m a 30 year old Caucasian woman who has been with the same male Caucasian partner (husband) for 3.5 years. In the summer of 2008 I began having drenching night sweats - theycame often in the summer then went away in the winter. They came back the following summer and again they went away at winter. I have always thought they were because of a heavy winter duvet we use and because I seem to be a warmer person than normal.
I am 22 years old, two kids, but for the last year I have been having terrible night sweats. They are so bad that my hair is soaked my pillow is wet and my clothes are sticking to me. I don't skip nights with my sweats it happens every night.. Recently I have been having papilations that last longer than they use to, one episode had me shaking my head to catch my breath.
For the first time in my life, I had severe night sweats along with the salivary gland infection. For the past week, I have had a low-grade fever every day (around 99.4, but as I usually hover in the high 97s, that is enough to make me hot) and fairly drenching night sweats every other night. At this time, I have no other symptoms My doctor did a CBC, sed rate, thyroid function, kidney function, liver function, and ANA tests and all came back normal. I have no palpable swollen lymph nodes.

My symptoms started in December. I had swollen neck lymph nodes, night sweats and chills. Doctor wasn't concerned about cancer but did a neck CT scan which came back good. WBC was a little elevated, so we did a Mono and HIV test. All good.
February comes around and I have same symptoms. Now I have a rapid heart beat and flushing. Diagnosed as sinus tachycardia. In the mean time, we do a few other tests for other odd diseases/cancers.

My question is about night sweats. I am a very anxious person and have had night sweats in the past, but recently have been having them almost every night. I check my temp before bed and it is normal and when I wake up there will be light sweat not soaking but noticable sweating on my body. When I check temp I still have no fever. Wouldn't I have fever if the sweats where from hiv?
