones in the last year or so. This definitely sounds like it could be a stone. The pain generally happens as the stone goes into the ureter and travels to the bladder. Once in the bladder, it doesn't usually hurt too much but may cause frequent urination, etc. If you don't have anymore pain, i would just strain your urine for awhile and wait to pass the stone. If you have more pain, you can go to the ER and have a scan done.
Avatar m tn Generally you feel the pain as the stone goes from the kidney, through the ureter, to the bladder. While it just kind of hangs out in the bladder, it causes your bladder to spasm a bit making you feel like you really need to go even though there is not much urine in there. I know it is difficult to do, but try to drink a whole lot of fluid and wait quite awhile before going to the bathroom. Use force when you do go to the bathroom.
Avatar f tn I've been told i have kidney and bladder stones. Would intercourse pose a problem to this issues?
Avatar f tn Well I had really bad pain on my left side to the point I was crying so I went to the hospital and there keeping me over night to pass my kidney stones. Anyone else gone through this?
Avatar f tn Hi, Kidney stones often do not cause any symptoms. Usually, there is extreme pain, which begins suddenly when a stone moves in the urinary tract and blocks the flow of urine. If the stone is too large to pass easily, pain continues as the muscles in the wall of the narrow ureter try to squeeze the stone into the bladder. As the stone moves and the body tries to push it out, blood may appear in the urine, making the urine reddish.

Avatar n tn I was told that the pain is caused when the stones is going through the ureter. Which is a small tube that is attached to the kidney and connects to the bladder.
Avatar f tn Cystitis (inflammation of the bladder) can be a cause apart from kidney stones. Conditions of the reproductive organs giving rise to pain include endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cysts, fibroids. If you hav ealready consulted a Gynaecologist and any abnormality is ruled out, then it most probably is due to the kidney stones. You can take the medications that have been prescribed for the pain. ref:http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/abdominalpains.
Avatar m tn Hi, Bladder stones may not be as common as that of kidney stones and mechanism for their development is not as well understood. However, in calculus or stone formation it is important to note that certain factors play an essential role: Urine supersaturation, the interplay between crystallization promoters and inhibitors, particle retention and the matrix content (1). Supersaturation refers to urine supersaturation ( less water, the higher the concentration of particles)with certain salts.
Avatar n tn I passed four and since around 24 weeks have one blocking urine flow from my kidneys to my bladder causing swelling and extreme pain. I have been on and off of pain killer s since the pain cause s pre mature labor and that is more risky. The only advice I have is a heating pad, drink tons of water and orange juice and lemonade also lemon in your water. I know how you feel! And if it gets bad enough they can give you stronger than tylonel. Vicaden and percacet are perfectly fine.
Avatar n tn Hi, Lower back pain on one side that increases on resuming activity after one has been lying down for a while and pain radiating down one lower limb, mainly the inner side of the thigh and the back of the knee has been associated with kidney stones or ureteral stones. Bladder infection is usually characterized by increased frequency of urination, pain or burning sensation during urination, lower abdominal pain of a dull. cramping type, and some amount of back pain, and blood in the urine.
Avatar f tn This is always a possibility when ureteroscopy is done to eliminate stones. The tip of the stent rubs against the bladder, and can cause bladder pain or a feeling of always needing to urinate. The stent does widen the ureter to make a return look much easier to get the stones out.
Avatar f tn my heart goes out to him they say the pain when passing stones is like giving birth, my boyfrind suffers from kidney stones ive seen him in such bad pain that he cant move and his urine the colour of cranberry juice, i know your proberly sick of being told the same thing but while hes actually passing a stone all he can do is take plenty of painkillers and drink loads of water to flush the stone out easier, my boyfriend had lipotripsy which sends shock waves to the kidneys what basically crum

I have frequency, I have to go about 30 times in a 24 hr. period and I am taking ditropan xl 5mg. I am also on pryidium plus 2x's a day.
11610581 tn?1419818408 That is probably why they didn't do a Cat Scan, as they felt there wasn't a kidney stone causing your pain and problem.
