Joint pain nutrition

Common Questions and Answers about Joint pain nutrition

Avatar f tn Odd as this may sound, you may have a nutrition problem. Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy) causes horrific bone and joint pain and B12 causes numbness, usually beginning in fingers and toes and spreading. If you eat balanced meals, you may have an absorbtion problem in your small intestine. Vitamin levels can be checked with a simple blood test ordered by your family doctor. I battle malnutrition constantly due to abdominal adhesions so I'm intimately acquainted with it.
Avatar m tn In addition I have pain in the epiditimis (right side only) and joint pain (right side only) mostly in the hip and knee but also the hand back and ankle and this has been getting worse progressively. Most recent tests have also shown slightly raised ESR levels, CRP and white blood cell count normal.

Am I to young to have arthritis? 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Tarsal Tunnel (on both my feet) I dont take any vitamins. Im 5'2 my weight is 125lbs. I have been experiencing a lot of stress with my divorced, child custody battle and loosing my job. Can stress & lack of nutrition be the cause of my pain.
Avatar f tn I had gastric bypass surgery & now that ive lost 82 lbs, im having more knee pain than before the surgery. I would occasionally have knee pain when I was extremely overweight whenever going up & down stairs. Now that I ve lost the weight, my knees hurt more often & I have to be careful when stepping up or down stairs, or bending over to pick something up off the floor. Is this because im not working out at all?
2187849 tn?1338068981 I have done hydrotherapy, message therapy and various bone/joint medications with him trying to improve his range of movement and ease his pain. His most recent surgery (removing the metal plate which had been in his leg for two years) seems to have improved his condition - but it also came along with recovery time and more therapy.
417564 tn?1287982827 In our research prior to our detox, we learned that a vitamin deficiency caused by methadone is the primary factor in pain associated with withdrawals. We then determined that a safe amount of vitamins is alot! We eased through the detox with far more ease than others. Our counselor kept telling me that I was not a doctor, but we were being careful, conscious...and applying common sense and natural healing techniques (very effective, not used by many dr.'s)...Still, doing great.
Avatar f tn My mom has severe chronic pain, joint pain and she found out in 08 that she has celiacs, she was either in pain or nausea and vomiting. She has always felt bloated all her life since she can remember then all of a sudden she lost alot of weight, went into the hospital and they found it is was celiacs. Have your doc order the test, find out! But in the mean time I would just go on a gluten free diet, its better for you anyway since god knows what they put in food today....
Avatar f tn I work out regularly, and could tell you that I have stressed knee joints before with squats and lunges. This is not like that type of joint pain. It is a sudden onset severe joint pain that is like no other pain I have ever felt before. Please let me know if you have gotten any results. I am going to be seeing the doctor tomorrow.

Avatar f tn I started having joint pain a couple of weeks after gall bladder surgery. It is continually getting worse and in my shoulders, wrists and right jaw. My left hip joint has gotten better. The pain hurts really bad at night when I am laying and try to move my arms. I am also having trouble chewing with my jaw in pain. I am 63 years old and a Real Estate Agent. I never had a pain at all until after the surgery. I have always been in good health and don't drink or smoke.
Avatar f tn Joint pain refers to discomfort, aches, and soreness in any of the body's joints. Joint pain is a common complaint, and does not typically require a hospital visit. Arthritis is a frequent cause of joint pain.
Avatar f tn I got diagnosed with hsv2 last fall. After continual outbreaks my doc finally put me on suppression therapy. I've had weight gain depression and now joint pain. It's a 6 month dose and one month to go. Does the joint pain go away after dosage is done? Does the weight come off? I exercise regularly and eat properly. Depression I know is a mental battle. I just don't like the joint pain as I'm trying to get this weight off.

Avatar m tn Hello Everyone, My concern is as follows: the only exposure I have is unprotected oral performed on other men. Since the beginning of the year i have been experiencing pain on my both knees that come and go and well, I'd like to know how does ars joint pain feel like. The doctor diagnosed some patellar disfunction but I doubt it, since I only started running last year and I read professional runners are those who get it. Or something.
Avatar m tn Alternatively, your physician might be able to recommend other treatments, possibly including injections into the joint itself or surgery, that can improve your joint pain.
Avatar f tn I have joint pain in my knees and elbows, weakness in knees after kneeling down and trying to stand up. I have numbness that comes and goes in my feet. My chemo/raidiation treatments ended a year ago. Are these aches and pains caused by the after effects of the drugs and radiation? I also have trouble taking antibiotics or pain meds. I seems to get every side effect listed. Alcohol of any type bothers me also. I use to enjoy a glass of wine but no longer.
