Avatar n tn good day i am 27 years old and have developed sinus over the years, with the change of seasons i sometimes experience discomfort in my face like the nose area and eye area when the wind blows my eyes get teary and i seem to cough, and about a few months ago i went to a doctor and he explained that there is swelling in my jaw appearently i have some sort of an overbite which is causing some skewness in my mouth, he gave my muscle relaxers to ease the pain, but the sinus pain aswell as the jaw
146298 tn?1258712247 They go from my eye to my jaw and specific points of pain are jaw, base of skull, top of skull, behind ear, where shoulder meets neck. When I have such a headache I am very dizzy, technically it's vertigo. After the ache has begun my nostril slowly closes itself and adds a bit to the pressure, but I've had sinus headaches and this is different. Something in my head seems to be swelling and blocking the nasal passage rather than the nasal passage being blocked and causing the pain.
Avatar f tn For the past year it seems that my sinus infections are becoming more and more frequent. Headache, ear pain, dizzyness, facial pressure, jaw pain and when they are really bad i can't even get out of bed and go to work because i am so exhausted and ill feeling all i want to do is sleep the day away. I have been missing a lot of work and am usually off for two days when i get sick. This is happening at least one to two times a month. I am going to see an ENT, hope he can help.
Avatar n tn AT THE END OF APRIL, THE PAIN RETURNED. MY ORAL SURGEON CHECKED ME AGAIN, AS DID MY REGULAR DENTIST. IN ADDITION TO THE JAW PAIN, I WAS HAVING EAR PAIN, AND THE GUM AREA (WHERE THE TOOTH WAS) WAS VERY SORE. THE ORAL SURGEON REFERRED ME TO A GUM SPECIALIST WHO SAID MY GUM LOOKED OK, BUT I MIGHT NEED AN INPLANT. THE EAR PAIN CONTINUED, SO I WAS SENT TO AN ENT DOCTOR WHO SAID MY EAR LOOKED FINE.
Avatar n tn It started as sinus headaches 2 months ago, then it turned into pressure all over my face and an earache with jaw pain. That was 3 weeks ago. Now it is jaw pain, dizziness, and sinus pressure. My ENT had a CT done and said my sinuses are basically clear but I have 2 small polyps in a cavity and teeth growing in y nasal cavity?...Apparently this is normal? But now I am severely depressed and anxious too. He seems to think all of this stemed from stress so he gave me valium.
Avatar f tn I really want this taken care of so I can feel better and I am so tired of having to take pain medication because the headaches, facial and jaw pain are so severe. Has anyone had these procedures done? I was told that expansile lesions are very rare in the maxillary sinus and they believe it occurred when the original dentist shoved the bone graft material into the sinus cavity.
Avatar m tn s gone on several months and I cannot get an answer as to why. I can hardly even eat because of the pain. My jaw is really weak as well. I'm not sure if this is from tmj or something else. I also have terrible headaches so maybe it is neurological?
Avatar m tn I grind my teeth at night, have sinus problems in the winter, wear old glasses that don't fit much anymore and rest on my cheekbone, and have lots of anxiety. On Saturday, I had a small panic attack, most of it induced by way to much coffee (I had a date later that night and didn't want to be tired!). I breathed through the panic attack, but the mix of anxiety and coffee made me want to grind my teeth while I was awake!
1755089 tn?1376053555 That is why when I went to one doctor before being diaganois with Chair they told me I had TMJ because my jaw hurt, facial pain, and a hard time swallowing. When explained about this I was told. Look at the big picture of your head, neck. All the muscle etc all have to work together and if one muscle is stuggling you will experiece pain in different area's of your head. I think that is why Chairi is so hard to find because of experience's like you are having. I wish the best.
Avatar f tn I have been have episodes of left chest pain and jaw pain for about 2 months. I have had a stress echo which was normal. I had a cardiac ct with calcium scoring in which my calcium score was 0 and my arteries were clear ( they couldn't see my right coronary artery completely but they assured me it wasn't my heart). I have been on Nexium for my stomach and have been referred to a GI doctor but I continue to have this pain and jaw tightness.
237053 tn?1258828426 Does anyone else experience this? I have sinus problems too so it may be from that as well, but I only notice it when I am having my other sx. Also I keep getting these weird cold/numb patches on legs ( a little different than the cold water feeling), I also get it on my face. It only lasts a brief moment, but also very weird. Also last night I was sure the inside of my mouth/tongue was going numb. This too only lasted briefly, but kinda scary.