Avatar f tn Anyone else have kidney stones..? If so what do you do about it. It is SO painful..
895634 tn?1283992810 Kidney stone often is hereditary so you should ask if any relatives also had kidney stones. Taking pain killers for the pain is not the proper treatment for kidney stones. Taking a pain killer to avoid the pain is not good medicine. It is masking the underlying condition which can be a serious one. A hepatologist is not an expert in kidney disease. They should refer you to a Urologist. A Urologist specializes in diseases and conditions of the kidneys and urinary track.
Avatar f tn She said i have kidbey stones that i have to let pass and ive never been in such pain.. i was throwing up pisssing my pants and experiencing the kidney stones all at once. she gave me painkillers and im waiting for them to pass.. has anyone else had an experience with being preg with kidney stones??
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor today and she said it was kidney stones but I need to go see a Urologist. Last time I have kidney stones I was in worse pain then when I was in labor and ended up in the hospital. Well I can not get in for a few more weeks. Do you think it is kidney stones or something serious? There was blood and protein in my urine but no sign of infection. She also did not give me meds for the pain she does not believe in narcotics.
Avatar f tn I'm not a doctor, but do have too much experience with kidney stones. For me, I'd get pings and pangs in my kidney as well as microhematuria (blood you cannot see by eye) in my urine when I have stones. I've also had the flank pain you describe .. for me it's been in the lower back. I hope with lots of water your stones move out for you uneveventfully. Please keep in touch. From what I've read stones <5.0mm usually move out on their own with a high % of non-complications, etc.
Avatar f tn Hi hun, i get kidney stones when im prego and when im not over the last year i have passed 60 of them and thats not a typo. My son was fine, just make sure you drink lots of water and watch for infection you will be fine. I completely understand what your going through!
5900973 tn?1396067991 I have contractions when I'm in pain, and it caused a UTI at first, which really irritated my uterus, and I had to go to the hospital and get a shot to calm it down. The doctor is giving me another week to make a plan, but if the baby hasn't engaged, it sounds like a c-section is the best route for both of us.
1226479 tn?1267209290 and of course they diagnosed me with kidney stones(one) and ordered me to see a urologist in a couple of days. My delemna is that I'm uninsured and I'm wondering, since I've had no pain even during urination and no discoloration, whether I can skip going to the urologist and save the money? Thanks.
472139 tn?1211336163 So sorry to hear this, gosh lately i have heard of more and more hear having kidney stones?? I wonder if this has anything to do with us taking too many pain pills? I don't know anything about methadone, but i wish u luck!!!
Avatar f tn Be aware of any symptoms of urinary infections (pain or blood in urinating, pain in your kidney area, bladder, cloudy, dark or smelly urine) so that you can get your urine analysed and given the appropriate antibiotic if required. Formation of kidney stones is increased when the body is dehydrated. Some stones form from lots of kidney infections and cysteine stones are hereditary. So do make sure that you never get dehydrated and drink plenty of water.
Avatar m tn sir , I have three stones in three different parts of my body first is in the gall-bladder {9mm} ,second in right kidney 7mm,third in distal part of left ureter 5mm ,is their any possibilty it can go with medicines or laser treatment ? but not open surgery .
Avatar n tn Renal CT scan showed 1 mm stone in right kidney, 2 even smaller stones in left kidney. Was given hydrocodone for pain and phenagren in case pain meds cause nausea and told to see a urologist asap. My question is, if the stones are still in my kidneys how can they be causing all the lower abdominal pain and pressure. This pain is worse after I walk much, and when my bladder is getting full before I urinate. Urination does NOT hurt though. I have had no fever at all.
Avatar n tn You need to watch if the dog is in pain, having problems urinating, etc. I take it these are bladder stones? They are more common then kidney stones. It is considered a major surgery to remove them and they may become chronic. You definitely have to watch the diet. Ask your Vet for a recommendation on the food. There are dog food companies that do make special diets for animals with stones!