659608 tn?1318289366 It is however more than possible that you could have an infection in your jaw, say, from an impacted or infected wisdom tooth. Tooth pain can often make the ear and neck hurt as well (just as an ear infection can make the teeth hurt...). There is also the possibility that there is nothing wrong with you dentally either and you are suffering from neuralgic pain.
Avatar m tn It sounds as if you may have TMJ.Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Syndrome is hard to diagnose and will cause excuriating pain. Here are just some of the symptoms... Pain in the facial muscles and jaw joints may radiate to the neck or shoulders. Joints may be overstretched. You may experience muscle spasms from TMJ syndrome. You may feel pain every time you talk, chew, or yawn. Pain usually appears in the joint itself, in front of the ear, but it may move elsewhere in the skull, face, or jaw.
Avatar n tn Sinus tooth ache almost always involves upper posterior teeth. Please keep in mind that tooth ache is not always odontogenic. If your dentist can not identify structural pathology of dentoalveolar structure, seeing an orofacial pain specialist is advised.
Avatar m tn Hello, The primary symptom of TMJ syndrome is pain in the jaw and muscle spasms which can ultimately cause jaw clenching. The other symptoms that you are having are secondary symptoms. Some of the other conditions which are associated with such symptoms are sinus headaches and cluster headaches. Sinus headaches are caused by sinus congestion and inflammation (called sinusitis).
Avatar n tn You can find diagrams of the mandible that will show you that primarily one nerve serves that lower jaw bone (mandible). Sometimes Sinus problems can give refered numbness and /or referred/pains. I can't diagnose problems so this is my suggestion.
Avatar f tn Most of your symptoms you listed could be related to TMJ including the headaches, ear pain, jaw pain, lightheadedness. Vitamin D deficency can cause a lot of pain. Make sure that you are now getting enough Vitamin D. Also, the chiropractor should be able to help with your sinus issues. There are sinus massages that his therapist could do that really work. Also, adjusting the neck will help drain your sinuses.
1500294 tn?1290272209 can tmj REALLY cause deep ear pain along with throat pain??? my jaw is tender once in a while..but nothing like my ear ache....i worry like crazy about throat cancer or an anurysm (sp?) brewing in my carotid artery or something!!!!!!! i also do have chronic allergies and sinus problems so that probably doesnt' help anyways.
Avatar f tn Pain below ear/in jaw began about 6 months ago. Tongue pain is recent, ear pain and sinus pain/congestion have increased from allergies but were present prior to allergen exposure. Lymph nodes in neck are perpetually swollen but worse in the last couple months (again, possibly allergies?). Other relevant/potentially relevant info: have reflux for which I am on Prilosec.
Avatar f tn Maybe a slight sinus issue, and yes I have yet another dentist appt. I just feel like I'm always going, and this happens with other teeth as well. Used to have a guard to wear at night but it seemed to make things worse. Klonopin at night has helped immensely but who wants to keep doing that?
Avatar f tn I felt like my vision was off center, I had shoulder pain, neck pain. sinus problems, and stuffy itchy ears, and feelings of being off balance. I was told its all in my mind ,but that was back some years ago. I eventually got an ortho who put me on a night guard.. i would grind my teeth so hard at night I cracked the dang thing! The night guard didnt seem to help me much, as I was just grinding, and biting on it. It might have saved some teeth, but didnt help my tmj in the least.
Avatar m tn I think i have a brain tumor because these are the symptoms i have - Mild headachs not bad at all, Back of my eye pain or right under my eyebrow, Being very tired but i think it might be just because i get 5 hours of sleep a night, another thing is jaw pain right behind my molor tooth, Mild neck pain on the sides of my neck. And i also have anxiety disorder but i really dont know if i have one or not please help. i have been getting these symptoms for about 2 weeks now.
Avatar n tn i think i have got sinus problems how can you tell when you got sinus? thanks for you replied.
Avatar f tn I have had headache and sinus/ear problems it seems forever. I had a deviated septum surgery done back in the 70's and that did help a bit with draining. But, since the last 10 years I MUST stay away from AC, cold air, fans, drafts, etc. If I have been in any of these for more than 10 minutes, the next day my head feels swollen--the whole head hurts, then it goes into my ears with a terrible ear ache and then down into the sinus cavities.
Avatar n tn There may never have been any signs of jaw or jaw joint problems. However, upon reading a proper transcranial x-ray there is undeniable proof that the joint is damaged and responsible for mediating the migraine problem. It is like the story of the frog in the pot: put a frog in a lukewarm pot and bring it to boil slowly, the frog will boil to death. However, throw a frog into a boiling pot and the frog will jump out to save itself.
